That's About the Size of It

This is a short series of my impressions of the Grand Canyon in our state of Arizona, visited on December 1st.
It's 277 miles (446 km) long, 4 to 18 miles (6.4 to 29 km) wide and over a mile (6000 feet/1.83 km) deep.

This reminds me of the Sesame Street song from years ago:

Oh, everything comes in its own special size
Guess it can be measured by where you put your eyes
It's so big when you're close, it looks smaller back a bit
And that's about the size of it.

That's about the size, where you put your eyes
That's about the size of it.

Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir. smile
This is classic but still breathtaking view, you did it very well, sharp details and quite plastic light...
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Miro. It was hard not to do a "been there, done that" picture!

Again....can take hours just to look at your picture because it's so hard to understand what I see.....Incredible shot and setting again.
Ginnie Hart: The Grand Canyon does this to you, Ilger. You stand there and can hardly grasp what you're seeing. Thank you.
