looks like a quiet, fun time.. very nice capture..
Ginnie Hart: This actually wasn't us, Rian...in fact, this was before Christmas back on 10 December when we were in Düsseldorf, Germany. But it seemed appropriate. Thanks.
I love how you placed the candle - it's lovely!
Ginnie Hart: As I just told Rian, this actually wasn't our table, Elizabeth...in fact, this was before Christmas back on 10 December when we were in Düsseldorf, Germany. But it seemed appropriate. Thanks.

The green captured here is very striking
Ginnie Hart: This was at a café in Düsseldorf in early December so in some ways it looks more Christmasy, doesn't it! Thank you, Elisabeth.

smile This scene could tell a story of its own. Beautiful picture.
....and yes we survived the start if 2012.
Happy New Year and here's to many many more beautiful pictures.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, MLMA. I LOVE starting the new year with YOU. We are so lucky, aren't we!!!

Beautiful lighting in this, Ginnie. I lie the way the candle is distoted by some of the glasses and reflected by others.

I always breath a sigh of relief that the mania of Christmas and the New Year is over for another year. Mind you, it also makes me think that my present holiday is about to come to an end; only two more days and STILL no sun; it;s rained every day so far!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you for your kind words, Alan. It's raining here in the Netherlands, too, so it's not just there. If it were cold enough, I'm sure it'd be snowing. Maybe one of these days before spring?? I sure do hope so.

In the meantime, enjoy your time away in spite of the rain. Let it all wash over you like a refreshing drink. Happy New Year.
another one of your great stills..!
Ginnie Hart: You're very gracious, Juan Carlos. Thank you.

It's all over now Ginnie: time to get on with life
Ginnie Hart: (sigh)...as Astrid prepares to go off to work! I'll do the dishes. smile
j'aime bien ce vert qui se dégage dans l'or du verre
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, l'Angevine. Merci.
Yes, we did, and we keep living it!
Ginnie Hart: One step, one day at a time! Here's to 2012. Bedankt, Chantal.

What gorgeous color and light in this! I can almost feel that
'day-after' feel!! And - here's to a whole new year!! xo-
Ginnie Hart: Even though this wasn't "our table" or event, Marcie, when I took it in early December, I thought of New Year's Eve. Thnak you. And yes, a whole new year. It's quite exhilarating. smile
There will be a few fragile heads even todaygrin

Fine picture Ginnie and a Happy 2012 to you too
Ginnie Hart: A few fragile heads, yes, I'm sure, Bill. I'm just glad mine isn't one of them. Speaking of which, I sure hope YOU and yours are feeling better after your rough weekend! Happy New Year.

When I heard the neighbours etc shouting at 24:00 I thought they sounded mighty relieved to be out of 2011. As if they know what 2012 will hold in store ...

A great shot and may you two also live and love right through 2012 into the next decade!
Ginnie Hart: I know what you mean, Louis. In fact, after 1 a.m. we had to go to our neighbor to ask him to please turn his music down. He was "using" and had no clue the fireworks had stopped!

Anyway, thanks...and a Happy New Year to us all.
My day after was surprising and great. Happy New Year in writing!
Ginnie Hart: You were wonderfully surprised, Mary, and I think that's a great way to start 2012! smile Thanks.
Superb photo and I like the green. Excellent work Ginne. Have a lovely day Ginnie. Amicably Antoine.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir. Merci.

The tones remind me of 'The absythe drinkers'. I have probably spelt that incorrectly Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: HA! Regardless of how it's spelled, I do get your drift, Chad. Thankfully, then, I can tell you this wasn't our table. grin
Fine shot, Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Tom. To be honest, it was the only thing I could come up with. grin
Beautiful photo!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Victoria.
The day after or 'Still life 2012' Good capture Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Either or, I guess, John. smile Thanks.

I can feel the warmth and smell the aromas in this cosy atmosphere, the colours are scrumptious, beautiful Ginnie smile
Ginnie Hart: And it wasn't even our table, Linda! smile But I felt that same coziness, which caught my eye. Thank you!

A lovely calming scene.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Cherry. It looked very cozy to me, even though it wasn't our table and wasn't New Year's Eve. smile
A very nice tabletop celebration theme Ginnie, yes we have all got into 2012, let's hope it brings lots of good things for all of us.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Brian, and exactly! Happy New Year again.

oooh, it is a tough morning, need more coffee. LOL Happy new year!
Ginnie Hart: HA! I have a feeling it's a tough morning for many people today, Rob, especially those, like Astrid, who had to go back to work. (sigh) Happy New Year nonetheless.
I really love glass and reflections Ginnie so this is just the ticket to welcome the new year in. Fabulous image and happy new year to you too
Ginnie Hart: You're a sweetheart, Janet. Thank you.
And we will live to see many more Ginnie... so long as they don't run out of spare partsgrin ....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: HA! YAY for spare parts, Peter. Sounds like you're doing just fine, if you can make a joke about it. smile
Happy New Year, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: And the same to you, dear Michael!
Lovely picture Ginnie.
Happy new year to you!
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Richard, and the same to you.
Love the scene! Such a great pic. I must laugh at the day after and lived to see the new year.. I feel like it's a saying just as we lived to see the year 2000... This year it just seems to flow for me..
Ginnie Hart: 2000 was something else, Jen, wasn't it. I think the whole internet world was fearing a sudden collapse with Y2K, but we did indeed live through it (I worked for a computer company and really knew all about the fears!). Nowadays it's a cinch! HA! I'm glad it's flowing for you. smile

Ha ha...
Should I say "Thank God!" or "Oh my God!"? wink
Ginnie Hart: Either or...we're here, it's here, and we're on our way, ready or not. smile
Happy New Year Ginnie! I love the gold tones mingled with the greens.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you and thank you, dear Frances.

Is it a case of the hair of the dog? Always works for me anyway (temporarily!) Lovely lighting and mood here.
Ginnie Hart: Maybe I'm not awake yet, Ingrid, but I have no idea what the "case of the hair of the dog" is but I'll take your word for it. Thank you.
You have a wonderful eye for light and colour, Ginnie. This just exudes warmth and comfort.
Ginnie Hart: You're very kind, Beverly. It did feel cozy to me. Thank you.

wonderful shot, love the light.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
Here's to many more new years, enjoyed in good health and warm company!
Ginnie Hart: Absolutely, Doug. I'll drink to that! smile Thanks.
It's very, very unusual to see that "yellow-green" glow of vaseline glass captured without the aid of a blacklight. Beautifully done.

I was caught by the packages of "Ines Rosales" in the background - I wondered if some Tex-Mex marketer had made inroads in your world. But, no - they're Andalusian, which explains the language. They look quite good, too! Have you had them?
Ginnie Hart: You're very kind, Linda. Thank you. I also thought Tex-Mex but this was a café in Düseeldorf, Germany, so Andalusian makes much more sense. It's a small world after all, isn't it.
