Vrolijke Kerstmis (Merry Christmas)

This is De Hoop (HOPE) windmill here in my new Holland city,
taken during last Sunday's snow storm.

What better message for the world right now:  Hope midst the storms of life!

For all who celebrate Kerstmis (Christmas), I wish you a good one, filled with Hope!

Beautiful image, Ginnie.

Merry Christmas to you, too.

December 25 is just another work day in Thailand.
Ginnie Hart: I know this is a day celebrated (or not) in different ways all over the world, Ray. I hope you have a great day in whatever way you celebrate it (or not).

Oh, dit is een wondermooie en vredezame winter- sneeuw-foto- en de molen, vooral de Hoop, is zo'n heerlijk en belangrijk symbool, niet alleen voor Nederlanders! "Zolang er leven is, is er hoop." (Nederlandse Spreekwoord)
I wish you a wonderful day, a bit snow is allover still to be seen- just an occasion to have a walk after the good meal. "Hoop" must be a favourite name of mills, I saw one in Hardewijk near the IJsselmeer- and I found this also so lovely and encouraging then, too!
Ginnie Hart: We have already seen snow fall this morning here in Holland, Philine. We will go take a walk later. It is a calm, peaceful day for us, with a dinner reservation later at a nearby restaurant, our gift to each other. Last night Jeroen was here for our Christmas meal. That was special. I wish for you a delightful day!

Lieve schat, een vrolijke Kerstmis voor jou ook en ik hoop dat er nog veel zullen volgen.
'Hoop' is the perfect name for this windmill, one of the many landmarks we have in Gorinchem.
A wonderful picture, I am so pleased it turned out so great in that snowstorm we had.

Ginnie Hart: Ik hoop ook dat er nog veel zullen volgen, Astrid. I think we will have many more to come. Ontzettend bedankt.

A very happy Christmas to you and Lady P. This is a lovely picture too.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Bill. Lady P and I have enjoyed watching some snow fall this morning. It's a lovely, quiet day for us. We celebrated with her son last evening. May you have a good day, too.

Ginnie what a fabulous photo and thought...!

We are enjoying our tropical mountains after having received December in cold and wet Georgia.

We finally found a home so we'll send you photos soon. "My" sculptures look super in it.

Big hug and a kiss and keep having a wonderful Christmas season and hope 2010 is better even than your best year ever...!

Un beso y un abrazo! D&G
Ginnie Hart: Ohhhhh, David and Gail. THANK YOU. Muchisimas gracias! I love that you have found your new home and I will LOVE seeing pictures of it. Have a great holiday and stay warm. smile Abrazos y besos!

"a dinner reservation later at a nearby restaurant" - oh, a wonderful prospect- whilst I'm standing in the kitchen to observe the pork roast..., but it is a dear work for the family- the most restaurants are closed today in our country, but I remember that it is a special custom in Netherlands to go out eating at Christmas day! Tomorrow I'll go to the opera and later on I want to watch the beautiful film and love story "Bright Star" in the cinema!
Ginnie Hart: Astrid says it is NOT a custom to go out and eat in Holland, Philine, and this is her first time in 27 years to do so. We just decided to have it be our gift to eat other at a restaurant that has good memories for us. We had fish for our Christmas meal with Jeroen last night and it was a treat for all of us. For some reason, it's hard to find fish in the grocery stores around here...one of my biggest shocks thus far. smile Enjoy your pork roast!

Ginnie Hart: Ohhhh, thank you, JIM! We are so looking forward to a relaxing dinner without having to do any of the work. Since we aren't with any friends/relatives the rest of the weekend, it seemed like a great gift to give ourselves! Thanks for sharing our joy. I hope you are having a good, peaceful day....full of joy.
Merry Xmas to you both.

A beautiful white christmas for the 2 of you smile
Ginnie Hart: We stood in front of the window yesterday morning (on the 25th), Louis, and watched it snow. It was just for an hour or so but the timing was perfect. We did have a white Christmas, the first time here in Holland for about 30 years, Astrid says.
Merry Christmas to you too!
