It's Monday

Don't be a push-over!  :)

(Astrid doing the obligatory push at the leaning tower of Pisa, Italy.)

Thank you for making me laugh.
Ginnie Hart: You're welcome, Andy! grin
It has to be done....smile
Ginnie Hart: So it seemed, Frank. Everyone was doing it. smile

A cute capture that everyone does some form of with the Tower! I like the B&W version better.
Ginnie Hart: I tried several different ways with Astrid, Steven, but this was the one I ended up liking the best. You have no idea how hard it was to get it right!
Terrific - both of them!! You two executed this perfectly!
Ginnie Hart: Most kind of you, Elizabeth. But I had no idea how hard it would be! This was the best attempt I could come up with after many tries.
Maintenant, on sait pourquoi la tour ne tombe pas.
Ginnie Hart: HAHAHA. Good one, Martine.

really funny despite the rain - I prefer the colourful image although the b&w one might be more appropriate.
Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, Philine. Even in the rain we'll never forget it (my second time there).

smile.... I hope the tower is still standing, Ginnie. Remember the "Azure Window" at Malta collapsed after we were there, I don't want to have it on my conscious that the tower will fall a few years after we visited wink...
I like the B&W, the white umbrella realy sticks out.
Ginnie Hart: It teally does make you wonder how this building can still be standing like that after all these years, Astrid, especially knowing visitors are inside it every day. I feel lucky that I have now seen it twice...and it's still standing. smile

A ritual that has to be done Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Based on what I have now seen in two visits, Chris, apparently so! I had to do my duty. smile
Good idea the finger trying to straighten up the tower of Pisa.
Ginnie Hart: Indeed, Marie. I'm sure it would have fallen by now if all the tourists hadn't done their part over the years! smile

Aaahh.. I was waiting for something like this. Well, I suppose it just has to be done.
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Alan. smile
Un acte plein de compassion de soutenir la Tour de Pise ;-)
Bonne journée Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: HA! That's probably why it's still standing after all these years, Pascale. smile
Hahahaha yes it has to be done

colour or B&W doesn't really matter
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.

Ha ha that looks great Ginnie, and so much better than the usual full body shots of someone holding up the tower. Black and white looks great too.
Ginnie Hart: I actually have several attempts that weren't satisfactory to me, Chad, so I ended up having Astrid just do this. grin
lol these pictures are so cool... reminds me of 'the finger of God' in the movie 'Twister' smile
Ginnie Hart: HA! Well, it's fun to think one has so much "power," right, Elaine?

zo kan het dus ook Ginnie

leuke opnames , met een lichte voorkeur voor de kleuren opname

have a nice day
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Willy. I always like when someone gives their preference, no matter how slight. smile

Bedankt.
I like the colour version of this iconic picture.
Ginnie Hart: It's always nice to have choices, Mary, isn't it. smile Thanks.
I know it's been done millions of times before but is still a very amusing picture, shame about the weather, at least not everybody gets an umbrella in their shots smile
Ginnie Hart: No matter how "old" we are, Brian, we all have to try the tricks, right?! smile

B&w is working very well for me. So Astrid got her hand wet, working like that...
Ginnie Hart: HAHA about Astrid's hand getting wet, Louis. She was actually with me under shelter while taking this shot. smile
THis made me smile! Have a great day
Ginnie Hart: Anything for a smile, Ruthie, right? smile Thanks.
Everyone is very happy about that finger - better keep it there!
Ginnie Hart: It's a wonder of the world, Tom, that the Leaning Tower is still standing!
Your perseverance paid off, Ginnie. Love it!
Ginnie Hart: HA! Thank you kindly, Beverly. It took several attempts, trust me!
i like them images both Ginnie... you didn't have a very nice day to visit the Field of Miracles...

when we were there it was a beautiful day... instead of having Penny try to push the tower up i framed it vertical and it looks like it was built on the side of a hill covered with grass....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: HA! You'll have to show us YOUR image, Peter.
He he... Tell me you didn't do that! It's a very touristy thing to do in Pisa.

While I was there, my Italian actually requested me not to do anything like that.
But you know, old habits die hard, of course I didn't listen to him.
Who knows when I get to visit Pisa again, right? wink

Now, would you recommend me to eat herring the proper Dutch way if I visit you, G? You've gotta show me how to do it first though.
Ginnie Hart: I didn't do it the first time I was there, LC, but this time with Astrid, I couldn't resist. HA! Now herring...and Astrid. She will gladly show you anything and everything Dutch you want to know. Just let us know when you're coming??
well you cannot really say you visited Pisa, Ginnie, unless you did THAT!
Ginnie Hart: That's my story, Ayush, and I'm sticking to it. smile

Great shot! The umbrella adds something interesting!
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Anne. It was hard to avoid the umbrellas that day!
