i the caps they are wearing, Ginnie. all safely tucked away for the winter - and about time too i imagine.
Ginnie Hart: I know, Ayush. All dressed for their part! I'm sure the cows are glad to be down the mountain by now.

Well caught, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Ray.
Jolis couvre-chefs. Je trouve que la vache est très maigre.
Ginnie Hart: Many of the cows we saw that day, Martine, looked like skin and bones...but I have no clue why?
Wonderfully dated looking image! That video was fun!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elizabeth. We'll never forget that day!
It looks like they really look after the cattle Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: They do, indeed, Frank, but I was a bit concerned to see so many skinny cows, wondering if the mountain experience was too severe on them this year?

That was fun to be there at the right time at the right spot, Ginnie. We missed the very early coming down from the mountain, I think this made up for it.
Wonderful picture with it.
Ginnie Hart: We weren't there long but what we saw was totally worth it! Thank you, Astrid, for thinking up this entire day!
All of Austria is in this picture both in the landscape and in the clothes of the people
Ginnie Hart: Indeed so, Marie!!!

I am amused that the farmers really do wear shorts and silly hats. The cows are off for a nice warm winter
Ginnie Hart: How much of this is for the tourists, Chris, I do not know...but you can definitely tell that those lederhosen have been lived in!

I assume that there some sort fo "performance" to this as well as the round-up for winter duding bt the tradition dress. I see the cow is less keen on the idea.
Ginnie Hart: Certainly this annual shindig is also for the tourists, Alan, who love to see what happens in the normal lives of these cows. Not everyone dresses up in the traditional costume, but how fun for us when some do. smile

I guess the local girls like the very short lederhosen and the dimple in the elbow, Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: HA! Leave it to you, Lisl, to see the dimple in the elbow!!! grin

I see these gents are in traditional costume Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, they are, Chad!
How would they have managed a whole herd? grin
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Bill!
Elles sont bien calées à  deux dans ce petit van, elles ne risquent pas de bouger ;-)
Bonne journée Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Now they'll be able to sleep standing up, Pascale, on their ride to the winter pasture.
Ha ha, hier beleef ik die grappige koe-situatie nog een keer.
Ginnie Hart: HAHA. Indeed so, Marjolein. smile
that's cute, the cows will be mooning everyone lol... if only they knew smile
Ginnie Hart: HAHAHA, Elaine. If they only knew, indeed!

een ganse klus om die dieren te vervoeren Ginnie

knappe opnames

have a nice day
Ginnie Hart: Definitely a good day's work, Willy. Bedankt.
Great little video, the cows look a bit skinny though.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Brian, and yes, I wondered about how skinny they looked. Maybe the mountain wasn't kind to them?
I saw a load of cows leaving the farm next door yesterday. Not so European though. smile
Ginnie Hart: HA! Well, at least you saw it, Mary. smile
I love the video. The cow needs some fattening up.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Mary. The cow will hopefully find better pasture in the valley now during the winter months.

Elle va avoir l'occasion de prendre des forces
JP
Ginnie Hart: I hope so, JP!
I like the swiss looking caps. THey all look happy. Friendship
Ginnie Hart: I think they enjoy putting on this show each year for the tourists, Ruthie. smile
i love the video of the stubborn cow Ginnie... i also love Astrid's series of photos...
the tree men don't look that experienced at this sort of work....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: It's fun to watch, Peter, isn't it. I don't know enough about cows and cow-herding to know if these guys were experienced or not...but they definitely know more than I do! smile
I guess that must be very practical wear for the handlers!
Ginnie Hart: I guess so, Tom. They never have to wash the lederhosen!
I have to admit that these German, oops, I mean Austrian lederhosen, even without the braces, are much more hotter than Scottish kilts.

You know, I went to college in Scotland. Guess what I wore on my graduation day. smile
Ginnie Hart: No, I didn't know you went to college in Scotland, LC. I would LOVE to see you in a kilt!!! grin
love the caps! nice capture
Ginnie Hart: More Austrian you cannot get, Ryan. smile Thanks.
I particularly enjoyed the video Ginnie, they certainly know their animals! smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Martin. It was fun to watch this! smile
