Ah.... Finally!
Everything was washed anew after the rain.
I especially love the air after the rain.
It's so refreshing.

But all I can smell is the dried cod fish heads.
And maybe some tongues... wink
I need some strong cod liver oil to take away this strong smell. Ha... smile
Ginnie Hart: You're too funny, LC. The smell of the cod fish and oil was long gone by this point in the trip, thankfully! grin Thank you.
Lovely colours, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Graeme. I found this to be one of the charming details of Norway houses!

gobsmacked
Ginnie Hart: I love that word, Ray, which I first learned from you. I'm honored. Thank you.
I love the colors of the city. Reds, Yellows, and Blues you never see that here. And it doesn't look cold today wink
Ginnie Hart: The house colors in Norway are what keep them awake during the long, dark days of the year, Ryan. I'm sure of it. smile Thanks.

Ginnie Hart: Rain can be so cleansing and refreshing, SAVO. If only we could always remember that. Thanks.

Agreed Ginnie: what a change when the suin shines!
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Chris. Thanks. Actually, we really need lots of rain now here in Holland. Astrid says it's the worst drought since 1911. But apparently we'll get some in these next days ahead, thanklfully.
Oh Ginnie like that makes me happy to see it all! I find it very interesting to watch your trip and compare our images from the same place! It is true that mine does not appear on my site! There's too much! But I make the trip with you again! Bon WE Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Mathilde. I feel the same way when I see one of your Norway images. How fun to compare. My other blog is where you can really see MOST of my photos, post after post for a month now. I've been working full-time on those pictures!

This a gem! Wonderful lighting after the rain that washed clear all colours... I like the colourful houses in Norway and this beautiful photo!
Een fijn weekeind ook jullie beiden toegewenst (ik ga morgen naar enkele privé tuintjes in de Achterhoek/Nederland -Twickel in Delden, Weldam, Het Warmelo)!
Ginnie Hart: I knew you would like the colors, Philine, which I cannot put through my normal processing. They wouldn't be the same! I loved these colors of the Norwegian houses!

We need the weekend, Philine, after another late week for Astrid. If it rains (which we also need--Holland's worst drought since 1911, Astrid says), we will use the time to rest! For you, however, I hope you have good weather for your tuintjes! Enjoy yourself.

that is some threathening sky, did you get rain or even thunder?
Ginnie Hart: This was after the rain, Chantal, just as the title says. We missed the rain by the time we got there...but caught the after-effects! It took our breath away.

Dramatic light and setting. It almost looks like a model town.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, John. I like the thought of a model town. Exactly.
Love the bright pop of colour provided by the seaside town in this dark and brooding shot! Really moody, but uplifting!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Alex. DRAMA! I love it. smile
Norway put on a wonerful show for you Ginnie. First the rain, then the sun on this gorgeous view.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, indeed, Janet. We'll never forget it. Thanks.
Oh Ginnie the lighting just makes this a truly charming image

After the rain everything looks so bright and beautiful smile
Ginnie Hart: Bright and beautiful and clean, Cherie. Thanks!
Quite dramatic lighting and a wonderful church Ginnie. BTW I found another 3 delightful country churches during our few days away this week, two of them with box pews and triple tiered pulpits, keep watching!
Ginnie Hart: You and I are so keen on church architecture, Brian, aren't we. I never tire of what we both find. Thanks.
Une lumière incroyable.
Un jeu de couleurs subtil et très agréable...
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Olivier. It was a feast for the eyes!
It is raining here today Ginnie....but after the melt it will clean up the dirt that has been left by the winter snow.... Penny's Daffodils and Tulips are in bloom....smile

Now for this fantastic capture of the village with the sun on it and the bright boat in the harbour is magnificent.....and the storm clouds receding has put a proper lid on the whole composition....i like itsmile....i like it a lotgrin....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: We so much need the rain here in Holland, Peter...their worst drought since 1911. Supposedly we'll start getting some today, which we'll all welcome. I LOVE the rain...both before, during, and after. Especially in the Springtime!

You are always so complimentary, encouraging and upbuilding with your comments...not unlike a good rain with sun afterwards! Thank you.
LOL, I must have missed the title yesterday in my comment... dumb me...
Ginnie Hart: HAHA! It happens to the best of us, Chantal. You're NOT dumb! smile

Ginnie Hart: Merci, Tede. It took my breath away.
I see you waited till just the right moment in the boat's passage. We will get rain AND shine this weekend in NC--take your pick! smile
Ginnie Hart: We felt so lucky to see this, Larry. Thanks. And yes, I think we, too, will get both. To be honest, we really need the rain right now. Hollad has been having their worst drought since 1911.

nice view and lovely vivid colours!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks a million, Glo. The colors were what I learned to love about Norway.
Such a lot of yellows in this shot!
I like the church, seems to stand alone
Ginnie Hart: Those yellows and reds are all over Norway, Ted, and totally make the country, if you ask me. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Welcome to SC.
Wow, this is such a stunning image. The light is amazing as well as the color and mood. A picture right out of an illustrated story book.
Ginnie Hart: You're very kind, Doug. Thank you. And thank God Blogger is back up again!

I'm not ever going to grumble anyway Ginnie as I love what those dark clouds bring...rain is so romantic and beautiful! Your picture is of course very lovely with that mood and beautiful colors...they look like Doll's houses!
Ginnie Hart: I don't grumble over rain either, Pavan, knowing how much we need it. For me, too, it is romantic and beautiful, especially when there's thunder. smile It always amazes me how many are depressed by rain. It feels so cleansing to me. Thanks for understanding this.
