When I made models of American race cars many years ago I used to wonder at the amount of advertising on them, and I could never get the transfers right ont he models. This takes me back, I recognise a couple of them the others seem quite exotic.
Ginnie Hart: Those decals got the best of all of us, Les, I'm sure. grin How fun to think back on that. Thanks.

great shot Ginnie! love all the colorful advertising! and p.s. thanks for the great comment smile
Ginnie Hart: Color is what this is all about, Elaine, as far as I'm concerned. For them, it's the money, I'm sure. smile Thanks and you're welcome. I was most sincere.

Aah! Coors!

I like this shot very much, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Ray. I almost didn't post it until I realized it's really a strategic part of NASCAR!
I've picked out my sticker. hehe smile Great colors.
Ginnie Hart: Uhhhhhhh...let me guess, Jen. grin Thanks.

Ginnie Hart: HA! You gave me a good chuckle today, Sherri. Thanks. smile

wink First of all I like your signature in the picture, this picture was a great one to 'hide' mine in it...
This is what it is all about..the more stickers the more money....
Great eye and I hope they give the 'washing-the-car-guy' a well deserved bonus, my tires never looked that clean grin
Ginnie Hart: You would have had a heyday with YOUR signature, Astrid. I can just picturit! And you are so right...the more stickers, the more money. I'm guessing some stickers are even worth more than others. It sure did look nice and clean. smile Ontzettend bedandkt, MLMA.

I even know Coors Light Pole grin

All these ads always signified professionalism to me - love them.
Ginnie Hart: Those professionals sure know how to make their money, Louis. Now we know who the winners are. Thanks and good to see you back!

So.. are these cars sponsored, then, Ginnie? wink I see a very small logo from a Ginnie Hart smile
Ginnie Hart: HA! Uhhhh....I think so, Alan! grin Thanks.
I ENJOY THE COLORS ! mmmm they need business partners i guess ? wink

beautiful Ginnie !
Ginnie Hart: I guess we all knew it cost a lot of money to run these races! Merci, Jean-Luc.

Great colour these car go so fast it would be hard to see the adds
Ginnie Hart: You're right, Vintage. I wonder what a good time-lapsed image would look like!

There's more ads than car Ginnie: very colourful though
Ginnie Hart: You're right, Chris...and all the primary colors!
It sure does look like this person is getting sponsored very well!
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Brian. It doesn't get more colorful than this.

Trouble is, people would have a hard time reading these as they tear past at the speed of light!
Ingrid
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Ingrid. This one was out in the midway, not even in the race!

I hope you are on a commission from all these guys ;o)
Ginnie Hart: HA! Wouldn't THAT be nice, Mike! smile I like the thought.
You even make a set of logo's look great! My son would say nice alloys. Really nice shot.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Linda. You're a sweetheart.
It is these race boys that rely a lot on sponsorship for their game. The team your showing has quite a few! Good one Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: It would be fun to get a line-up to compare the sponsors on different cars, Ron. Hmmmm. Now that's an idea. Thanks.

Lol at some comments- yes, the Mammon rules such a race- and the world at all- I know only the Swiss ad: Tissot! "Coors.." looks like Coca-Cola, and Coca-Cola resides in Atlanta as I heard?
Ginnie Hart: Oh yes, Philine. Atlanta is headquarters for Coca-Cola. I'm guessing they sponsor at least one of the cars?! Thanks.
Great colors and clarity. Also: it is very much about money.
Ginnie Hart: It really surprises me, Wim, that such races are even "allowed" (in good conscience), in light of any attempts to conserve gas. Seems totally wasteful, when you think of it in that regard!

Ahh ..that's racing ... fantastic crop Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: And to think I almost didn't include this image in my series, Klaus! I realized it's a crucial part of this sport. Danke.
I sometimes wonder if it is all these stickers on these cars that are actually holding them together Ginnie smile A really nice selection here but not many we are familiar with in the U.K.
Ginnie Hart: HA! You could be right, Brian, about these stickers holding the car together! smile What a fun idea. I'm not familiar with some of them myself, so you're not alone.
I couldn't figure out the framing color at first. The ads are so dominant I missed the color of the car.

Perhaps there's a lesson there that anyone who decorates anything - including themselves! - needs to consider.
Ginnie Hart: Your comment brings a chuckle, Linda, because I often miss the obvious when I focus on something else. Then it's a big DUH! I almost didn't include this image in my series because it seemed rather ho-hum. Then I realized it's a crucial part of NASCAR. Without it, there probably wouldn't BE a NASCAR?! Thanks, as always, for stopping by.
If it is anything like F1 they pay a fortune!
Ginnie Hart: I don't know, Bill, but it wouldn't surprise me!
I like the framing. I can just imagine how much they have to pay to put a small sticker on one of the cars...
I really like how you have captured the sense of the race without showing it in this series.
Ginnie Hart: I think we'd all gasp if we knew how much those stickers cost, Pernilla. Wouldn't we love to know! I did end up posting the actual race today (Thursday) just to say I did it. But one out of many tells you where my priorities were! Thanks!

Nice, did you try advertizing your blog on there? Not much space left though... smile
Ginnie Hart: Now THAT would have been an idea, Marc! Thanks for the smile. Merci.
