On a Clear Day

...you can see anything!

And if you go to
Picturit, you can see what she saw.

(Sadly, her left arm is now fractured and in a sling after falling on the icy road with her bike a week ago!
Today we will find out if she also broke her wrist.)

I hope she's ok! I'd love to have a travel/photography buddy with me, it almost gives you courage to venture out and take that first step through the door.
Ginnie Hart: We have loved our photo hunts for the past 2+ years, Mia. We feel very lucky about enjoying the same things. We're getting ready to go back to the hospital for x-rays of her wrist. We'll give an update when we return. Thanks.
great photo, Ginnie! I love the tones here. Also, I hope she is ok!!
Ginnie Hart: YAAAAAAAAAAAY! She did NOT break her wrist. But we think there might be an internal infection at the elbow site, since there is still swelling and lots of radiating warmth. So, as I speak, she is now at the doctor's. Sigh. But thanks for your comment and concern, Charles.
Super shot ant I love the processing. She looks like she is about 30. Poor youngster with broken bones.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Michael. Astrid LOVED your comment about her age. She DOES look like she could be in her 30's, even though she's 55. Nor would she mind my telling you that. Thankfully, her wrist is NOT broken.
Can't believe a broken wrist too. Hopefully, everything will be ok. Great shot, she looks like a pro.
Ginnie Hart: Good news, John...her wrist is NOT broken. And as far as I'm concerned, she's a Pro in just about everything she does. Thanks. smile

Great stuff, Ginnie!

Completes the picture!
Ginnie Hart: Astrid always completes my picture, Ray. grin Thanks.
Looks like you guys had fun. I never did figure out what those plants/weeds were called. Hopefully she will have a smooth recovery, bones fractures sure do take awhile to mend.
Ginnie Hart: I'll have to ask her if she knows what they're called, Brian. They look like thistles to me. Thankfully, she did NOT break her wrist. It appears the elbow fracture is healing well, which is why they only put her into a soft cast. But we have to figure out if she has an internal infection...(sigh)...because of too much swelling and pain apart from the fracture.
What fun to see your two shots. Photo walk-abouts are always fun with a partner. Hope Astrid's elbow and wrist mend well.
Ginnie Hart: We LOVE our photo hunts together, John...something we have done from the very beginning of meeting up. Thankfully, Astrid's wrist is NOT broken!

Great snap, as always. Hope she feels better soon and that she mends quickly.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Maria. Her wrist is NOT broken, for which we're thankful. Now we just have to make sure the elbow heals quickly!

l hope she is ok ginnie, great shot
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Tony. That means a lot to us both. The good news is that her wrist is NOT broken.
Well this is a view in a view, shame about Astrid, hope she is healed soon
Ginnie Hart: We love views of a view, Derek. smile It's not the first time or the last time, for sure! We are happy to say Astrid's wrist is NOT broken. Good news.

With a big smile I am looking at this picture, it was already a kind of miracle I did not fall and break my neck going down to capture the 'flower'
Thank you for being my buddy in so many ways, I don't take that for granted.
It is a joy and delight to be with you on photo hunts.
Posting this way is s much fun, we will do some more in future.
I love the picture, it is strange to see myself like that and @ Michael.....grin THANKS for your compliment....30...erm...tongue
Ginnie Hart: Oh yes. How many times did I tell you "DOE VOORZICHTIG!" as you walked down the bank to that spot. HA! You WERE careful. I love our photo hunts. I wish us many more in the days and years to come. And thank God your wrist is NOT broken...and you're NOT 30. grin
est pris qui croyait prendre!!!
Ginnie Hart: A picture within a picture, O-P. I love it. smile
Portrait of the artist! Hope all goes well at the hospital today.
Ginnie Hart: The good news, Bill, is that her wrist is NOT broken. She's at the doctor now, however, to see if she has an internal infection near the elbow fracture. There's still too much swelling and pain! We'll find out.

She looks like a real pro Ginnie. Let's hope her wrist is still in one piece - poor thing!
Ginnie Hart: She IS a real pro, Chris, in many things and on many levels! grin And her wrist is NOT broken. Thank God.
Great capture Ginnie. I hope that she'll recover soonest! I cross my fingers for today's visit at the hospital.
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Richard. Her wrist is NOT broken, so we are very happy campers!!!
What a great picture of Astrid. I am so sorry to learn of her misfortune and hope the wrist is ok.
Ginnie Hart: I love taking pictures of her taking pictures, Chad. i have one from almost all our photo hunts. So fun. And the good news is that her wrist is NOT broken!
Nice composition
Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, Chantal.

I knewbefore I read your intro: This must be Lief-Astrid, ja, ze ziet zoals een jonge vrouw eruit! A nice snapshot (with some procession afterwards) and a nice teamwork- but sad news- what a misfortune!- but I hope all bones are growing well together till...! Mijn beste wensen voor jullie beiden! We hebben weer veel sneeuw hier en de straatjes en wegen zijn erg glad- heel voorzichtig zijn!
Ginnie Hart: Yes, dear Astrid...a very young-looking vrouw! I love it. smile Thankfully, her wrist is NOT broken, Philine. Now we just have to make sure her elbow heals quickly for the days ahead. smile
The snapper snapped - shame about the arm, hope all is well!
Ginnie Hart: We love snapping each other, Tom. Sometimes the photographer never sees photos of him/herself because they're the ones always behind the camera. Thanks for your wishes. The good news is that her wrist is NOT broken.
lovely shot Ginnie, hope Astrid is surviving ok on your cooking.
Ginnie Hart: HA! She is so glad she doesn't have to cook anymore, Mick, that I think I could get away with murder in what I put before her to eat. So far so good. grin

You have captured Astrid in typical photographer pose - crouched down, intent on her task, oblivious to the world! Great shot Ginnie, and the tones are beautiful.
Ingrid
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Ingrid. She has a much better pose than I will ever have...because she has better knees, for one thing. grin
Great .... richard
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Richard.

Ginnie Hart: It was one of our rare sunshiny days, Roland. Cold but bright. Merci.
Wonderful together shot. I hope her wrist is not broken as well. I for one, will understand the frustration.
Ginnie Hart: Good news, Mary: her wrist is NOT broken. But she may have an internal infection near the elbow break because of continued swelling and pain. She's checking on that now at the doctor's. Thanks for your care. We know you understand these things!
Well captured Ginnie. Sorry to here about the accident Poor Astrid.
Ginnie Hart: The good news is that her wrist is NOT broken, Janet. Thanks for your care and concern.

Great Photo Ginnie, shame about it being the left arm for photo shots on the 5/2/10
Ginnie Hart: We found out her wrist is NOT broken, Vintage. Since there are times when she is not in her soft cast or sling, I'm guessing by 5/2/10 she'll be fine for pictures without the get-up. That's our plan. If not, we'll always be reminded of what happened. smile Thanks.

Oh dear! Sorry to hear that! the icy roads stopped me from riding my bike during the icy weather (any excuse wink) She looks to be "proper" photographer here!

She could've slipped down this slope, but didn't. I like it when photographers trap photographers. Her shot is a likey to me.
Ginnie Hart: You wouldn't believe how many times I said "DOE VOORZICHTIG" as she walked down the bank, Louis! She WAS careful. And now we know her wrist is NOT broken, thankfully. We both love taking pictures of each other on our photo hunts. Thanks for your very kind comment.
A nice winter shot. I saw the teasel head allright!
Ginnie Hart: Now we know what it's called! Thanks for that, Wim. smile
Well captured in these lovely tones Ginnie...and I did see the results of Astrids photo hunt.
Ginnie Hart: It's always fun when we go out together with our cameras, Ron. smile Thanks.

Ginnie Hart: The good news is that the wrist is not broken. Now we just need to be patient for healing. Thanks, Paul.
Great shot Ginnie, I really love the tones you use. Pleased to hear Astrid's wrist is not broken as well. smile

We still have chilly weather but gray and a bit boring in the same time. I would love to have some sun.
I hope Astrid's feeling better now. About the age thing I was thinking 30-35 not that it matter but anyway ;-)
Have a nice day!
Ginnie Hart: Age is such a funny thing, isn't it, Frida. smile We really ARE as young as we feel, most of the time. As alweays, thanks for your comments, which bring lots of sunshine to me.
It's good to see the photographer and the resulting photo together Ginnie, I like the professional stance of Astrid here. Also good news she hasn't broken her wrist.
Ginnie Hart: Astrid definitely has a professional stance, Brian. That's probably why I like taking pictures of her. smile Thanks for your wishes re her health! It means the world to both of us.

Just checked out what she saw on her camera too. Great idea to connect the two blogs together for this shot! Hope she gets better soon.
Ginnie Hart: It'll happen again, Andy, since we do enjoy our photo hunts together. Thanks for your best wishes on her behalf.
Great shot, it's so detailed grin
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Laura. It was such a bright day for details! smile
Poor Astrid, I hope she gets better soon. You know what they say about photographers not getting ill - just going a bit out-of-focus!

It's a really nice picture of her - and such a good idea to give us the link to that super photograph
Ginnie Hart: That's a good way to put it, George...Astrid being a bit out of focus. I agree. smile Since we have done photo hunts from the very beginning, over 2 years, we do enjoy when we can post our photos simultaneously. Thanks.
oh nooo. i'm sorry that your friend broke her arm riding on the ice!
i hope she gets better soon.

meanwhile, great photo, ginnie. i think photographers understand other photographers, and it shows in their pictures!
Ginnie Hart: At least her wrist isn't broken, Sera, and that's the good news! Thanks for your concern. And yes, we photographers do seem to understand each other quite well, don't we. smile
Time and love heal all wounds, Astrid... I believe you have both in abundance. Heal well...
Ginnie Hart: I will tell her your kind words, Alan. That's very special. Thank you.
Beautiful shot!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Andrei.
Me gusta la textura que le has dado a la toma. Una imagen con una luz excelente.

Glad she didn't break her wrist grin
Ginnie Hart: So am I, Charles. It has made all the difference in the world. In fact, by now she seems to really be on the mend. She turned a corner yesterday (Tuesday), thank God.

Very nice processing. I like the colors a lot. Nicely muted.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Hoi.
The detail here is crystal clear, Ginnie, and with the soft colors it is indeed captivating to look at.

Hope Astrid will have a speedy recovery and in future will not be riding her bicycle on icy roads.
Ginnie Hart: The thing is, she's so carteful on icy roads, Beverly. The problem that morning is that the temps were above freezing and no one saw the danger. There were more accidents that day than probably the entire winter put together. Anyway, she turned the corner yesterday (Tuesday) for the better, so I think she's on the mend, thankfully.
oh that is so sad she is hurt!
Ginnie Hart: She appears to be on the mend by now, Heather, and that's the good news. Thank you.

Not to blame you, Ginnie, but to think how fourunate she'll have you to take care of her. smile

(Now you have to cook for her without excuses... smile Say Hi Astrid and whish her well for me)
Ginnie Hart: HA! Well, her mind HAS been on other things these days, Ti, to be sure. grin I will be sure to say HI to her. She is on the mend by now with only a bit of pain and discomfort left. But I'm pleased by her recovery!
I'm loving this duet (couldn't find a better word to describe how I feel) and I wish the two of you give us more. Its great to see a photographer in action and then the photo itself. Great Shot - bravo!
Ginnie Hart: Duet. I like that, Thomas. I'll remember it for when we do it again. Thanks. smile
