Its a gorgeous mound of fishing hardware, Ginnie...especially with its stone and concrete landscape.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Ray. True to form, Norway continues its display of color!

The colors! This makes fishing look delightful... Just a wonderful snapshot.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Margaret. It makes me want to go fishing. smile
I've yet to see such colourful fishing nets as these, Ginnie. Catch of the Day is right!
Ginnie Hart: Astrid was the one who came up with the title, Beverly, the second she saw this image, so I stole it from her (with her permission, of course). smile Thank you. Norway was colorful from beginning to end, no doubt about it.

A fine stilleven - and I am sure you treasured up something more while going on treasure -photo hunting...! -
(I hope to find some treasure, too, when/ if (ash cloud!) going tomorrow by air plane to England for only a few days( Canterbury and Chelsea Flower Show in London)).
Ginnie Hart: Ohhhh, Philine. This reminds me of a year ago when my flight to Atlanta was postponed for the same reason. UGH. I trust it will all work out for you! Bedankt.
Hello madam Ginnie, I like these small details of peach(fishing), I make often also in all the ports(bearings) height of kisses, and good day...
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Pierrot. Then we love the same things. smile Merci.

Well seen & taken Ginnie

Lovely mix of colours Ginnie. Harbours are a rich source of pictures

That is a nice catch of the day wink, love the bright colours and the mish/mash of floaters and rope.
Great composition and beautiful picture.
Ginnie Hart: I love how QUICK you were to come up with the title the second you saw this. What a brain...even in English. You quite amaze me, to be honest. I was just sitting there like a bump on a log, wracking my brain! grin Hartstikke bedankt, MLMAMV.

Fantastic, great DOF
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Aussie.
Items that are related to the nautical to the fishing boats are good reasons for our pictures. They always give good results and this is not an exception. A greeting.
Ginnie Hart: Muchas gracias, Pedro. I, too, love anything nautical. It's like another world of longing.

Gorgeous colors Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Frida. If I ever have to describe Norway to anyone, I'll say one word: COLORS! smile
I love piles of ropes and buoys. You have shown this one beautifully.
Ginnie Hart: I do, too, Mary. smile Thank you
I love the mix of colors against the warm stone walls. That is quite a tangle Ginnie! I hope the fishermen are better than I at undoing knots.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Doug. Let's hope those fisherman have learned by now how NOT to do it. grin

Catch of the Day

Desire is a troublemaker...
Ask a fish who sensed a tasty
bait covered hook… he's snagged
and is struggling like crazy

As he squirms and fights
to get loose… he thinks
he should have thought twice...
this situation really stinks

Longing for a dilatable flavor
put him in the frying pan
Now he's the catch of the day
Never to be curious again

by Theresa Ann Moore
Ginnie Hart: HaHa, Louis. Leave it to you to come up with this. smile Thanks for the smile.
Harbours are really good places for all sorts of selective shots like this little gem Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: I so agree, Brian. Thank you!

Can't think of a lifestyle that seems more appealing, but no doubt the reality is rather different, perhaps the Adriatic climate would be kinder smile
Ginnie Hart: I'm sure it's a tough life, John, no matter how idyllic it may appear. I'm guessing it's their livelihood, no mater what the weather is! Thanks.

hmm...I wonder if there are any lobsters in there.
Ginnie Hart: Now, wouldn't that be nice, Puna! smile
Me gusta los tonos que le has dado con la edición, te ha quedado genial y con el dof de fondo has resaltado muy bien el plano principal. Me gusta la toma.

Ginnie Hart: Muchas gracias, Bernardo. You're a sweetheart.
Nice shot Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Navin.
This is a lovely colorful fishing tackle image Ginnie. well spotted
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Janet. I'm a glutton for anything nautical, truth be told. smile
Nice composition, Ginnie.

Great shot of something simple like a fishing net. Very nice focus.
Greetings, Fokko
Ginnie Hart: I think I'm a fisherwoman at heart, Fokkio. smile Thanks.
How is it, Ginnie, that you can make a simple bundle of fishing gear, on the dock, look so stunning? Love the rust-tones and that Dutch orange.
Ginnie Hart: You're really kind, Alex. Thank you. You can tell I fell in love with Norway! smile

Lovely and colourful smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Cherie!
They definitely need to catch a lot of cods. smile
Do they have fish and chips in Norway?
Or they just eat cod liver oil and tongueless cods? wink

Thanks for the falu red link, G. smile
Ginnie Hart: Good question about if they have fish-n-chips, LC. Maybe in Oslo? I don't know. If so, they may not call it that, as happens here in The Netherlands. You can buy fish and French fries at the same place but it's not exactly the same, if you know what I mean. smile Anyway, thanks.
Great colours and textures Ginnie....i like it....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir. smile
Beautiful array of colors along with a great arrangement. You managed to make a fishing net look so beautiful Ginnie, excellent image!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, John. I'm basically a glutton for such nautical gear! smile

Nice shot. Wonderful colours. smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Sam.
beautiful, Ginnie! wonderful tones.

Sorry I have been gone for ages. But I finally set up a new blog! smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Charles. And your new blog is a winner. :
Mmm...it looks like a colorful fruit basket! Those oranges look tasty! (Since there are no fish to dine on!)
Ginnie Hart: Awww. I like that idea of a fruit basket, Patrushka. smile Thanks for the smile.
i don't know how fishermen do it. i get seasick just walking on a floating dock- before I even get on a boat.
i'd rather ride in a bumpy wagon pulled by a mule.

but but but... it's a great photo. i like the colors.
the equipment looks much too clean to be off a fishing boat.
perhaps the photo was taken outside of a norwegian fetish club. eh?
Ginnie Hart: Now I'm curious, Sera: are you also afraid of heights?? grin

Thanks for your comment. It all does look rather 'set up' as a prop, doesn't it. smile
