Seashore Seashells

She sells sea shells by the sea shore.
The shells she sells are surely seashells.
So if she sells shells on the seashore,
I'm sure she sells seashore shells.

Say it fast out loud 10 times in a row.  I double-dare you!

Today is my turn again at Vision and Verb, talking about Heaven on Earth.

Seashore Seashells, I always have to look for them when I am at a beach.
You did a great job capturing 'silent sea-life', the colours are beautiful.
grin, I think Larry had to clean his computer screen...
Ginnie Hart: LOL at Larry. I know...a blubbering idiot. grin Finding seashells is like finding money for me, as you know. I loved finding them at Texel! Bedankt.
Great shot Ginnie.... i love Astrid's comment about Larry's screen lol....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Peter, and I know. He probably sounded like a blubbering idiot. grin

Oh Ginnie, I love shells, and as young person I collected shells wherever I was - you can still see some of my collection at home - you captured very well the shapes of the three sorts (esp. heart-shells!) of shells -I miss only some wet glittering, you could use some nail polish -oh no, let them lie in this beautiful way!
Yes, tongue twisters are very funny in all languages! Acht Aardige Aardmensen Aten Achtentachtig Aardappels Achter Allerlei Appelbomen.
Ginnie Hart: Finding shells is like finding money for me, Philine. They are always a treasure. This was the first time, however, that I lay down on my stomach to capture them with a macro lens. I was like a little kid! smile Hartstikke bedankt. And yes, I love tongue twisters...in whatever language!
Life is just a beach Ginnie , if only it was that simple.
Ginnie Hart: I know, Mick. I know!

I like all the different shapes and textures here. This would make a superb blown up poster for an art gallery or similar. I like the letterbox crop.
Ginnie Hart: You're very kind and generous, Alan. Thank you.
We've both been to the beach, I see. Love your pretty seashells.
Ginnie Hart: Nothing like the beach, Mary, especially at this time of the year for me. smile Thanks.

One of my favourite pastimes on the beach, the clarity in this shot shows every detail, beautiful Ginnie smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Linda. This was the first time I actually ever lay down on the beach and stuck my macro lens right in their face. smile

A wonderful tongue twister. My father used to ask me to say:- Around the rugged mountain the ragged rascal ran. That is of course much easier.
Ginnie Hart: HAHAHA! Your father must have been making a statement when he had you recite that, Chad! grin
A nice shell shock for Monday Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: HA! Well said, John. smile

When the picture opened, I first thought of the ditty and there ... you have written it.

So you have been laying down on the beach this weekend? I hope it was only after serving some coffee to MLMAA. Great shot came out of the visit and I like the crop you applied.
Ginnie Hart: HA! Great minds and all, Louis. smile I love it.

That was last weekend and, YES, I was down on my stomach looking these shells in the eye. It was totally worth it. smile

Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Chris. The sea calls and we have to listen!
Nice shot Ginnie, at least this verse doesn't make one say a naughty word if one gets tongue tied. Will look up V.& V.shortly.

Ginnie Hart: HA! I love it, Michael. smile
Beautiful image Ginnie! I once had a beau in the Navy stationed on a small island in the Indian Ocean. He spent hours picking the prettiest shells for me - the are black & white, or brown and white - checkered! Astounding!
Ginnie Hart: What a sweet memory, Elizabeth! Thanks for sharing it. smile

Excellent colour, texture and detail - well photographed.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks a million, Miles.
Can never get my mouth & brain in sync to master any of those tongue twisters; totally hopeless.

I'm with Alan on this one, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: You're very generous, Beverly. Thank you. Those tongue twisters are so fun, aren't they. Makes you wonder who thinks them up. smile
Beaucoup de délicatesse dans ce choix. Beaucoup de détails.
Une très très belle photo. Vraiment, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: You're generous and kind, Olivier. Merci.

I really like the wide panoramic format - and all the more so for its more unusual angle...

In younger days it used to be that "She SITS and sells sea shells by the sea shore", which makes it all the more difficult to keep it polite!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, George. This was one time I actually lay down on the sand to get up close and personal with my macro lens. smile But to think of this tongue-twister being any harder? HA! Go for it! smile
