Wow! That's quite a load of passengers! Thankfully they're all well-behaved and not being mischievous. They help add scale to those huge archways.
Ginnie Hart: This is the second time we've visited Verona, Steven, and the second time we've seen rafters on this river. I have a feeling it's a rite of passage for many in the area.
Que de monde sur ces bateaux !
Ginnie Hart: Enough to sink a ship, Martine! smile

quite a group
Ginnie Hart: It was, indeed, Sherri.
Wow - that's quite a meeting! I wish our office held meetings in a boat! smile
Very nice image!!
Ginnie Hart: HA! Maybe we'd all benefit from such meetings, Elizabeth!!!

Much fun being had.
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Ray.
An unusual photo Ginnie, who knows whats going on, it shows the bridges well.
Ginnie Hart: As I've just told Steven above, Frank, this is the second time we've visited Verona and the second time we've seen rafters on this river. I have a feeling it's a rite of passage for many in the area.
In these hot days, seeing canoes and water is good
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Marie. Water rafting on this river must be a real thing because at one point the river is quite swift, just before it turns at this bridge. This is the second time we've seen it.

All ready to shoot the rapids together..
Ginnie Hart: That's really true, Chris. This is the second time we've watched rafters turn the corner off to the right coming into this bridge, and both times they've stopped here to regroup. My sense is that it was quite an adventure up to this point.
Impressionnant tout ce monde , mais surement un bon moment !!
Ginnie Hart: They had just finished a sharp bend into the bridge in very swift water, Claudine, so it was a good place to group together again.

This is a very big boat meeting, indeed - have a great weekend, too- I hope it will not be too hot again- yesterday was a wonderful day!
Ginnie Hart: Yesterday was so cool here, Philine, I had to wear my sweatshirt part of the day. Today will also be nice but tomorrow will be another scorcher, I'm afraid. I hate it for all the people in Paris right now for the women's soccer games.

I love the way you processed this Ginnie. I think this looks like a lot of fun and hard work with the current. Talk about teambuilding smile.
Ginnie Hart: Good word for this, Astrid, "team-building." I totally agree with you. And this is the second time we've seen it, so it must be a rite of passage there in Verona.

They look dwarfed by all that masonry, Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Indeed so, Lisl!
Oh mais il y a bien du monde !
Sympa le traitement.
Bonne journée Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Lots of people having fun, Pascale! It looks like something I'd want to do. smile

I like the sense of scale between the large stone bridge and the people.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Chad. So do I.

In the present high temperatures, messing round on the water sounds like the best place to be.
Ginnie Hart: I totally agree, Alan!
the reason i called this meeting is because we must now paddle like duckies up and down this river! hehe... fun pic
Ginnie Hart: They had just been through the fastest part of the course without crashing into the bridge, Elaine, so I have a feeling they all wanted to know if they could do it again. HA!
Ha ha...
Dank je wel en jullie ook een fijn weekend
Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, Marjolein. smile
It's the Armada!!
Ginnie Hart: HA! Indeed, Bill.

indrukwekkende brug Ginnie

die rafters zijn er wel heel klein bij
have a nice weekend
Ginnie Hart: It's fun to get the scale of things from far away, Willy. Bedankt.

What a place for a meeting. Excellent presentation of this slow strike.
Ginnie Hart: I know you can see us Shutterchancers meeting up like this, Louis, right??!! smile
I didn't see any rafters when I was there though. I did visit that bridge and castle. Maybe it's because it was too cold in winter?

>Richmond in the state of Virginia
Oh yes, I think your Richmond was named after our Richmond.
And the original London Bridge is now somewhere in Arizona (?) if I remember well.
Ginnie Hart: We were there in April both times, LC, so you are probably right about the the weather or time of the year.
The point of view was perfect to capture this gathering of inflatables
Ginnie Hart: Yes, it was, Martin. We first saw them rafting towards the bridge while we were on the bridge and then looked back on them after we walked away from the bridge. It was fun to see.
I wonder if it turns to a raging river that they have to get through - like in British Columbia.
Ginnie Hart: I think it was a raging river to the rights (out of sight), Mary, before they got to this point. There's a curve in the river before this bridge (to the right) and they all had to try to avoid the bridge before they got to this point.
I knew where this is without even reading the title, I didn't see any rafters while we were there, I wonder if my daughter did this week if she visited there?
Ginnie Hart: We were there in April both times when we saw the rafters, Brian, so I would assume there were there this week? Fun to see.
Oh how fun this looks! Friendship
Ginnie Hart: Indeed so, Ruthie. Thanks.
Discounting the modern rafts, Ginnie, this image has an almost biblical look to it.
Ginnie Hart: Hmmm. Most interesting, Beverly. I'm going to contemplate that one!
that must have been a great race to watch Ginnie... good scale to the arches....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Peter. They were having a blast!
Looks as though they are going to have fun!
Ginnie Hart: Actually, Tom, they've just been through the worst of it and have all made it safely to shore. I wonder now what comes next?!

I wonder what they did next...
Ginnie Hart: Exactly. I wonder if they all asked if they could do it all over again?!
i love those massive arches, Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: I know, Ayush. They're park of the Castelvecchio Bridge.
