What a beautiful fresco on the ceiling and walls!! The church brings in plenty of light to showcase this. Amazing that something that pre-dates the States is still so radiant. Great preservation!
Ginnie Hart: What astounds me more than anything, Steven, is that this church exists in a village of only 1,156 people (2018)!
i would not have thought this is from that period, Ginnie. i see someone is zooming into something interesting on the wall smile
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Ayush. Gotta get Lady P in action! smile

It is all a bit Over The Top [pun].
Ginnie Hart: HA! Great pun, Ray. All this for a village of ca. 1,156 people!

This is a lovely church. The Whites are so pure and the colors are vibrant.
Ginnie Hart: I really like how you said that, Beth...about the whites and the colors! Thank you.
Certainly ornamental Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Indeed so, Frank.
C'est magnifique, j'aime le plafond et la chaire.
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Martine. It's one of those places you stare at!

What a gorgeous Baroque Austrian church interior Ginnie. I remember seeing these.
Ginnie Hart: I love how you can nail the architecture of these places, Chad. Thank you.

Another wonderful painted ceiling, and just look at that pulpit!!
Ginnie Hart: I know, Chris. Places like this still blow my mind. We don't see them in America!!!

This is such a bright and wonderful church, Ginnie. I was quite taken by the ceiling. There is something about Austrian churches.
Ginnie Hart: It still blows my mind, Astrid, especially in a village of only 1,156 people!

a wonderful Baroque church! Astrid is right!
Ginnie Hart: We saw several of these churches, Philine, but this one was my favorite...in a town of only 1,156 people!
Superbe! I love this architecture
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Marie. I do, too!
Wat een prachtig plafond
En is dat Astrid rechts ?
Ginnie Hart: You nailed her, Marjolein, indeed. One day we'll have to meet up in real life. smile
L'intérieur de cette église est très beau.
Bonne journée Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: I just stared at it, Pascale! Merci.

Quels jolis décors !
JP
Ginnie Hart: Indeed so, JP.
you ever notice when churches are shown in movies almost always something bad happens?? lol excepting wedding scenes lol
Ginnie Hart: HA! Depends on the movies you watch, I guess. They're supposed to be sanctuaries, aren't they...but not always so. (sigh)

a gorgeous baroque church Ginnie

have a nice day
Ginnie Hart: It is, indeed, Willy. Bedankt.
Certainly lots to see here.
Ginnie Hart: A resounding YES to that, Mary!
What a magnificent place!!! Friendship
Ginnie Hart: I was in awe, Ruthie!
Wow very decorative, Ginnie! And, I see you caught Astrid smile
Ginnie Hart: Good eye, Martin. smile
The organ is rather unusual.
Two levels?

I used to play electric organ in Malaysia. My old organ had two keyboards. Then was the pedalboard too, it was rather hard to play.

I am rubbish at playing music. Absolutely hopeless. Ha...
Ginnie Hart: Two balconies, actually, LC...one for people and one for the organist. This may be the first of its kind I've seen in Europe? And don't forget the pulpit. My organist mom and my preacher dad would have been flabbergasted by this church!

Ibet you're really NOT rubbish at playing music, though, right?

You found a day with few tourists! This is really lovely!
Ginnie Hart: Actually, we were the only tourists, Bonnie, in this tiny village of only 1,516 people. There was a class of students in the back having some kind of lesson, so we just walked around them and did our thing. smile
Wouah , j'adore ..c'est vraiment superbe !
Merci à  toi Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: For you and all your music, Claudine, of course you'd love this. smile Merci.
