photoblog image Morning Has Broken

Morning Has Broken

As the sun rises over the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia, the fog lifts.
And so lifts the long fog of this past year as I've prepared to move from here to there.

On December 4 I fly to the Netherlands to begin my new Home and Life with Astrid.
Morning has indeed broken, fresh from the Word!

Happy Thanksgiving week to all my American friends.
I'll see you next on the other side of the Big Pond.

Looks like a wonderful place. I love the feeling here of the fog. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Ginnie Hart: It is a great place, Brian. I was there with my kids over the Nov. 13th weekend. You, too, have a great Thanksgiving. Thank you.
A lovely, simple image. It sounds like you have much to be grateful for, my friend. smile
Ginnie Hart: "Gratitude is the memory of the heart," Larry, and YES, my heart is full of it. Thank you.

mmm, lovely fog shot, looks like it's in the mountains right before you get attacked by a bear lol just kidding.... have a good trip over!!!
Ginnie Hart: Actually, bears are in those mountains, Elaine, but we didn't see any while we were there a week ago. smile Thanks.

Simple yet effective image smile Ginnie .Soon the fog will rise, and everything begins anew
Ginnie Hart: You are so right, Bandoras. Everything will begin anew, indeed. I am so ready! Thanks.
Really like this type of shot Ginnie, seems ethereal and full of hidden life waiting for the sun to burn the mist off.

Have a good flight.
Ginnie Hart: Yours is a perfect description of this place, Les. Within minutes of this shot, the mist was indeed burned off. That's what I love about the mountains. Thanks.

Stunning image! The fog and mist create a mysterious effect. Your image has amazing detail, fade, glow, depth and a 3D effect to it as well. Perfect execution Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Once again, Stephan, you have made my day. Thank you. I have just Googled your name and this is what I came up with. Is this YOU? If so, I LOVE your work!

Een prachtige foto and I love the music with it, this picture says it all, the golden glow will appear soon and all will be brigh and sunny.
But than you know we will have fog here too.... winkas for thunderstorms, however we all know after all those storms, sun will be out again.
.......erm..... over here the bears are in the Zoo.... so we don't have to worry about them.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving week, doe voorzichtig KSK.
Ginnie Hart: I know so many people see fog and/or rain as a negative thing, Liefste, but you know me...I love them both. They both are so symbolic of cleansing the soul. I have a feeling some of my favorite photos in Holland will be of the fog. You know me well! This is a good time to be celebrating Thanksgiving, isn't it!!! smile

Ginnie Hart: Thanks a million, Bill. I will have a feel days away with dear friends south of the city...then back to my last week before leaving.
A sublime photograph Ginnie. I would certainly like to visit these mountains.
Ginnie Hart: It's one of Georgia's treasures, Chad, this side of the Smokey Mountains and the Appalachian Trail. Thanks.

I watched this with my Grandad many years ago.

Love the misty mornings mijn vriend. This is perfect.smilesmilesmile
Ginnie Hart: OMG, Tracy. I LOVED the YouTube. I watched the whole thing and smiled. How delightful. I had never seen those episodes. You made my day. grin You know that I'll see lots of fog where I'm going, Musketeer. I'll think I died and went to heaven...and not just because of the fog. smile

One gets a real sense of the atmosphere of a new day from the shot. The colours begin to wake from their slumbers and burst forth ;o)
Ginnie Hart: You've described it perfectly, Mike. The colors go to sleep at night and wake up in the morning. I love it. smile Thanks.
Wonderful Ginnie. Only eleven days left!
Ginnie Hart: And yes, WE'RE COUNTING! grin Merci, Richard.

beautiful capture of a mystique morning

Very nice capture. Have lovely a day. Antoine.
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Antoine. You, too. smile
This is so beautiful, Ginnie. I lived in a foggy city once and did not see it's beauty but when you see it only occasionally, it can be. This proves it.
Ginnie Hart: Since I've had to avoid the sun so much of my life, Mary (skin cancer rampant in the family), I have learned to thoroughly enjoy the alternative. I don't think I'll ever tire of it, which is good, because I'm going where there will be lots of it! You haven't seen the end of it, in other words. grin Thanks.

Ginnie Hart: You're right, Fabrizio. The mountains do have that fairyland feel to them. smile Grazie.

beautiful ginnie. there's just enough light to show some color, and the rest is deep, dark, mysterious.
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Seraphine. It was a magical moment for me before everyone else was yet awake/up! Thanks.

A beautiful, evocative image.

The combination of the mountains and your coming journey bring to mind these words:

"You haven't seen a tree until you've seen its shadow from the sky." ~ Amelia Earhart
Ginnie Hart: I just recently saw the "Amelia" movie, Linda, so that quote is even more special right now. Thank you for that!
Wow it really has Ginnie! Happy Thanksgiving and gobble gobble smile)
