One of my favourite subjects Ginnie, looking a bit worse for wear though. I can't imagine it wills ail very far in the future.
Ginnie Hart: One wonders about such boats, Les, and why they fell to disrepair. Thanks.
Hurray for boat Friday! This poor boat has seen better days perhaps. But better days are yet to come.
Ginnie Hart: Boat Friday has gone all around the world, I think, Doug. smile I love it when it comes. Thanks.

Erect masts look better, don't they.

[This boat friday thing is spreading like a computer virus...]
Ginnie Hart: HA! I'm sure you're right, Ray, unless there's a good reason for putting the mast down.

I love that many of us pick up on each other and the themes presented. Vintage's has been around the longest thus far. smile

it'll take a while for the owner to clean this up.. smile
Ginnie Hart: Indeed, Rian! Just think what a bunch of us could do to spruce it up and then take a nice sail. smile

love the processing, very lovely tones.I wish i could take a trip around in that boat, beautiful.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Krunal. It would be fun to take a long sail in this boat, for sure. Not sure it would make it 'round the world?

HA...boatfriday, would not mind getting the sails, erect the mast and SAIL......
Remember I told you about lowering the mast every time we had to go under a low bridge sailing in Friesland (the province with the many lakes.
This boat has those two 'stands' to make it more easy.
It can happen that the captain has to lower the mast 5 times before coming into a lake for the 'real' sailing, I mean 5 times within the hour.......
THAT was part of the fun at the sailing school, who was first at the lake.
Wonderful picture, love the framing, too bad the owner is not in love with this boat, the boat should have winter covers over it.
Ginnie Hart: Ahhhh, now I get it...how they lower the mast. Makes sense now. I can just see you, like a mad woman, beating the heck out of everyone else and finishing the race first. grin I wonder if the owner of this boat is still alive? That town seemed so small and almost forsaken.

Its name is vanishing Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: It's a vanishing breed, Chris. Here today, gone tomorrow. So sad.
I know that texture!! I use it myself on occasions. Makes a lovely border here, and the subject in the border is awesome
Ginnie Hart: I knew you'd recognize it, Marion. Sometimes I'll play around with it and this time I thought, "Why not?" smile Bedankt.

i knew a family with 2 kids who lived on a boat that size, ugh... nice photo of the poor boat... and yes my niece is my bro's child, everyone is hoping she gets my looks lol
Ginnie Hart: Wow, Elaine. That would be tight quarters! One person, maybe, but 4? UGH.

I am not sure about the adding of the eclips, the rest of the photo I like a lot...
Ginnie Hart: I'm not sure either, Chantal...just messing around for the fun of it. smile Thanks.
Twiddling while drinking coffee and brandy and couldnt make up your mind what to do with it,i have the same problem when i have a glass or two of Rioja and twiddling.
Ginnie Hart: HA! Sure am glad you understand, Mick. grin Thanks.
There is a sadness about this shot with the textures and demasted boat.
Ginnie Hart: ...on a blustery cold day in early February, Mary! Exactly.

I see Boat Friday has been resurrected! I think this one needs a bit of TLC.
Ginnie Hart: I bet a whole bunch of us could whip it into shape before you know it, Ingrid! smile
Is it friday once more? How the eeks pass with hardly a glance.
Ginnie Hart: The weeks just fly, Chad!

....arghhh not for a "croisière" !!smile It seems in the end of his life non ??? :
Ginnie Hart: Maybe she'll be revived come spring, Didier...who knows! Merci.
You seem to have left your coffee cup on this Ginnie grin
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Bill. How did you guess! grin
Very well presented Ginnie the focus is entirely on the boat. Have a lovely weekend.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you much, Laurette. You, too.

Rather spend the weekend in the mill than this boat. I have a feeling you will not have enough blankets, living so close to the water.

Great picture and I like what you have done to it.
Ginnie Hart: Definitely, Louis...the windmill won hands over. But we kept our eye on it from our window. smile Thank you kindly.
Soon be time to come out of the shadows and have a wash and brush up. Some more life in the old girl yet hopefully
Ginnie Hart: I'm sure she has a lot of life left in her, Janet. Let's hope so. Spring seems to change everything. smile

Love the circle you've created around this. Such fun and creative processing.nueet
Ginnie Hart: Thanks for your vote of confidence, Marcie. smile
I would love to get my hands on this and get it back to its former glory, but no doubt the owners will when spring arrives. Its tucked away in a nice little spot, I like the texture and tones smile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Linda. I'm hopeful there will be plently of TLC within a month's time!
It does look a bit worse for wear. It could be a summer project for you two ladies to get it back into full trim and sail across to see us smile
Ginnie Hart: If Astrid were given time to sail it in return for cleaning it up, I'm sure she would JUMP at the opportunity, Brian. smile
It looks in fair shape Ginnie..has it really been abandoned.
Ginnie Hart: I don't think it's been abandoned, Ron...just a bit worse for wear after this bitter winter.
This boat looks really desparate for summer to come. Some pretty amazing reflections there.
Ginnie Hart: Let's hope it wakes up from its long winter's nap soon, Sheila! smile
Well captured Ginnie. Please let us know when this boat will be ready to sail. Remember that your first stop must be in Cape Town harbour.
Ginnie Hart: Awwww. What a sweet thought, Elsabe. You'll be the first to know when we're on our way! smile
Wonderful image Ginnie

It looks like a secret place for embarkation ;-)
Ginnie Hart: I love the idea...a trysting place. smile
Lonely broken boat and really dark atmosphere, it can be a horror-film poster, for examplesmile I like it
Ginnie Hart: HA! Well, thanks for the thought, Terry. smile

super land. But what is the elipse in the image?
Ginnie Hart: It was a texture I was playing around with, Oscar. Don't pay any attention to it. smile Gracias.
Maybe hunkered down, but not covered up! There's hope for spring sailing yet! As usual the treatment is lovely.
Ginnie Hart: Spring is definitely hopeful, Mark. smile Thank you kindly.
less fortunate boat. Beautiful moment

Love the tones and composition.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Sharon!
It does look a little unloved, but will no doubt brush up nicely when the sun shines. Well composed Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: I'm sure it will perk up in no time at all, John! smile Thanks.

What sad is it! She's apparently in poor condition for sailing and living inside. Personnaly I won't let mine like this one (I posted one shot of my boat yersterday).
Anyway, it's a great shot and I still love the processing you applied.
Have a nice evening, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: I LOVE your boat, Didier. OMG. What a blast. I am sure you take good care of it compared to this one.
so loving this shot Ginnie. What a find!!!
Ginnie Hart: It was fun to play around with, Heather. smile Thanks.
