Oh so beautiful Ginnie. I reckon you are on the deck when you snapped this?
Ginnie Hart: This was on our excursion off the ship, Maria, so we were inside a tour bus, looking through the windows on a misty day. Thanks.
Once again a wonderful shot.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Michael.

The Lofoten tour was fabulous, maybe one day we can go back by car and spend at least a month in Norway.
I love the small fishing boats, it is a (hard) way of life and I know the fishermen will be happy that it is Friday again, they return home after been at sea for a week.
Wonderful picture, knowing this is taken from the bus and with foggy weather.
Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, MLMA. We'll never forget Norway! If we can go back by car one day, that will be another amazing trip.

this looks like an amazing place to live.
Ginnie Hart: I'm sure it is, Kanyi, even if a hard life. Thanks.
Great shot from the moving bus Ginnie.....you should see some of my blurry mountains...because Joe wouldn't stop every five minutes to let me take another shot....i like your treatment too....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: The driver slowed down when he got to this bridge, Peter, so I was very lucky. He must have known it was a photo op! smile Thanks.

it's so easy to give the boats personalities from just this shot....like they all have their own lives like people do. Just relaxing with friends after a long day at work.
Ginnie Hart: I like that, Alex. I'm sure they all have their own personalities as well as names! Thanks for the thought.

The only thing to say really Ginnie is that fish is good for you
Ginnie Hart: HA! You've got that right, Chris. grin Thanks.
I could easily live there, without a care in the world. The fairytales by Hans Christian Andersen come to mind when I see this!! Just gorgeous!
Ginnie Hart: I do know what you mean, Marion. A different way of life altogether. Hartstikke bedankt.
Isn't it good Norwegian Wood
Ginnie Hart: Oh yes, Bill. Wood everywhere!
Great image, great product. I could eat fish every day.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Martin. I could, too! smile

..and do their business earning some money by fishing...- an atmospheric, colourful harbour scene -and in the background the mysterious, grandious looking, threatening Lofoten mountains, they must be giants!
Ginnie Hart: It is definitely their living, Philine, and helps them get through life as they know it. It was a spectacular scene because of the mountains. It was magical for us both. Bedankt.
awwww look how cute and shiny and clean that front boat is, that takes alot of work!! pretty picture Ginnie!!!
Ginnie Hart: They clearly take pride in their boats, Elaine. And their fish, I might add! smile Thanks.
Love the old fishing campaigns feel here.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Karine. Merci.
Well I hope they don't drink the briney water Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: HA! Let's hope not, Stanley. smile
Do I see the clouds lifting a little? Or did they descend again immediately after the shot? smile
Ginnie Hart: Well, it was going on into the night, Tom. In another hour it was mostly dark, so I don't have a clue. smile Thanks.
I don't know why but these look like little toy boats. Really nice shot!
Ginnie Hart: I know exactky what you mean, Mary, now thst you say it. smile Thanks.

impressionnant !!!
atmosphère lourde et froide !! superbe vision !
Ginnie Hart: Thank you most kindly, Didier. Merci.
I presume that is the only way that the people who live there can make a living Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: I'm guessing so, Brian, unless they can capitalize on all the tourists coming through!
Looks like a great place Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: We'll never forget it, John.
Another superb image of mood and atmosphere. The color really jumps off the screen from the mostly gray background and the depth is wonderful. Have a great weekend Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Your words are very kind, Doug. Thank you.

What a charming little scene Ginnie. And it's Friday.
Ginnie Hart: Boat Friday, in fact, Chad. YES. Thank you.
Pictures shot from bus windows should all be this charming, Ginnie. A fabulous submission for Boat Friday.
Ginnie Hart: I was so happy he slowed down, Beverly. THANK YOU!
Now thats what I call a fishing village. This photo makes me want to take a trip Norway. I could spend a entire day photographing there.
Ginnie Hart: You would have a heyday there, Ryan. We were thrilled to see it. Thanks.
Là aussi une très belle perspective... presque des miniatures, des maquettes... Well done !
Ginnie Hart: It almost doesn't seem real, Olivier, I know. Merci.
perfect photo in old style
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Fabrizio.

I'd love to own one of these boats!
Ginnie Hart: Then youd have to go out fishing, Rob. grin Thanks.
A very fine landscape with so much urban colors contrasting with the usual foggy ambient. I also like the post processing enhancing this contrast.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks a million, PixeLuz.
Did you try their famous lutefisk?
Cos I can't wait to see your "baby" face again.
You know, like the one you tried their cod liver oil. Ha ha... wink
Ginnie Hart: HAHA! Actually, I'm surprised we were not served it by our blogger friends, LC. They should never live that down! Next time we'll try it, I promise. smile Thanks.
Vivid blasts of colour in another lovely tinted and very vintage look shot! I love the way you do these, Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: You sure know how to make my day, Alex. Thank you.
I think by the looks its a great way of life and the red on the boats is a really welcoming colour that stands out in the grey and mist smile
Ginnie Hart: I am sure you are right on both accounts, Linda. I'll never forget it. Thanks.
A delightful boat Friday Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Janet. Enough boats to last for lots of Fridays. smile

LOVE this photo Ginnie! Great texture and the framing is great for being in a bus. I have to say your photos are putting Norway on my travel list.

WOW! Beautiful! and technically very cool I like it. Beautiful colors. Have a nice day *_*
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, FotoS. Have a great weekend.
Wonderful shot, Ginnie!
The fog-shrouded mountains in the background really add a nice touch.

I love shooting boats, water or anything with a nautical theme. smile

Good work!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Jimi. I'm with you on nautical themes. Can't resist them. smile
You must have quick reflexes to find such a good picture from a moving object.
Ginnie Hart: It was more that the bus driver slowed down for us to take a good look, Larry! He must have known we'd want to take pictures. But thank you anyway. smile
beautiful way of life....// Nice foto, Ginnie //

Sorry my visits aren't so frequent - hopefully I'll be back to normal soon. Meanwhile thank you for your recent comments.

It's nice to see the Lofoten Islands again. Strangely enough I visited them in 1970 and just wished that I'd been a photographer in those days. Instead I was selling carbon paper - don't ask!

Really enjoying you Norwegian Saga Ginnie - I bet you did too.
Ginnie Hart: I do know what you mean, George, about going back to see things now that I saw in the past but with new eyes, due to photography. Thank you kindly for your visits, which mean the world to me.

Somehow - I think - it must be a rather nice way of life. Different than what I know..but not without its own pleasures and rewards.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Marcie. Perhaps a hard way of life but with honest work and their accompanying pleasures! Thank you.

Hi...drop by....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: You're a sweetheart, Peter. Happy Mother's Day!
Norway has such nice little fishermans villages I remember... like this one
Ginnie Hart: Yes, indeed, Chantal. I'll never forget it. Bedankt.

Ginnie Hart: Thank yhou kindly, Joshi.
The colors of the boats and the fog! Sublime image! I went to night! You're still in the North ...
