America's Best Clown

So, after yesterday's conversation about cruelty to animals at the circus, I'm playing  it safe today.  :)

There's no such thing as a circus without clowns, of course.  This one is Bello, from the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus.  I took the pic last year when he started coming up into the stands, just a few feet away from us.  I was lucky!

But guess what!  This year he was nowhere to be found!  No Bello anywhere.  And that made us all sad, Nicholas included.  We missed him!  No matter what aerial tricks or acrobatics he did, his hair always stayed in place!

No cruelty involved that I know of!

I want you to know that yesterday's conversation was a real eye-opener for me, thanks to the candid honesty of many of you!  I'm still chewing my cud over all of it.

Nice catch. Maybe he got tired of blowdrying his hair upside down before every show. wink
Ginnie Hart: HA! No doubt about that, Josie! smile

this is a great one, and the fact you took aout the border adds a lot !! you caught the guy at the very right moment !! have a good week !!!
Ginnie Hart: I don't always NOT use a border, Dafredo, but I felt this did well without one. You've just confirmed my choice. Thank you. smile
Arguably a hairdo like this is cruelty to humans, but it is an excellent shot regardless.
Ginnie Hart: LOL, Martin. I'm still laughing!!! Thanks.
I wonder if anyone would recognize him on the street without his outrageously styled hair? Great photo!
Ginnie Hart: Good question, Karen. He'd probably look scary. smile Thanks for your comment.
Amazing capture of expressions, great timing, and of course, a very nice idea to do away with the border for this one.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks a million, Thomas! smile
I had a jacket just like this back in the early 70's. Fashion eh, the best stuff just never goes away.
Ginnie Hart: HA, And do you still wear it, David???? grin

Great portrait and i like the 'no border'. Cruelty to hair? heh, heh
Ginnie Hart: Black on black works well here, Louis, doesn't it. smile Thanks for your lovely comments, as always.

Wow, you guys get to choose: border or not. I agree, this is so perfect without it.

I love this guy!
Ginnie Hart: HA! Yes, Ruth. We can't play around with the template but we do have the border/no border option. We also have the white/black background option. So in this case, black on black really works well, doesn't it?! smile

Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Dotun. You're a sweetheart.

It took me some years to overcome the fear of clowns... I don't know why, but maybe because of the hair? smile
Ginnie Hart: HA! Now I'm laughing out loud, Manola. I think that would do it. Thanks for your comment. smile

Looks like he should be in a 70's pop group not the circus Ginnie grin well captured.
Ginnie Hart: HA! That's what I thought, Chris. Since he wasn't there this year, maybe that's exactly what he decided to do! smile
Very well done, the expression of the guy is wonderful. Maybe can you send me the adress of the hair dresser smile smile
Ginnie Hart: HaHaHa. Zeb, you are way too funny! smile
