Beautiful contrasts and textures in this B&W composition! And the selective coloring really pops!!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Steven.
Nothin' but sun and 78 degrees in Flagstaff! smile
I love how you've processed this - choosing to leave color in the clothing only!
Ginnie Hart: You know me and selective coloring, Elizabeth. HA! Not everyone likes it so thanks! Enjoy your beautiful weather there in Flagstaff.
Jolie photo, j'aime les personnes et les parapluies en couleurs.
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Martine. Sometimes we have to show that nothing rains on our parade!

Your selective colour works well here Ginnie. I'm not always a fan but this is good..
Ginnie Hart: Most kind of you, Chris. I know that it's not for everyone...nor is it always something for me, but sometimes I can't resist. HA!
Nice work of partial desaturation. I don't know how to do it.
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Marie. I think I have mentioned before that if you have the right tools, it's really very easy, if you have the patience for it.
Good girl ..... 😀
Ginnie Hart: Ummmmmm, a good girl for what, Richard...doing the selective coloring? smile
Jolie prise de vue , le contraste donné est très reussi !
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Claudine!
Selective colour well used Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.

I'malmready missing my bike rides; no idea when I feel able to get back on it. I meet up with my cycling chums, though, for tea and cake. I like your choice of colour for the people.
Ginnie Hart: One day, like Ray, you will be in/on the saddle again, Alan, maybe even sooner than you think! In the meantime, enjoy your tea and cake with your friends.
oooh THIS selective colouring is particularly beautiful... the umbrellas! love love it!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Elaine. It's fun, isn't it!
Wat een mooie bewerking met de gekleurde parapluies
Je doel is bereikt, veilig onder de vrolijke regenschermen.
Ginnie Hart: This was a time when I was delighted the umbrellas were bright colors, Marjolein! Bedankt.
Superbe cette composition en désaturation partielle, beau travail Ginnie.
Bonne journée
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Pascale!!

Jolis points colorés
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Anne!
Should have selected orange colour to make this more Dutch. wink

I mean, bikes, rain and orange etc, what else do you need to make it Dutch.

Oh yes, we just need you in klompen to complete the picture.
Ginnie Hart: HA! Well, LC, I would have been extra delighted if there HAD been orange AND klompen to "select," but alas, not in Alberobello, Italy!
No no Ginnie...for holding the fort for Bike Friday.
Ginnie Hart: Ahhh. OK then, Richard. smile Thanks.
Superb use of selective color. I like how you composed this view. Friendship
Ginnie Hart: Many thanks, Ruthie.

Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Sherri.
Clever bit of colour popping.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.

The conversion you have done here, is indeed popping with colour (where you left it coloured). Lots of original white of these house walls, make the b&w part striking.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Louis. It's like a whitewashed little village, even in the shop area.

This is a beautiful picture, Ginnie and I so love the selective colouring. This is the "fun" part of rain......
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Astrid. Umbrellas make rain seem extra glorious, don't they! smile
