Like a Bridge Over Moated Waters

Here's one last image from the Burg Hülshoff castle in Münsterland, Germany.

May we all find bridges to connect to each other this holiday season.

Have a great weekend.

I've always been fascinated with moats. Wouldn't want one though. I can imagine heads floating to the surface if I think about it...

Sorry for that graphic....

Your photograph is stunning and the golden hues are just gorgeous.
Ginnie Hart: I know what you mean about moats, Sherri! We've seen too many movies, I think. Thank you anyway. smile

Love the light on the castle and yes may we all find bridges to connect.
Beautiful picture, love the composition and the POV.
LOL @ Sherri, I always try to picturit how it was with knights and horses and things, like the Middle Ages.... grin
I am looking forward to the weekend, going to do some fun things.....what??.....don't tell until Monday wink
Ginnie Hart: So much of Europe reminds me of the Middle Ages, to be honest, MLMA. We'd never see sromething like this in the States, as you know. TGIF. Thank God you can ride the train to work in this inclement weather. Doe voorzichtig on the ice. We have a lot to look forward to this weekend!

Oh, Ginnie, you are able to give 'thing', also this castle a poeticaller look than it has still in reality- wonderful and dreamy! - now all, really all has been covered with thick, thick snow - and the castle and the gardens around it might look like winter wonderland, the moat might be frozen - we should go out & about by car to visit it! Een fijne weekeind toegewenst, ook voor de hard werkende Astrid!
Ginnie Hart: I have wondered what this might look like now, Philine, with the snow. A winter wonderland, indeed. We'd need winter tires for that trip to you now...maybe one day. We are so much looking forward to this weekend. Astrid needs the break because her brain is having to concentrate 100% every day at work. She comes home fried! But it sure makes the days fly for her. Harstikke bedankt, Philine!
I keep on repeating myself, but you don't have to blush! :p

Cropping the photo was a clever thing to do.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Pekka. smile

That is a lovely sentiment to go along with this photo. Enjoy your weekend!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you most kindly, Rob.
It is only just over a week to Christmas day!

Lovely picture Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Bill, it is. We will celebrate our Christmas tomorrow evening with Astrid's son and girlfriend, so it will feel earlier than normal. Christmas day will be quiet for us and hopefully a time for Astrid to get much-needed rest after a busy week of overtime. Thanks.

I did a simular angle a few years back with a castle here in Breda Holland, Bouvigne, I love this photo Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Chantal. The thing is, Münsterland is so geographically close to us here in Holland. It still amazes me.
what a wonderful contrast in this one Ginnie, is splendid also in light
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Fabrizio. We were there for several hours and walked all around the castle, getting it in different light situations. Grazie.

If a lived in splendour in the house on the left, I will keep the bridge open so that you can come and connect. Schnitzel mit spätzle und sahne sauce.
Ginnie Hart: It's a deal, Louis. I would love that. grin Thanks.
I like the way the stark straight lines and edges in the architecture contrast against the freeform foliage.
Ginnie Hart: I do, too, JP. Thank you kindly.

You've certainly got a knack for bringing out the life in any scene.

Now if it's a bridge over moated waters, will I float me down instead? ;D
Ginnie Hart: You're very kind, Jess, and LOL on 'float me down.' So fun.
I love this colour tone so much.
So calm like the water.
It's also very warm!
Great job, Ginnie! smile
