Putting Faces to Names: Stratford Meet-Up 1/2

As they say, the proof is in the pudding!
There were 19 of us in all:  15 Shutterchancers and 4 brave spouses.

Since it was OUR honeymoon (HA!), Astrid/Picturit and I take center stage here.
Then, from the top left around:  Tracy/Lurch, Richard/Trimage, Ingrid/Anniedog, Linda (with hubbie Steve), Mick/Murphys, Les/Occasional Images, and Chris/Tiff.

(the rest tomorrow, of course)

How lovely smile I do so wish I could have made it there, you all look like you are having a great time smile
Ginnie Hart: It was a grand time, Cherie. It really was. I just wish I had been able to talk to everyone a bit more!
No motley crew here, Ginnie. It's wonderful to see the faces that go with the names.
Ginnie Hart: I so totally agree, Mary. I love meet-ups! This is my second SC meet-up, with as many people but all different from the first time 3 years ago in Milton Keynes!
Now this is great to put all these faces to familiar names. Wonderful portraits Ginnie, really fantastic, nice meeting everyone.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, John. It's not the same to meet them in real life! grin It's BETTER.

Look at you and Astrid - could you be any happier? I don't think so. Love the way you framed the others. I was with you in spirit and I just KNOW you had a great time.
Ginnie Hart: No, I don't think we could be any happier, Martie! smile We did have such a great time together. Tomorrow you'll see the rest of us. Thanks.

Tracy posted a whole lot more on FB. Great time you all had it looks like. How long were you there?
Ginnie Hart: I found out that Tracy and you were on FB together, Maria. How fun. She does more there than SC right now, I know. Glad you saw her pics. We were in Stratford only for 4-5 hours. The 6 of us Musketeers and Stooges had met in Henley on Arden at 10 a.m. (7 miles north of the city, I think), for 3 hours. It was a longer day for us, but toally worth every minute. Astrid and I were at Tracy's for 5 days, Thursday - Monday! We had a fabulous time together, of course! She's the hostess with the mostest, as we say. smile

We just had a GREAT time meeting all of these wonderful people, I know a few hours is to short time to talk to everybody.
Meeting the Three Stooges in Henley, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henley-in-Arden and ending up with meeting the Mayor, have free refreshments, free ride to Stratford..... that was a good start of the meet-up.
We had a great Honeymoon, Tracy is a perfect host and a very dear friend.
This is a beautiful collage that shows how much fun we had.....
I love the part of the brave spouses....I know that they NOW understand what SC is all about....tonguetonguegringrin......
Ginnie Hart: If we did it over again, I would spend more time talking to people (like you did) and less time taking pictures, MLMA. Sigh. It was way too short...but it was definitely better than nothing. We have such good memories to take with us for the rest of our lives. Thank you for being next to me on this wonderful, joyous journey.

Some of them actually look better than I thought they will grin grin

When I saw first pictures of the gathering of clans, that was my first thought. How different the group was from the previous open meet in UK.
Ginnie Hart: I love it when that happens, Louis...when we're pleasantly surprised! grin It also helps to not be static. HA!

And yes, since I was the only one present at both SC meet-ups thus far, I can tell you it was totally different from the one in Milton Keynes 3 years ago, even though with approximately the same number of people. I wonder how diffewrent the next one will be??

I don't normally like collages but I can't say much about this one! It actually works really well. It was a great day and as everyone says, nice to put names to faces and meet up with old friends.
Ingrid
Ginnie Hart: I thought of you the entire time I made this, Ingrid, because I know your feeling about collages. smile Sometimes they do make sense, so I'm glad you accept this one...and hopefully the one tomorrow (a bit more collage-y). It was such a delight to meet you and Mike, even though I spent more time with you. Thank you for coming!
I guess you did have a splendid time sharing with SC members. Yeepee ! smile))
Ginnie Hart: It was definitely a splendid time, Flo! Thanks. smile
You have put this collage together so well Ginnie, You and Astrid look so happy and after meeting you both, you are sooo... meant to be together smile Look forward to tomorrows collection.smile

Ginnie Hart: Thanks a million, Nadiuska. It was such a great time together. And as I just told Linda, this is a picnik.com collage, so I can't take full credit for it. But thanks anyway. smile

Awwwwwww, what a lovely, lovely collage of friends here. And you guys being the center of it all makes very much sense to me.

This is one time when we bloggers can really say "thank you for sharing your pictures with us". I'd rather have been there, but I'm delighted that it all went to plan for you and Astrid...

Any more planned? It would be a great reason to travel!
Ginnie Hart: It is a great reason to travel, Charles, when you can meet up with fellow bloggers. Don't know when the next group meet-up will be but I will be meeting a fellow blogger for the first time in Atlanta next week. I look forward to it.

A fine collection Ginnie, you even managed my least worse side. I do like the composition with Linda and Steve forming a counter-point to you and Astrid surrounded by us poor mortals.

It was a grand day putting names to faces and I would certainly look forward to more of the same.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind Les. It really was a great time for all of us, I do believe!
Thanks for not showing my bald patch Ginnie.
