Happy Birthday to Astrid!

(Wow, life looks complicated.)
Ginnie Hart: Life IS complicated, Ruth...or at least we make it such so much of the time. Maybe it's a lot easier than we think? grin Thank you. Astrid will love that you're "first!"

Life is a bit like that, isn't it...lots of choices of offer...
Ginnie Hart: It sure is, Ray. It's a wonder we ever make our way through the maze! smile Thanks.
That's quite a tangle of rope to figure out, Ginnie. Don't envy the crew that job.

Best wishes to Astrid on her birthday.
Ginnie Hart: I couldn't believe all the ropes, Beverly. It looked like they were from all the boats there instead of from just one! Thanks for the birthday wishes. smile

Sur eis a lot of ropes and lines there, i am sure you made Astrids birthday special for her
Ginnie Hart: We had a great time at Sail 2010, JJ...and now today is her birthday. Even though she has to go to work, I know it will be a great day for her. Thank you.

smile, thank you so much MLS, I am trying to figure out what ropes I need and what ropes are for others to use grin
This is a wonderful picture, we both had a great time at Sail, THIS picture sais it all for me, thank you.
Ginnie Hart: We both are learning what ropes are ours and which are for others. Thanks for joining me on this wonderful journey. And HAPPY BIRTHDAY, again and again. You're starting to catch up to me. smile
Very nice photo !
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Pierrot, for stopping by and commenting. Merci.
Happy Birthday Astrid, and beautiful photo. I am eager to see all the boat. A+ VAL smile
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Valérie. Astrid will be happy for your greetings. To be honest, I'm not sure I took a picture of all the boat! smile
even by my best wishes and happy birthday.... Astrid
Ginnie Hart: Grazie, Fabrizio. She'll love it.

Great words of wisdom Musketeer and a fantastic picture to go with it smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Musketeer. We both miss you!
I half expected her to be halfway up this rigging!
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Bill. You know her well. I'm very sure she would have been if she could have...with me following! grin

A fine contribution to Astrid - I'm sure she always knows which rope to grab....!- as sailor and as a very clever lady and a fine fellow! - I wish you both a lovey day! The sun is just shining!
Ginnie Hart: We saw the return of the tall ships from AMS back to the sea on TV last night, Philine...in the rain. We were so lucky that both our days were sunshiny and bright. We're so thankful! Today it's very windy on her birthday...enough to sail all the boats in the world to paradise and back. smile Bedankt.
Happy birthday Astrid, no wonder you were up early Ginnie making Astrid a birthday breakfast.
Ginnie Hart: HA! NOT! That was last weekend and the one to come. grin

Much better to have many choices than None..fine shot Ginnie and a happy birthday to Astrid
Ginnie Hart: You do have a point, Tony. smile Thanks.
That is a clever thing to say Ginnie. This could be the strings of a giant musical instrument.
Ginnie Hart: Now that's a happy image, Chad, for a sailboat. A harp comes to mind. smile Astrid will like that.
I like the order and confusion in all this, it says you just have to find your rope and follow it to the end. Go for it!
Ginnie Hart: Rxactly, Sheila. RExactly! No wonder Life can sometimes seem so difficult. grin Thanks.
Thank you for your kind passage, maid journé to you, kisses...
Ginnie Hart: Merci to you, too, Pierrot.
Awwwwwwww, so lovely!! Happy birthday Astrid, en ook jij hartelik gefeliciteerd Ginnie. Dat jullie samen nog lang mogen zeilen op de oceaan van het leven!
Ginnie Hart: Hartstikke bedankt, Marion. Astrid will really like this, as do I.
make it a fun day!! Congrats from me too...

BTW great lines in this photo...
Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, Chantal. More lines than you can shake a stick at! smile

Nice Shot, well done
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Mirco.
Nicely said Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Ron. It made sense to me. smile
What a lot of choices we have - some were good and some weren't. they are all necessary though, to bring us where we are now - just like the boat - all necessary.
Ginnie Hart: Some people have more choices than others, Mary, as we both know. We are so lucky to have them. I once heard someone say that if we have choices (clothes, cars, food, houses, jobs, etc.) we are wealthy!

Please pass on my regards too ;o)

This if anythig looks more complicated than life! But then I never know which strings to pull nor buttons to push ;o)
Ginnie Hart: HA! I get your drift, Mike. grin Some things ARE more complicated than life, for sure. I think we often make life more complicated than it really is. (sigh)

Amazing angle and composition which enhances the perspective..
Love the lines created..

Clever message Ginnie.

I'm sure you've ensured Astrid had a wonderful day today.
Ginnie Hart: It was a "normal" day because of work, school and her son visiting in the evening, Ellie. The real celebration was over the long weekend in Amsterdam for Sail 2010. We had so much fun. Thanks.
