photoblog image It's Monday

It's Monday

We've alighted back home after a fabulous vacation in America (both Maine and Georgia).

(taken on a walk in England last year, September, 2018)

Magnifique papillon, on voit bien les détails.
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Martine. I was happy my little camera picked it up from so far away.

Fuzzy fuzzy was a.....moth? Exceptionally sharp! I like the orange/green complementary colors here.
Ginnie Hart: I have a feeling it's a butterfly, Bonnie, but I'm not sure. Maybe Lisl knows? Thank you.
Gorgeous image, Ginnie!! Glad you're home safe!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly on both accounts, Elizabeth. It's always good to come back home!
Great macro Ginnie, what detail !
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Frank. I was glad for how it came out from so far away.

What a fabulous butterfly and so to see it had a perfect vacation and landing, like we did......
Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, Astrid. I still remember it as though it were yesterday, while on our walk with Lisl last year!
You're making a great comeback with this pretty butterfly.
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Marie. I think you were the one who recently put up a similar butterfly, which is why I think this is not a moth?!

Unusual for you to post insects, Ginnie, but as you can guess I am pleased you have
Ginnie Hart: We were with you this day, Lisl, so I must have been channeling YOU! smile Thank you. Do I assume correctly that this is a butterfly and NOT a moth?

Splendid clarity, color and light captured in this shot!! Glad you had a great time in America. Hopefully you didn't encounter any snow in Maine. We were snowed out on Halloween. smile
Ginnie Hart: No snow in Maine while we were there, Steven, but we did have a Nor'easter that uprooted several trees in the area. Most of it happened during the night so we missed seeing/feeling it. Snow would have been something else!
did you get a new camera? i love this shot.. macros steal me away to a different world, tho i never take them myself... beautiful picture! xox
Ginnie Hart: I did get my new camera, Elaine, but this is an image from last year. It wasn't even a macro (at 1531 mm) but I was pleased by how it ended up looking like one!
Welcome back!
Did you enjoy your chowder in ME?
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, LC, and you betcha! Homemade clam chowder!
Glad you had a great holiday Ginnie, excellent picture to return with.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir!
Welcome home! Maine - you were almost here! Very nice photo with perfect composition.
Ginnie Hart: Thnk you, Mary. You could say we were in your backyard! HA.
>Built by the British, LC??? That surprised me. I’d love to know the back story.
