What a great reflection shot!! I love your composition!
Ginnie Hart: As your hubby said, Elizabeth, it's the iconic shot of what's considered Scotland's most romantic castle. Thanks.
The iconic shot of this lovely castle Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: More iconic you cannot get, Frank! I was glad for a beautiful day.
C'est magnifique avec tous ces reflets.
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Martine.
I photographed Eilean donen castle several times. In addition to being a beautiful castle whose exterior is a bit austere, its environment around the loch Alsh and loch Long is beautiful. Memories .... I had to go to Scotland a good dozen times
Ginnie Hart: I've been only once, Marie, and feel lucky that it was on a sunny day like this! Merci.

What a wonderful and charming place Ginnie. I don't usually associate you with Scotland
Ginnie Hart: Way back before either one of us knew we existed, Chris...back in my past life. I would love to go back one day with Astrid!

What a charming view this is, Ginnie. That bridge, the view, the mountain, everything looks so wonderful. Lucky you to have seen this on that glorious day.
Ginnie Hart: I'll never forget it, Astrid. Kinda like a fairy tale. Bedankt.

Just gorgeous, Ginnie - so sharp
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Lisl. I have to pinch myself now to realize I saw this with my own eyes.
Rho que c'est beau !!!
Magnifique endroit ..merci
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Claudine. It's easy to see why so many films choose this romantic place.
It used to be nicknamed Kodak castle
Ginnie Hart: That doesn't surprise me at all, Bill!

I can imagine kids calling here in the evening and asking if Eileen is in. “She said we could call formher after school”. An iconic image Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: HA! That's a good one, Chad. smile

JP
Ginnie Hart: It really is, JP. Merci.
What a wonderful image.
Real good castle-atmosphere with reflection.
I think that I come back on fryday
Ginnie Hart: My understanding, Marjolein, is that it's considered Scotland's most romantic castle. You can see why. smile

Ah, now this is a surprise. I didn't know that you had been to Scotland. I've seen this for myself several times but never under clear blue skies. A lovely view.
Ginnie Hart: I WAS there in my past life (without Astrid), Alan, and will never forget it. We even were at the spot where I could get a pic of the Skye bridge! smile I guess I'm really lucky I was there on such a gorgeous day!
Très jolie photo Ginnie et les reflets sont très réussis.
Bonne journée
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Pascale. Even though that was 14 years ago, I'll never forget it.

a famous castle I would like to see one day - a wonderful image with all the reflections - it could make my dayx!
Ginnie Hart: You will love it, Philine, if you ever get the chance to see it!
i bet this location would fit in nicely for a medieval themed movie, Ginnie. wonderful shot especially with those reflections.
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Ayush. I just Googled and see that it's been in 19 movies: https://www.imdb.com/search/title?locations=Eilean%20Donan%20Castle,%20Kyle%20of%20Lochalsh,%20Highland,%20Scotland,%20UK

Is there a whisky distillery up there? If not, there should be. Great shot again.
Ginnie Hart: I have no clue whatsoever, Louis! But...thanks!

Breath taking, Ginnie! Look how blue and clear the day was ... would love to visit one day
Ginnie Hart: I realize now how lucky I was to have such a beautiful day, Emily. You would love the place!
woah!!! that is BEAUTIFUL.... i thought it looked like scotland, even before i read... coz of watching 'Outlander' lol
Ginnie Hart: Of course you'd recognize it, Elaine, because it is/was, indeed, in Outlander (which I haven't seen yet). Thanks.
That's not something you see every day! Love it.
Ginnie Hart: No you don't, Mary! Thanks.
We went on a Scotland coaching holiday in 2003 and as we were near this famous castle, which I'd always wanted to visit, the coach driver pulled in. Trouble is a) it was pouring with rain, b) I was the only person to get off the coach and c) the driver wanted to move on after no more than 3 minutes so I only got 3 very quick shots in the rain, I am quite envious of you.
Ginnie Hart: From other comments, Brian, I realize now how very lucky I was that day! Thanks for sharing. At least you got to see it with your own eyes! We were even able to enter it.

oh, wow, this is stunning
Ginnie Hart: It really is, Sherri. You can see what it's a favorite for so many films!
They really knew what they were doing when they built this magnificent castle in such a gorgeous setting. You've captured it in all its glory, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Beverly. And yes. But I wonder if they knew all the movies that would be filmed there??!!
