Fantastic shot of these so cool and colorful, TGIF indeed its been a real hectic week for me
Ginnie Hart: It's been one of those weeks for a lot of us, JJ, I do believe. Thanks.

I used to have one of these dolls. One big one with 3 inside of her and then 3 inside of them. It was unique from what I understand. This made me think of her.
Ginnie Hart: The Russian nesting dolls are a big thing for collectors, Helen. It sounds like you didn't keep yours? sad

I love the image. Yes, TGIF!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Kanyi. We all need a Friday at least once a week!
I like the texture and colors a lot here. Those are all very colorful planters; the Russian nesting dolls all facing each other look like they are in a conversation.
I agree on the TGIF - long and hectic work week!
Ginnie Hart: The pitchers were on the table just like this and I liked that same feel, too, Mark, of the girls in conversation with each other. smile Thanks.

Remarkable!
Looks like you flipped the colour saturation dial in the opposite direction from usual, Ginnie.
I like it!
Ginnie Hart: Sometimes even I have to break out of the mold, Ray. grin Thank you, kind sir.

WOW.....that is a delightful picture, we had a FABULOUS day, the weather was perfect and the company was great wink
Love the texture and the composition ad the POV.
...and yes TGIF
Ginnie Hart: We'll never forget that day...especially since I was supposed to be in the States by then. As they say, when you're given a lemon, make lemonade...and we did! It was probably the most beautiful day ever possible at Keukenhof!

Keukenhoffff!!! I remember that place! I wish we had more time there, my friend and I! I would love to go back! Nice one Ginn!!
Ginnie Hart: I loved it there, Yinks. It was even better than I had imagined! Thanks.
Indeed so Lady P. We are going out with some friends for a meal tonight so that will be nice. Love these jugs!
Ginnie Hart: That's a great way to start off the weekend, Bill! smile Have a good one.
I just called you Lady P!!! Sorry Ginnie. grin
Ginnie Hart: You can call me Lady P any time you want, Sir Bill, and I'll be honored every time! smile
Superb composition. Great détails and colours are very beautiful. Have a lovely day Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: It was a very colorful place to be, Antoine. Merci.
incredible saturation, impressive vivid colors, what a beautiful an delicate composition
Ginnie Hart: Grazie, Fabrizio. The Keukenhof is a lovely place on Planet Earth!
Very pretty, yet dramatic as well.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Sheila. It was fun to see how they added Russian touches everywhere.

TGIF couldn't agree more Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: It's been one of those weeks, Tony!
I love those nesting dolls, i must confess they do make charming coffee cup planters smile speaking of people who still read, i used to be a voracious reader, then i got writer's block and i also got reader's block, but i still love having my books around! smile
Ginnie Hart: I used to collect nesting dolls, Elaine, from everywhere I went. I even had a set of the Beatles. grin

With all the blogging and texting these days, I think a lot of people are getting away from reading, which is so sad. I happen to be one of them but am wanting to get back into some good books. I will be starting Dutch classes soon (on the 17th), however, and 'spect I won't have as much time as I want anymore!

Are you going to spend it riding your bike and practising speaking Dutch?
Ginnie Hart: Actually, Mike, you aren't far from the truth! I just got back from my appt. at school and found out I'm starting classes on Monday the 17th. It'll then be 41 intensive weeks! If I don't speak a lot of Dutch by the end of that time, I'll sit down somewhere and cry!
I love the colors here Ginnie. have a good weekend as well, see you on Monday
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Chantal. We just found out about another big garden here in Holland: Arcen. I bet you're familiar with it, too? We hope to go one day soon:

yeah, weekends ROCK
Ginnie Hart: Even though I'm retired, they still rock, JIM. Isn't that weird? I'm sure it's because Astrid is off and everything has a different pace. I love it.
Lovely, colorful, peaceful... makes me want to jump in... have a breakfast in a garden listening to birds... feel the sun on my skin... and wow... breath, yes...
Have a great week-end Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: You would love this place, Flo, on a sunny day. Let's all jump in! I like that thought. Merci.

Oh, a sweet pic from the Keukenhof! You could have met my Dutch vriendin, she was enthousiast this time: "Oh Philine, het was zó prachtig, het weer was goed, alles stond in volle bloei (veel verder dan verleden jaar), de bloemetjes geurden zo intensief. kortom, het was een sprookje."
Last year as we both were there, too, we were a bit disappointed- and I was afraid that the foreigners could perhaps gain a cliché-image from Netherlands: only tulpen, Delft china...
Ginnie Hart: I have since found out about another special garden, Philine, in south Holland: Arcen. Have you been there, I wonder? Astrid and I will make sure we go before the summer is over! Thanks, as always, for your comment.

Very pretty and bright. Perfect! I am off the weekend and plan to get some sleep!
Ginnie Hart: Sometimes sleep is what we need more than anything else, Mary, so I wish for you a lot of it! Thanks.

Aaahhhhhh pansies in Babushka decorated mugs!! How very 'keukenhof' and ow very Dutch, not!! Hahahaha!!!!
Love the picture though!!
Ginnie Hart: Astrid says there is a different country theme every year...and this year it was Russia. Apparently last year it was the USA. smile It was so fun, Marion...even better than I expectd. We couldn't have picked a more beautiful day! Thanks.

Oh and Arcen not only has a gorgeous garden, but a nice Castle to go with it Ginnie!! I can recommend both!
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Marion. That's what I hear, so we will definitely make the trip before summer is finished! So glad for your recommendation. Thanks.

Wow...what a nice image...great mood...one of a lovely summer afternoon.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Sidney. I guess spring is very close to summer these days. smile
What an attractive image Ginnie they are lovely little jugs. I have often fancied one of the coach holidays from the U.K.to Keukenhof but it is probably something we won't get round to doing I suppose.
Ginnie Hart: If you every get around to it, Brian, PLEASE let us know and we'll show you around!

Saturday off work, so a weekend to enjoy which is a rare treat. Feet up, coffee brewing, I feel some writing coming on. Have a great weekend, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Oh boy. Give him an inch and he'll take a mile. grin Enjoy every minute of it, Paul.

Very appealing still life, Ginnie - enjoy your weekend!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks a million, Tom.
Good weekend Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
What a delightful way to plant flowers! Love how bright & happy this is, Ginnie, very nice. This weekend will be very enjoyable for me; celebrating Mother's Day with my daughters on Sunday. Wishing you a good one, too!
Ginnie Hart: OMG, Beverly. I forgot all about Mother's Day. Thanks for the reminder!!!
Love these jugs Ginnie. So bright and cheerful. My daughter used to have a set of the nesting dolls but sadly they are no longer around.
Ginnie Hart: I sold my nesting-doll collection before I moved here to Holland, Janet. They are so fun. I even had a Beatles' set. smile Thanks.

Hartelijk bedankt voor het linkje en het lief mailtje! Oh yes, Nederland is as well a country of wonderful gardens as England, - I very recommend the 'Open tuinen dagen' in Amsterdam we visited the last year, the 'Castle Twickel'/Delden gardens, the 'Castle De Wiersse' Gardens, the gardens of the designer Piet Oudolf ...
Ginnie Hart: Beetje bij beetje, lieve Philine, we will see all the gardens around. That's our goal. And with you in the wings helping us, we can't possibly lose. smile Hartstikke bedankt. BTW, I start my Dutch language course on Mandag, 17th Mei!
wonderful colourful shot Ginnie, enjoy your weekend
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Derek, and I will! smile
