Putting Faces to Names: Stratford Meet-Up 2/2

As they say, the proof is in the pudding!
There were 19 of us in all:  15 Shutterchancers and 4 brave spouses.
(see yesterday's post if you missed the first set)

Top row, left to right:
Mike/Blackdog (at 6'4")
Linda w/ hubbie Steve and Mick/Murphys w/
wife Jeanie (alas, no face)
Ron/Mully w/ wife Joanie
Les/Occasional Images, Mick/Murphys, Chris/Tiff & Bill/Yellowbear

Bottom row, left to right:
The Three Stooges in Henley on Arden:  Chad, Bill/Yellowbear & Chris/Tiff
Chad with Maureen (Brian's wife)
Mick/Murphys & Ingrid/Anniedog (with cameras snapping)
Chris/Tiff & Brian/Brianaw

If you counted, there's one missing, who is Ellie.  She was there but asked for internet privacy.

I think we'd all agree:  we'd do it again in a New York minute!
Maybe next time YOU can be there!

looks like fun Ginnie, I wonder what the collective term for the group is? A snap of photographers? A flutter of snappers? smile
Ginnie Hart: Would it be SC Photogs? smile It really WAS fun, Spark. Thanks.
I wouldn't fancy meeting this lot in a dark alley late at night. A good way of showing the world though.

Always eager to learn a new idiom, I had to look up a New York Minute and found this:-

"A reference to the hectic pace that New York citizens live their lives. The term may have originated in Texas in the late 1960's, with people saying a New Yorker does in an instant what a Texan would do in a whole minute."

I'm not sure how this translates to the UK, perhaps "A London Minute" as referred to by the laid back Yorkshire folk.
Ginnie Hart: We often say a NY minute in the States, Les, when we express eagerness to do something. It's fun to see how idioms come about. So glad YOU were there and we got to meet you. Thank you again for coming.
Well it would have been great to meet you all, next time maybe
Ginnie Hart: Next time, indeed, Derek. We'll hold you to it! smile

I'd be there in a New York minute if I could having been around here long enough to have a history amongst you all. Really great seeing you all.
Ginnie Hart: You do have the history, Mary, so maybe next time you can join us!!! That would be very nice.

The two collages do say it all, THE MOST EXCELLENT company, GREAT laughter, WONDERFUL weather, FABULOUS memories......(grin free train-ride)
I know it is fun to see the person behind the pictures, now we can see them in action too....and I always have a big grin on my face....what is it that takes the picture...a Canon or a Nikon...gringrin
I would do it again in a New York Minute....My Dutch Minutes take too long HA HA HA.
It was FUN....thanks for these two wonderful collages MLS.
Ginnie Hart: Those Canon and Nikon wars will never end, I'm afraid, MLMA. But how fun, regardless. grin You know this was so fun to do...these collages. Memories to last a lifetime. I'm so glad we were there!
These are great pictures of what looks like a really fun time.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Mark. Pictures most often do not lie. smile
Thanks for this Ginnie. Great fun, great collages.
For Astrid - if all those cameras were Canon or Nikon I should have been there. my cameras are all Olympus!
Ginnie Hart: You are so welcome, Sheila. It was so fun. Next time, please bring all your Olympuses...just so we can meet you, too! smile

Yes, a nice collage and lovely memory for you all- and a 3x Hurrah!!! for Tracy, the best hostess and vriendin who gave heel prachtige verwendagen in England to you both! Did Chris (bottom right) let grow a little rat-, sorry, pony-tail at his head? - Mike looks "cool" (my pupils would have said)! A really likeable company of passionate photographers!
"A New York minute"- I never knew this expression- and the engl. 'spouse' reminds of our German 'Gpsusi', 'Gspons' = schat, geliefde...
Ginnie Hart: HA! I see the 'ponytail' you see on Chris. Didn't catch that before, Philine. smile And yes, Mike is 'cool.' It really was a delightful time.
It's good to see the faces behind the names!
Ginnie Hart: I totally agree, Tom! smile

You guys had fun, didn't ya?

I like it!
Ginnie Hart: We had sun all 5 days we were in England, Nadiuska. I think that was a record! grin And yes, we really did have fun. Thanks. smile

Where's all the young guys? I thought bloggers were supposed to be mere striplings - I guess it could be that the more mature are also more sociable!
Ginnie Hart: You're the first one who has mentioned our age, George, which has surprised me...because, well, it's clear most of us are old blokes! grin Maybe that IS why we all seem to get along so well!?! Nice thought. smile

Now I have seen the blackdog, I will watch what I comment on his blog smile Did someone take a good picture of you next to him?

A great postcard for those who have been there and for the rest to learn some faces.
Ginnie Hart: I don't know of any picture taken of me next to Mike, Louis, no. But I was thankful I at least got this one. He really IS tall! smile Thanks for your kind words, as always.
How come we was NOT INVITED? sad
Ginnie Hart: You WERE invited, S&S, along with everyone else...through my posts. So sorry you never saw them. sad

This was a similar meet-up as far as numbers are concerned, but I was the only person who was at both, so two entirely different groups of people. Most interesting!
Hope you made your flight Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Mick. We woke up this morning (Saturday) to a "35-minutes late" message online, so it appears we're one of the lucky flights. I'm glad we're flying west, away from the ash stream!
I surely hope I can be next time!
Ginnie Hart: I do, too, Jen!!!! smile
