That sailor has a tail wind, Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: It sure appears so, Ray!
I can'r believe there is less than a week to go!

This is a charming decoration
Ginnie Hart: I know, Bill. Has any other year flown by as quickly??? Thanks.
That is a beautiful artefact from the past.
Ginnie Hart: It really is, Michael. I just wish I knew it's age (the database usually tells but this time not).

Full sail ahead.....
This is a wonderful design and gable stone, very simple but beautiful.
Too bad there is no date to be found http://www.gevelstenen.net/kerninventarisatie/plaatsenNed/Veere.htm
Ginnie Hart: I love these gable stones, MLMA, as you well know by now. I just told Michael that I wished I knew its age but the database doesn't say. You must have read my mind! smile
Such a cute little boat Friday!! Can't believe Christmas is here!!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Robin, and I know!! I'm so glad you've made it back safe-n-sound. You have LOTS to share, I know. Which home will you be at over Christmas, I wonder???
So cute Ginnie! Have a great weekend.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you and thank you, Richard.

It looks like Astrid on her boat to me
Ginnie Hart: She will take that as a compliment, Chris. smile

Wonderful! I didn't saw this gable stone. Very Dutch!
Ginnie Hart: I guess that's why it takes many witnesses, Philine...to catch them all eventually! smile Thanks. And, yes, very Dutch.

Sorry, I didn't see ... Veere is an eldorado for gable stone lovers like you and me!
Ginnie Hart: I know your English, Philine. smile But, yes, it was a great city for finding gable stones!

Hahah... very good. I like the two pigeon-like birds bottom left. Christmas? Hmmm.. is that this month?
Ginnie Hart: I'm still trying to figure out what those iron-like thingies are, Alan. Pullies? But, yes, Christmas is around the corner.....
What do you think she is doing on the boat, G?
Baking a yule log? wink
Ginnie Hart: HAHAHAHAHA! You're way too funny, LC. grin

I don't think we have gable stones over here, Ginnie. This one is delightful
Ginnie Hart: I don't think so either, Lisl, but you DO have splendid weathervanes, which I adore. That's more than enough for me. smile Thanks.

This is fabulous Ginnie, where did you find it?
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Chad. This one is in Veere, NL, (Zeeland province)...from on our way home from Belgium, December 1.

Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Elaine. It doesn't take much, does it. smile Thanks.

From me to you:

I am a Chris de Burgh fan, for many reasons - complete allrounder. The song I have chosen for you is just one that touches me deeply.

That was the Americas. Here is Africa.

Ginnie Hart: Astrid was telling me about this Chris de Burgh, who apparently does concerts here in the Netherlands often. Thanks for both links to him, Louis. That means a lot.
Ginnie Hart: ...just like so many Dutch gable stones, Tom. smile
This is another lovely little find of yours Ginnie. It doesn't seem like 7 months since we all met up at Cosford does it, time flies when one gets to 70!!!!!
Ginnie Hart: HA! Is this what I have to look forward to next year, Brian...time flying faster than it already is??!! smile

Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Anne. I LOVE gable stones, as you know, for this very reason.

A bit of information about this gable stone, but not enough for us:
Ginnie Hart: I love that there are databases for these Dutch stones (and windmills and water towers), Philine, but too bad this one doesn't have a date recorded. You're right. Thank you.
That would look good under my tree...
Ginnie Hart: Well, then, let's pretend it's there for you, Larry. smile

What an interesting piece ... I'd be curous to know how old this is.

And yes, Ginnie! Only a few days before Christmas. I am so excited!!
Ginnie Hart: The thing I hate about this one, Emily, is that it is in the Dutch database without a date. Usually you can find out how old they are. Too bad. But at least you can tell it's OLD.

And yes, Christmas is just around the corner. What a delightful time of the year for most of us. Enjoy it!
