A Carnival Interruption...

Once in a blue moon
the surprise is so unexpected
all you can do is howl.

Eleven days after our wedding ceremony,
4 days after submitting my application...
MY RESIDENCE PERMIT WAS GRANTED!
I have been given permission to stay in the Netherlands till February 12, 2011,
before filing for a five-year extension.

My faith was unswerving; I believed it would happen.
But this soon??? NOOIT. NEVER.

Rejoice with me/us. You were in the grandstands rooting!

congratulations on your news, i guess you are over the moon, great image as well. Its amazing how quick they have got back to you on this.
Ginnie Hart: Over the moon is an understatement, Derek! We still have our jaws on the floor. We figure they made the decision in one day and then sent it on to us. Unbelievable.
CONGRATS to you...I'm sure that is a relief! Great photo too!
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Heather...a GREAT relief. Thanks!
smile smile smile smile

I am so pleased for you both

No need to say that I am so happy, so thrilled, so hyper, so......erm.....
Last night, I saw almost every hour on the clock, could not sleep of so many emotions in one time again.
You had more faith than I had (first see than believe)....and yes, you were right.
A fabulous picture BTW.
Een dikke kus.
Ginnie Hart: I love that I am the one who can help you trust in The System again, Astrid. We are so very lucky. Thank you for being with me in this Journey of trust and faith!

Woua. Superb. Light and colours are very beautiful. Have a lovely day Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Merci, dear Antoine. It's a great Friday!
Joy, joy, joy. I am so pleased for you both. I do like the blue you have introduced in this image Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Joy indeed, Chad. This pewter stand holds a blue orb, so what you see is what it is. It's one of the things I saved and brought with me from Atlanta.

Oh, gefeliciteerd, Ginnie! Een mooier nieuws kon niet zijn! I had always the faith that the resident permit would have been granted to you, but I didn't expect that you so quickly would get informed! De goede Nederlanders! En nu wens ik jullie een heel fijne weekeind tesamen!
Ginnie Hart: I had faith, too, Philine, but it was so much faster than I would have ever believed! Ja. De goede Nederlanders! We are taking the train to Groningen tomorrow to do a nice photo hunt. smile Bedankt.

Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Bosse.
Muchas Felicidades Ginnie por lo que estoy leyendo en el comentario de tu foto es una gran noticia para ti y me alegro por ello.
Esta foto me encanta y dice mucho de lo que sientes en estos momentos, deseo que seas muy feliz.

Besos!!
Ginnie Hart: You are such a sweetheart, MA. Muchas gracia!
Another favorite of mine of yours Ginnie. Just love the backlighting, contrasts and details. Great use of selective coloring and the sphere is so fascinating, excellent composition.
Ginnie Hart: You're such a sweetheart, John. Thank you kindly. Actually, there's no selective coloring here...just the B&W/sepia through the Multiply layer which retains the color of the orb. The stand itself is pewter, so it works well to look like selective coloring.

crystal sharp...love this, i feel i can almost touch it!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, David. It's palpable to me, too. smile
Congratulations Ginnie! I really like this shot. It's the kind of sculpture I would like to own - the howling wolves have been created perfectly
Ginnie Hart: I always identified with the lone wolf howling at the moon, Pam, so it became my animal guide. When I saw this object years ago, it had my name written all over it. smile Thanks.

A little late Ginnie, I'm afraid, but I'd like to add my congratulations.

It's great to see the Dutch Civil Service working so quickly. Maybe someone there is a fan of your blog.

Nice shot of the blue moon too!
Ginnie Hart: You are so kind, George. We are shocked, to say the least...but very happy! Thanks for your encouragement.
Great composition, I love this one.
Ginnie Hart: That means a lot, Val├ęrie. Merci.
