Life's Serendipities

We have just returned from many wonderful serendipities in England!

You'll see some of them in the days and weeks to come, of course.

In the meantime...this mother and child enjoyed the incredible sight of The Shepherd and his sheep

who came to our city in the Netherlands a week ago to "mow" one of our dijks.

Delighted that you both enjoyed your stay in the UK...

I love this one, you've really captured a magical moment.

100% delightful image, Ginnie.

For a moment there I thought it was a group shot of the SC gathering, as I thought I could recognise 3 or 4 "stooges" in the flock. [grin]
Ginnie Hart: HAHAHA. I love it, Ray. You'll see that shot on Monday, if I can get my act together by then. smile Thank you! You've just made my day.
this is such and interesting composition and the smiling face adds an extra something to the picture!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Joshi. That woman was in heaven, and I suspect she was hoping her child was, too!

Ginnie Hart: I love sheep, too, Luiz, and never get bored by the hundreds of them we see all over the Netherlands. Thank you!
No heads on the sheep... brilliant photo! They were all very busy.
Ginnie, I really enjoyed all your pix on Heaven on Earth. So interesting.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you for looking, Jacquelyn, at the link. I was in heaven that day, just like this mother. I knew exactly what she was feeling!

Welcome at home! Yes, a lovely serendipity, and I read some days ago on your own blog about your wonderful ontmoeting met de schaapherder en zijn schapen - dit moet een prachtige belefenis zijn geweest. But I love the woolwhite coat of the sheep, in England I saw also some black sheep, black-white sheep and -oh wonder- orange sheep -this must be a new breed I never saw before.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Philine, for looking at my other blog. You know how soulful sheep are for me! I would have been this mother with both my children if I had had sheep to show them on a daily bike ride!

And yes, we are home and now rested after a full and magnificent visit with Chris, et al. You'll see more in the days to come, of course.
pleasant photo in perspective and atmosphere
Ginnie Hart: Thnak you kindly, Fabrizio. Grazie.

I drove by a this dijk a few times after work and I am so happy that you captured this 'unique' view.
It is not every day that you can walk between sheep.
Another wonderful memory.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks to you, MLMA, I found out about this rare phenomenon. THANK YOU. It really did make my day. Heaven on earth!

Ginnie Hart: Ohhhh, merci, dear Mathilde. I was in heaven while watching this mother. She was as excited about the sheep as I was. smile

Gosh, Ginnie! That woman looks so much like me a few years ago. She looks delighted at what she sees.
Ginnie Hart: Seriously?! How wonderful, then, Mary. She was as much in heaven as I was. It was a very soulful time for me, especially when I watched her watching her son watching the sheep. smile

Great shot Ginnie. Looking forward to seeing your photos from your trip!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you and thank you, Kala.
This is really nice, the view over the sheep, not sure the young fellow looks very impressed though, seems more into brakes smile
Ginnie Hart: HA! He seemed to get more into it as the moments went on, John, but clearly his mother was in heaven...with me! smile Thanks.
It was wonderful to see you both. The day just flew by!

I like the windscreen on this bike
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Bill. The whole time was better than wonderful for us both! We are such happy campers...with big smiles on ours faces still! smile
You found a great angle here Ginnie, I will look at the full set on the link a bit later on.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir!
Une maman heureuse et un enfant intrigué par ces moutons !!
Une très belle image !
Bonne journée.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Jean-Louis, for stopping by and commenting. Merci.

All the time you surprise me with your great shot . also I like the processing you've done !
Ginnie Hart: You're very kind and sweet, Ahmad. Thank you.
There's always the black sheep the one that's apart from the rest. Great image.
Ginnie Hart: HA! That's so true, Martin. Even in my family growing up we had the so-called "black sheep" of the family! smile Thank you kindly.
The young lad does not seem that impressed Ginnie, and I'm sure I recognise a few of those sheep.
Ginnie Hart: He didn't have a clue, Les, you're right. But the mommy and I were in 7th heaven. smile Thank you. And how nice that we got to see you again after a year-plus. It was like picking up from where we last left off.

wonderful juxtaposition of rural and urban, and so well composed!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Sesan, for commenting again.
Great shot from such an unusual angle.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Sheila. I was in heaven watching them watch the sheep. They were on top of the dike and I was down below. smile
Its a wonder you wasn't trampled on you must've been in the thick of it at that angle smile A pretty shot showingf a pretty mum with a pretty smile :-0
Ginnie Hart: I was amazed at how the sheep just walked around me without even touching me, Dave, like I was a tree trunk. grin It was so delightful. Thanks.

I love all those sheep in both the posts.

The colours are so interesting, I am used to white sheep mainly.

nothing but little lambs here!
Ginnie Hart: I know, Dennis. So adorable. smile Thanks.
fabulous scene. wonder if the curious kid would have wanted to have a go, petting the sheep
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Ayush, and good question. I don't think he had a clue what was happening, especially since there were so many sheep (maybe 100). smile
Awesome photo Ginnie! Great point of view and treatment! So glad you had a wonderful time!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you and thank you, Elizabeth. Now I will start cracking on all the images! smile
That is such a cool shot form that point of view. Excellent.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks a million, Michael. I was at the bottom of the dijk and she was at the top, which was indeed fun.
Beautiful capture Ginnie..... i have never heard of bringing sheep to mow dijks.... i have seen many of photos of your serendipities in England thanks to some of your companions.... i can see that you and Astrid had a great time there....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: It doesn't happen often for us in the city, Peter, so this was a real treat to see, just a 15-minute walk from home. And yes, it's been fun to see the other photos up already. I will start working on my images today! smile

What a wonderful shot. The sheep are not central in this one, you only shot their backs. Very nice!
I'm interested in your England-pictures.
Ginnie Hart: Hartstikke bedankt, Fokko. And yes, the England images are coming, beetjie bij beetje. smile
This is a wonderful photo, capturing the mood of the moment. Very nice.

Ginnie Hart: Thank you and thank you, Jimi. I have my work cut out for me...myriads of images. smile
Excellent Capture! Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Sue.
I like the strangeness in this picture, the lower angle, all the sheep with no heads, the girl smiling like in an add.....cool
Ginnie Hart: HA! I agree, Aksel. This thrilled me to no end! smile
Clearly, mama is having as much or more fun than her babe!
Ginnie Hart: BINGO, Linda. Sometimes we mommies see everything as we wish our babies see them! smile Thanks.
