A cute cafe with that chalkboard! I always love seeing people's creativity on boards.
Ginnie Hart: I agree, Steven. Good timing for this right now!
It looks a nice place Ginnie , yes, lets not forget !
Ginnie Hart: Indeed, Frank.

I enjoy my life, but have no desire to eat it, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: You've reminded me of something I often said throughout my life, Ray, that I usually eat to live and not the other way around. I never quite understood people who spent so much of their income on eating. As I've gotten older, especially here in Europe, I've learned to enjoy food (and drink) more. Sometimes life IS meant to be eaten, as part of the "koinonia" experience.
I love your shot- I really like images of cafe's when they've been careful thought out. How I'd love to relax in a place like this...
Ginnie Hart: We were the only ones inside this café that day, Elizabeth, and therefore felt safe. I sat at a table across from this and fell in love with it. Thanks.
J'aime beaucoup la présentation du café.
Ginnie Hart: I do, too, Martine. It's well done.

I cannot forget the sentiment Ginnie: Life is good, if you make it so. The same with coffee..
Ginnie Hart: We're totally on the same page, Chris. Even in the midst of "trial and tribulation" there is always a way to find Joy. And as a btw, I never experienced latte macchiatos until Europe and have them only in cafes or with friends who know how to make them. I'm in heaven whenever I am fortunate enough to enjoy the experience. smile

This is a delightful place where we had the Latte Macchiato. It felt like the living room at home. And yes, we should not forget how to enjoy life, even if it is sharing a cup of coffee together. I like your picture a lot.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Astrid. These times when we stop for latte macchiatos are some of my happiest experiences ever. So simple and fulfilling!
What a lovely little corner to enjoy a cup of coffee, without milk for me because I don't like it and tight and strong, Italian style. LOL! Good day Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: HAHA, Marie. So many choices for all of us. Astrid and I are both latte macchiato lovers. smile

Such a variety of Coffee - why not the Dutch word koffie - but we arfe in Nederland as I read and see -je kan zien wat het is en mooi en gezellig sfertje!
Ginnie Hart: I know, Philine, though there is a "koffie verkeerd" on the bottom row. It was a delightful setting for a nice latte macchiato.

Pour moi, ce sera un café noir
JP
Ginnie Hart: Plenty there to enjoy, JP! smile
Do they do tea?
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Bill. In fact, I need to go back to take a photo of their teapot collection!

It all looks so complicated Ginnie. I use like black coffee. This looks a comfortable place to enjoy your coffee.
Ginnie Hart: When we're out-n-about, Chad, we almost always stop somewhere for a latte macchiato, which is a real treat for us. It would have been special to have shared it with you and your own choice of the day!

Its all about when you add the coffee and when the milk. My wife always order a latte (koffie verkeerd) and the first thing she does, is to stir everything...
Ginnie Hart: I love he entire experience of a latte, Louis...first seeing it separated into its distinct sections and then, YES, getting to stir it altogether. Your wife and I are on the same page! smile We have a restaurant nearby that brings the milk and the koffie separately, where YOU get to pour the koffie in yourself. Now THAT'S fun!

dat hebben ze mooi gedaan Ginnie

en een kopje koffie sla ik zelden af

have a nice day
Ginnie Hart: Yes, indeed, Willy. Every time Astrid and I visit a town/city, we first treat ourselves to a nice latte macchiato! smile
A very true thought there. Our local cafes are now open so we have been able to enjoy a drink a few times when they are not too crowded.
Ginnie Hart: Indeed, Brian. It's good to have some semblance or "normalcy" right now.
How inviting this looks. Friendship
Ginnie Hart: Inviting enough for a nice latte macchiato!
a great place to have a coffee... it makes you feel like home... wonderful chalk work...

life is still good....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Feeling "like home" right now is very important, Peter. Thanks.

One thing I missed during the lockdown was the ability to stop in a coffee and get a coffee in a proper cup and not have to make do with something out of machine in a garage served in a cardboard cup. In some places, I can now sit in side but most are still doing coffee in cardboard cups. Outrageous!
Ginnie Hart: I know what you mean, Alan! We were the only ones who drank our koffie inside (usually we're on the terrace, too), where we actually felt safe. It was very nice.

i love their style
Ginnie Hart: I do, too, Sherri. When "koffie" is a world unto itself! smile
A delightful shot of that beautiful sign.
I do have my down days when I feel like crap but most of the time I certainly enjoy life life beyond belief.
Ginnie Hart: Of all people, Michael, I totally believe every word you have just said. I'm so glad you are able to still enjoy life!
Un lieu rassurant sans doute , j'aime beaucoup sa décoration
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Claudine, and I do, too.
what a nice image
For coffee, the mine is with one sugar and a little bit milk
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Yoshimi. For me, if it's not a latte macchiato or a cappuccino, it's only with a bit of milk, no sugar.
