The Dancing Queen

A little bit of silliness never hurt anyone.

Don't be sheepish about it!

(Somewhere out in the Dutch countryside.)

Today is my turn again at Vision & Verb

where you see why I chose this title.

In 2009, this ABBA song ranked 8th in times played in GB the last 75 years.

Nothing wrong with a bit of silliness every once in a while...
Some people do take them self to darn serious.......
A great picture to go with your title, sheep do dance when you don't look wink
Ginnie Hart: I have a feeling a lot of things/people dance when no one is looking...at least I hope so! grin Hartstikke bedankt, mijn vrouw.

funny title and lovely animals
Who knows if they feel cold?
Ginnie Hart: With all that wool, Fabrizio, I think of them as walking advertisements, without pay! grin
Nice capture..
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, VP.
Between college and university I travelled around in different parts of the world trying to find different kinds of music finding only Abba - and still i can't dance! :@
Ginnie Hart: HA! You probably CAN dance, Pekka, but just don't believe in yourself. Give it a chance and surprise yourself. smile

Herb crusted rack of lamb with a redwine jus, now thats a picture.I have 2 left feet but get better after a drink or 3,
Ginnie Hart: HA! I love it, Mick. I'm actually quite fond of lamb, even after falling in love with the Dutch sheep everywhere I go. A couple glasses of wine limber up my feet as well, so we're in good company, I see. smile Thanks.
He, he, nice one, Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Tom. grin

I just love these sheep. My shepherd pup would have a field day...smile!!!
Ginnie Hart: Your shepherd pup would be in heaven, Marcie. I can see it now. smile
They are all nicely wooled up against the Christmas cold I see.
Ginnie Hart: As warm as bugs in a rug, for sure, Brian. smile
They look quite healthy despite the cold. It is amazing these sheep always find enough to eat and keep warm, especially with their spindly legs.
Ginnie Hart: I know, Wim. It continues to amaze me. I'm guessing they're warmer than the horses and cows, however??
Now I see what you mean about the SPAM..Its new to me..Anyway Ginnie, a lovely shot and tones..Somewhat like a picture from Wales.
Ginnie Hart: I have just deleted the Coach spam, Ron. It somehow got through the cracks all over SC. Sigh. And yes, I'm sure there are lots of similar sheep in Wales. smile

Have the time of your life!
Ginnie Hart: HA! I love it, Fokkio. And yes, I will try to have the time of my life...which is definitely better than the alternative.
I think I will become a dancing queen while doing my housework and everything else grin I really enjoyed your V&V. Its good to have silly times! smile
Ginnie Hart: Sounds good to me, Linda...just like in Mamma Mia. smile And thanks for reading V&V!

Always funny look for sheeps. They will start playing leapfrog ("jumping-sheep" in french) smile Well done, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: HA! If the leader leaps, they all will follow, I'm sure. smile Merci, Didier.

I love the snow on the face of the sheep at the front smile
Ginnie Hart: That's the silliness, Cherie, which makes me laugh every time I see it. smile Thanks.
Sheep always seem to want to be photographed. They all want centre stage.
Ginnie Hart: It was so funny, Micheal, because when we got out of the car, they all walked over to us from where they were grazing in the field. I'm not sure what they expected from us but it did make for a good photo op. smile

Lolll ... a beautiful image of this sheep became a queen for a moment !!!!! Magnificent song by ABBA. Ginnie good day.
Ginnie Hart: I love it, too, Tede. It brings a big smile to my face. grin Merci.
Ah... Ginnie, that's one of my favourite songs!
Did you know that the real Queen (Not the Dutch one but the English one) also enjoys this song?
She admitted this a few years ago during a press interview.
It's funny.
Ginnie Hart: Ohhhh, I love it, LC. NO, I did not know that. So, we're in good company, you're saying. grin Thank you.
Ginnie, when I first saw this I thought perhaps the poor thing was hit in the chops with a snowball but I'm sure she just buried her face in the snow. I've seen other animals do that.

A very moving V&V today; one to which many of us can relate. Love, just love, ABBA
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Beverly. We had a german shepherd dog who loved to scoop up snow with his nose in Wisconsin. I loved watching him. I actually thought of him when I saw this sheep. smile Thanks.

I like this gathering/meeting of the sheep in the midth of winter -and I admire them being so hardened against the coldness and the frozen snow- we all are sheep in some way (but I would never have said that to my pupils!) and often we need a thicker skin (ein dickes Fell as we say) in order not to be hurt and offended too quickly if the behaviours of our friends, family members or other people don't corrrespond our expectations and desire. Don't educate other persons and don't expect too much- these are two lessons I learnt in my life -and nevertheless I love to be a dancing queen - however, wherever, and whenever it may be possible!
The ABBA was a group I liked very much, too ("Mamma...", sadly, I cannot listen to the video).
Ginnie Hart: Life is a dance, Philine. It's a learning experience. Sometimes it's messy and full of missteps. Those times when everything comes together and feels perfect...that's Life. That's Living. In the meantime, we keep practicing! And that, too, is Life...and Living. Sorry. I'm feeling a bit philosophical right now. :|
