Self-Portrait

NO, this is NOT part of the Niki de Saint Phalle series from yesterday.

YES, this IS my self-portrait for the theme...a day late and a dollar short.  So now you know, you inquiring minds!  Better late than never.

Have a great weekend!

Cool! portrait. Who is the subject of this pose? You or the flowers? A Photpographer and her subject. Reminds me of a Dutch painting Where there is a mirror in the background which reflects the scene being painetd. Van Meer I think but can't recall.

Good to meet you.

John
Ginnie Hart: Awww. Thanks, John. That is quite the compliment. smile

Hi friend ginnie!!! I am so glad you posted a photo! You look like a good woman, and kind.. which is probibly why i like you. I like the colours. The photo you sent me has a beautiful smile! Thanks for being brave too... Take care.. ~S.
Ginnie Hart: You are so sweet, Sorcha! The pic I sent you would have been better here, perhaps, because of the smile, but the resolution was too low, as I said. I certainly want to believe that I am a good and kind woman, and simply would not want to live otherwise.

You know, almost all of us "complain" about our own pics. We're so critical of them and DO feel brave if ever we show them. But I was thinking how silly that is of us because that photo is not really me; I am not that photo. We are so much more than these static captures. However, they DO give us an inkling, which is why I've enjoyed seeing you and the others. smile Thank you.
Nice one!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Josie. Next time I'll pay more attention. smile

Beautiful portrait. I love yellow!!! I don't understand why it's so unpopular among actors? smile
Ginnie Hart: It's funny, El Dani, but that marigold color goes throughout our house. We were told it's one of the colors that enhances whatever other colors go with it. We have found that to be true. Thanks for commenting!

Hi Ginnie - this is actually a nice photo, including yourself - like a double whammy. I tried to upload something of myself yesterday, but had size issues with shutter - but doing it late is probably not a sin.
Ginnie Hart: Awww, shucks. Thanks, Louis. Doing it late was definitely my problem because I wasn't paying attention to the front page. But if you don't care, neither do I. smile
Hi Ginnie,

Nice to meet you - Have a great Week end too !!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks Zeb. I'll have to check to see if you self-portraited yourself as well. You, too, have a great weekend.

Oooh, my captivating sister. Everything in the photo is lovely.
Ginnie Hart: That's what sisters are for! Thanks, Ruth.
Mirror, mirror on the wall...... Now at least I know one of my fan club by sight!! Lovely picture and great inclusion of other subject matter. Nice bathroom!!Love the colours and as usual, a technically very good pic. Regards, Neil.
Ginnie Hart: HA HA, Neil. Mirror, mirrir on the wall, indeed! I should have thought of that first. smile

Yes, now you know me by sight, so it's your turn to return the favor. As you see, who cares if it's past due?! Just do it!
Has Neil got a fan club? Is Suby in it? Perhaps not..
Hi Ginnie, a pleasure to meet you. I think we have exchanged comments on a few occasions, so itis delightful to see you at last. I had another person in mind, actually, a little more Lucille Ball or Doris Day, but the real thing is always better!
Ginnie Hart: HA, about Neil's fan club. No more comment on that.

And HA on shattering anyone's image of me. It's so easy to create people the way they come through to us by their photos and comments. Then when we actually see them, we're brought down to earth, aren't we! I think that probably IS always better.

Thanks for stopping by!!
