Gelukkig Nieuwjaar (Happy New Year)

This is the same De Hoop (Hope) windmill from my Christmas post,
taken a week before the snowstorm hit Holland.

As we look to the new year, let us have Hope for our World, one person/place at a time!

I have had to come back here again. This image is very therapeutic. Big Likey for me smile
Ginnie Hart: You're so very kind, SAVO. Windmills have that effect on me, too! Thank you.
I hope the winds that blow your way are pleasant ones...
Ginnie Hart: I like that thought, Larry...especially since we get a lot of wind here in Holland! grin
happy new year year Ginniesmile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir. And to you also.
A very pleasant scene Ginnie, it looks just a great place to be, maybe one day. Have a good New Year.

Ginnie Hart: Actually, Laura, it is snowing here in Holland right now as I write this. So we will have another white day, I see. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Gelukkig Nieuwjaar.
never let holland lose its soul.
there are already too many places in the world without one.
Ginnie Hart: You are so right, Seraphine. If I have anything to do with it, I'll keep Soul around for a long time! smile Many thanks!
Stunning Image Ginnie! Hope you had a beautiful New Year!

I'm glad to see it here in a bigger format from In Soul. It says the best of human and nature interacting.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear sister. Can you imagine it in real life??!! smile
A well balanced shot Ginnie. I love windmills. In Cornwall we have several wind farms but they are hideous white blobs on the horizon. I would much prefer to see windmills like these instead.
Ginnie Hart: This kind of windmill is my favorite, Pamela, like in Spain, too. smile Thanks.

Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Thomas. The best to you in 2010!
A nicely balanced composition Ginny. It's amazing how a change of weather can change the character of a picture.

I'd like to add my best wishes to you and Astrid. And thank you for the good wishes that you left me.

A good 2010 to Everyone.
Ginnie Hart: Yesterday we were taking a walk here again but this time there was a dusting of snow on the ground after the first melting. And it was sunshiny with blue skies. The many faces/moods of Holland, of course! Thank you for your best wishes to Astrid and me. The same to you.

I was wondering why there was no snowsmile The water looks so still.
Ginnie Hart: It snowed, it melted, and then it snowed again, Sherri. I have a feeling we'll get that all season. And this week it'll be below freezing every day.

Stunning and beautiful picture. Windmills turn by the power of the wind, so perhaps this was an unconscious message saying that you & Astrid have much wind on your back carrying you into 2010 with much hope, love and happiness.
Happy New Year again, Bob K
Ginnie Hart: Holland has a lot of wind every day, Bob, and the good news is that sometimes it IS at our back! When it's not, we promise to meet the challenges head-on. Thanks for standing with us in this Journey called Life.
