Que c'est beau, j'aime les toits en pierres.
Ginnie Hart: Those roofs are what make this place so special, Martine...a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Such a cozy interior courtyard! Great find! The rain here is inundating our yards and rivers.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks,Steven. We've been hearing about all the storms in America these past days and weeks, including a record number of tornadoes...and floods. Please stay safe.
Oh this is so beautiful! What a great comp, and I just love the flowers, the light, and the wet pavement!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elizabeth. Even in the rain this place was enthralling.

Ginnie Hart: Those roofs are what have made them a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Chad. They really ARE amazing.

You were so lucky to walk into this scene, Ginnie. People made a great effort to make this look a cozy corner. I love the roofs.
Ginnie Hart: Ihate thatyou weren't able to see this place with your own eyes,Astrid (even though I KNOW you needed the Me Time away from the group). So glad you can see what I saw through photos like this.

A strange miniaturised world..
Ginnie Hart: You can say that again, Chris. You would love seeing it with your own eyes.
I don't know this Italian village at all, but I love these little round houses. It's lovely, isn't it?
Ginnie Hart: I didn't know about it either, Marie, even though it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's totally worth visiting.
I don't know if you saw my show yesterday. I think you might like....
Ginnie Hart: Oh, THANK YOU, Marie. I have just left a comment.

Ginnie Hart: You would love it, Claudine. Merci.

What fascinating buildings. I especially like the roofs.
Ginnie Hart: The roofs are what make this a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Alan. You would love the place.

BTW, WELCOME BACK!
oh gosh, that is soooo pretty!! yes, it's rainy where i live, but rain never looked sooo good
Ginnie Hart: Nothing rains on my parade...lalala. Thanks, Elaine.
Oh, wat een mooie en bloemrijke sfeerfoto, ondanks de regen.
Fijn weekend
Ginnie Hart: April showers! Oh, yes, Marjolein. Totally necessary! Bedankt.
This is such a nice photo Ginnie, I think the rain only adds to it.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, sir.
The roofs are so unique, Ginnie. I’ve never seen anything like them before.
Ginnie Hart: I had never heard of this place prior to our trip, Mary, so I really got my education from yet another UNESCO site.
I really like this Ginnie, I gather from your blog Astrid took a day off but no doubt you bought her up-to-date on this fascinating place with your pictures.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Brian, you are correct. She had a much-needed ME day and had her own walk around the harbor near our hotel. It was a win-win for us both.
What charming buildings these are, Ginnie. I can just imagine elves living here. So pleased they are being protected.
Ginnie Hart: I totally agree, Beverly. I'll never forget them.

Conical stone corbelled roofs on white houses along a narrow street - that makes for a great picture. We are entering our winter season - so, no rain.
Ginnie Hart: I should think this would make a great setting for a movie, Louis, though I'm not quite sure of the story line yet. HA! So, winter means no rain for you? (sigh)

i've seen these homes on HGTV : - )
Ginnie Hart: You'd be thrilled to see it in real life, Sherri!
I didn't get the chance to see this place while I was in Matera few years ago.
So close yet so far, indeed!

Did you see Matera?
Ginnie Hart: You would have loved Alberobello, LC. Would I have loved Matera, because, no, we did not see it?
