It's Monday

SMILE!

(somewhere in Acadia National Park, Maine)

This happens to be one of my happiest images from our recent trip to America.

My sister, Ruth, (with her husband Don) and Astrid, are looking at Jordan Pond in the park.

i love the bright colours, Ginnie. is that the same camera of Astrid with that insane zoom?
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Ayush, about Astrid's new camera. It's two upgrades after mine (with a zoom that reaches to 1365 mm...mine is 1200 mm). Actually, I bought the same camera but didn't receive mine till the end of the trip and therefore haven't really used it much yet. So, yes, now we both have the exact same camera!!! smile
A happy threesome captured well Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Frank. We LOVE being with Don and Ruth.

Yes...a fine keeper, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Ray.
Comme on dit chez nous, l'arroseur arrosé.
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Martine.
Wonderful shot - it makes me happy to see it!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elizabeth. Me, too. smile

What a great capture when they're taking in the views and trying to capture the right moment! I love that you were able to see the Autumn colors at this time.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Steven. I don't know who cracked a joke but it really was "the right moment."

We had wonderful walks and talks together and they showed us wonderful places. I like it that we all line up here to see the beauty of the place and we all take it in.
Ginnie Hart: It's a good way to remember the entire time with them, Astrid. Bedankt.

They are entranced. So you have a new camera, too, Ginnie?
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Lisl. After seeing the new features, some of which are important to me (like a zoom button that makes no sound when you take a video--one of my pet peeves on mine), I decided to upgrade as well (two upgrades higher than mine). So now we both have the same camera! But I really haven't used mine yet on a trip/outing. That will come soon, I'm sure.
A beautiful colored trio. Have a good day Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Marie. Merci. The same to you as well.
Cela restera un très bon souvenir , merci pour les photos !
Ginnie Hart: Definitely, Claudine. A very happy memory!

like the strong colours in this, especially in the trees. It's good that the photographers are trying different viewpoint than by just standing up.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Alan. I'd be the one standing up if I were in the image, since my knees can't handle what they're doing. (sigh)
Een heerlijk blij en actueel familieportret smile
Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, Marjolein. Maybe we should try family portraits like this more often, right? smile

a fine family picture - I wonder tha they all are kneeling - in reverence to this Pond? It must be wonderful.
Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, Philine. I think they liked the POV when kneeling, though if I were there, I'd be standing, because of my knees. sad

Is the pond known for rare wildlife Ginnie?
Ginnie Hart: To be honest, Chad, I'm not sure what it's known for but Astrid and I will both show it on Wednesday! Actually, now that I think of it, maybe that's what it IS known for (which you'll see).
The squatting done is OK...it's the getting up again that is more difficult grin
Ginnie Hart: My sentiment exactly, Bill. I don't even try anymore. Even though I have a fake left knee, it is not happy with squats/bends.
Je ne sais pas ce qu'ils observent et photographient, mais en effet, cela leur donne le sourire.
Bonne journée Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: I'll be showing what they saw on Wednesday, Pascale. smile Merci.
the story of the story tellers smile i like it too!
Ginnie Hart: The story of the story tellers, indeed, Elaine. Thank you. smile
The Team Photo.....it's great Ginnie! smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir!

een heerlijk familieportret, dat me vrolijk stemt Ginnie

have a nice day Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, Willy. I was so happy when I saw this on the big screen later. smile
A great picture Ginnie. I caught up with your stay in Maine on your blog the other day, great you could spend time with your family, you met one of your brothers also I believe.
Ginnie Hart: So, yes, Brian, I now have a brother also living in Maine, 20 minutes away from Ruth. His wife died a year ago, so he was footloose and fancy free to move near Ruth in the area of the country he loves.
Acadia has very much our landscape. Ruth was one of my blog friends in the old, old Cuidado days.
Ginnie Hart: I declare, Mary, about Ruth. That was a long time ago!!!
But where are daughter A and grandson N? We need them to complete this happy moment, right?

People selling ice cream in the background? I would love an orange ice lolly in cold November.
Ginnie Hart: A and N, of course, were hundreds of miles south of Maine in Georgia, LC. But, I know, details. HA! On Wednesday you'll see what they were all smiling about. smile

such a lovely countryside

nice capture of friends as well
Ginnie Hart: Having been to England, Sherri, and Cornwall in specific, I can understand why this area of the USA is call NEW England. There were so many harbors and lovely spots that made me feel I was in another country. When family are also friends, it really is special!
I can feel your happiness! Lovely image. Friendship
Ginnie Hart: So can you can, Ruthie. Thank you.
I thought they were birdwatchers smile
Ginnie Hart: HAHAHA! Well, I can see why, Tom. smile
I got in! Google worked.
That is a wonderful joyful shot.
Ginnie Hart: So glad you kept at it, Michael...and thank you. I have also told our administrator of the problem, which one other person has also mentioned, so it's not just you.
Admirable trio! Nice day to you Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
