I love pumpkins!

I have found a place in the local footpath market that does a brilliant pumpkin curry, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: I love pumpkins, too, Ray. They come in so many shapes and sizes! And I LOVE LOVE LOVE curry, so I'd love the recipe (which maybe I can Google). However, not many pumpkins here in the Netherlands to speak of that I have seen. sad
oh Great Pumpkin where are you !?!?!?
Ginnie Hart: HA! I love it, Dennis! smile

The "green" of the wood and the bluish tint to the pans and that ORANGE! This is perfect.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Margaret. You're a sweetheart. I'll be at your posts a bit later this morning....
Lovely picture Ginnie. The colours are perfect
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir!

This is a great picture, love the details in here.
Somebody had fun composing this still-live.
Well seen and well captured.
Ginnie Hart: These were the little things on Texel that thrilled me, MLMA. It was the perfect time of the year to be there! Bedankt.

Yes, the times of pumpkins in different shapes and colours all over - you have chosen a beautiful one! (Close to my apartment a farmer has established a flower stall adorned with heaps of small and big pumpkins! Overnight the pumpkins are protected by nets. I myself bought a little one with fine natural patterns.)
Ginnie Hart: I love pumpkins, Philine, and miss seeing them here, though I'm sure they're grown here, too. I just don't see them around like we do in the States. Bedankt.
this is a real fall setting to me
Ginnie Hart: For me, too, Chantal! Bedankt.

I must admit Ginnie that November has a distictive feel to it. I love this high quality Dutch engineering and pumpkin
Ginnie Hart: This really is my favorite time of the year, Chris...and it began in England with you! smile Thank you.
Very nice... I like this picture! smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Victoria.
colorful and really big!
Ginnie Hart: I know, Joshi. smile Thanks.
Incredible mix of textures of wood, metal and squash. A greeting.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Pedro.

Ginnie Hart: Works for me, Chad. smile
Nice photo, fine colors! Thanks for sharing.
Ginnie Hart: Thank YOU, Mats.
Lots of pie in that beast, Ginnie - and soup and custard, squares and a ton left for curry.
Ginnie Hart: Bring it all on, Mary! I love everything pumkin. smile Thanks.

This is a very fine specimen Ginnie. Love the way the bright colour stands out against the dull wood.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Ingrid. It's a variety we're not used to in the States.
From the thumbnail, I thought it was a partly peeled orange!
Ginnie Hart: HA! Fooled you, then, Tom! smile Thanks.

What would you like to choose? I'm afraid we ourselves would turn into a big/thick pumpkin after having eaten all these courses of menue!
Ginnie Hart: Also in the States, Philine! So why don't I see this everywhere here so nearby you???? Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places. I'll have to ask Astrid!
A great November shot Ginnie. Some pumpkin soup would go down very well right now.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Janet. Now you've given me a good idea..... smile
I like the shot Ginnie... did you set it up or was the arrangement already before you?
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Jacquelyn. I didn't touch a thing, which was the beauty of it for me. As seen! smile
Me too. Especially here in the South. I like this image of vibrant pumpkin color against the neutrals of metal and wood. Good choice!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Doug. It's such a feel-good month for me. smile
Nice image, great colours, a traditional 'still life'
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, John!

What a lovely, rich colour. We make pumpkin soup, too, Ginnie, after roasting the pumpkin
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Lisl. And we roast the pumpkin seeds, one of my favorite parts of the pumpkin. smile
A rustic image to please the eye, Ginnie. Perfect for the season.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks a million, Beverly. I don't normally see this variety, which is why it caught my eye.

Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Anne.
But ! of course ! bisou my Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Sweetheart Pierrot. Merci.
Nice One Ginnie, I just love Pumpkin Pie.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Frances, and me, too. The Thanksgiving meal is one of the things I most miss here in the Netherlands, however. (sigh)
Lovely shot. Really like the weathered look of that cupboard or shelf unit. Nice blend of colors. smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Jimi. I'm sure it's as old as the hills! smile
Very nice composition. I have never seen a pumpkin like that!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Larry. It's one I rarely see, for sure.
The best thing about pumpkins is their colour and I hate the colour orange ... ha ha ha
Ginnie Hart: You would have a great time in the Netherlands, Richard. HA!
I must admit to not being a lover of Pumpkin although their shapes and colours are quite nice.
Ginnie Hart: You poor thing, Brian. Well, at least you admitted it. smile Thanks.

Lovely squash! I enjoy the late autumn harvest and our Thanksgiving. Other than that, it leads to winter's snow.
Ginnie Hart: Hold off on the snow for now, Rob, and enjoy Thanksgiving...although, one of the biggest blizzards of my life was over the Thanksgiving weekend, driving from Madison, WI, to Lansing, MI, rounding the south point of Lake Michigan. I still remember it after all these years. We almost didn't make it.

Philine missed out on pumpkin fritters, which is a special for me. We also make a pumpkin and dried peach mix on sauteed onions, with a few sticks of cinnamon. Eat it as a vegetable dish with good meat, e.g. medium/rare rump steak.
Ginnie Hart: Mmmmmmmm. Sounds great, Louis. And just before going to bed. HA!
A nice spot. Most people would have just walked straight past this scene (myself included!). I agree with you - fall is the best time and November is probably the best month in the fall.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Mark. I so agree about fall and November!

The great pumpkin Ginnie... it was well places to show off its colour.... our pumpkins don't look like this in Canada... the ring below the top and the stripes down to it is quite different... good eye and a nice composition....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: The Great Pumpkin, indeed, Peter. That would have been a better title. smile And yes, we don't usually see this variety either in the States.
