2000 Harley Davidson

Another image from the car show in town this past July.

Okay, this isn't a car and it isn't old but it was there, all souped-up.
(and yes, that's a triple self-portrait :D  )

Have a zoom-zoom weekend?

I really like your desaturated look...especially with all that chrome.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Clifford. All that chrome seemed to be what this bike was about! smile

well this only took ten minutes to load lol... nice reflections!! i don't like harleys tho, NOISE POLLUTION lol
Ginnie Hart: I have a question for you, Elaine: am I the only one on SC that takes forever to load for you? I'm talking to our administrators about the issue because you're not the only non-SC who has mentioned the problem. I'd like to get to the bottom of it! In the meantime, thanks for your patience! You're definitely right about the noise pollution. They scare the cr** out of me whenever they come up on me from behind! sad

Among your finest images, Ginnie. (My dad had a Harley when I was about 4)
Ginnie Hart: It always amazes me, Sherri, what images strike people the most. Thank you kindly for your words. You've made my day.

Visually stunning image, Ginnie.

Terrible motorcycles...but, the gal in the reflections looks like a quality item. [grin]

The owner has to be single from my point of view, it is NOT possible to have such a great, beautiful shiny bike and have a wife/husband to keep happy too...gringringrin.
I love your composition and this really is a 'shower'... erm... I just invent my own English words....
TGIF.... and yes I hope to have a zoom-zoom weekend, on my own 'bike'......wink
Have a great weekend yourself, lieve schat, IHVJ
Ginnie Hart: LOL, Astrid. You are probably right about the owner being single! That was probably true of most of the car owners there that day...I don't know. They're as bad as some of us with our cameras! smile Bedankt voor jouw woorden!

I see you shining Ginnie grin. From what I hear these are mean machines. These photo is quite stunning and very tempting to make one do something foolish like spending some money on one :p
Ginnie Hart: Some people just have to get these bikes out of their system before they can go on with their lives, SAVO. HA! Thanks.
oh! tu quittes les voitures et tu ralier les motos?
très jolie en tout cas
Ginnie Hart: I'm not sure my translator translated you right, O-P, but this is not mine, of course! It was the only bike at the car show and it was a beauty! Merci

Theese things cost thousands of bucks.. you could get a decent car for that price! Is that your reflection in the lights?
Ginnie Hart: It is indeed my reflection, Alan, 3 times. The bottom light has half of me. grin
Superb image of one of the true American Icons.
Ginnie Hart: Hogs to be proud of by those who have them, Bill!

One of my unfulfilled dreams was to own a Harley - shouldn't think its going to happen now ;o) I see you lurking in the chrome ;o) Have a good week-end Ginnie ;o)
Ginnie Hart: I'm tickled to no end that Ingrid just learned something new about you, Mike! grin

Lol at Mike - that's news to me! Rather glad he's decided against, even though they are very fine-looking machines. Nice way to get a self-portrait!
Ingrid
Ginnie Hart: This comment has tickled me to death, Ingrid, now that you have learned something new about Mike. grin I'm not sure I'd want my spouse to own one even though they are beautiful.!

Oh, una macchina, what a machine!- the hearts of men and some women might jump and throb! The glittering silvery look you have captured very well! Did you ever sit on a Harley Davidson- it must be a special feel of power! Oh, a "triple self-portrait"? I have to look at your pic once more! I see some wolkenluchten! We are enjoying Indian summerdays here in Europe!
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Philine...una macchina! No, I have never sat on one but I can imagine what it would feel like (similar to sitting on a horse's saddle?). All that power beneath one. WOW! Enjoy your Indian summer while you can! smile

Very Cool - Like the timing to ctahc the reflections of the clouds in the chrome work.
Ginnie Hart: It was a gorgeous day, Brian. The clouds were reflected in all the shiny, highly-polished cars!

Very nice shot Ginnie. I am a big fan of Harley and as a teenager, I used to dream of owning one some day. Currently I ride a Royal Enfield
Ginnie Hart: I guess these babies have been in the dreams of many, Navin, down through the years! smile Thanks.

I think of the wonderful film "Easy Rider" (some modester machines though)- do you like some music on the ears while sitting on and driving away (or better: after having fasten your seat belts flying away over the ocean to...)? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzpy0s8_VDw)
Ginnie Hart: Awwwww. What a sweet thought with that song in the background, Philine. You sure know how to make my day. smile

Wow it gets better and better ;-) This I would love to own....... Great image!
Ginnie Hart: That would be a lot of power for us to handle, Frida, right?!! smile Thanks.
I can see you twice Ginnie. Fine capture!
Ginnie Hart: The third one is just half of me in the bottom light, Richard. I got out my magnifying glass to make sure. grin Merci.
Nice picture with the reflexion, nice work with the portrait, I like the concept Is it you Mechanics week ?
Ginnie Hart: It's my Car Show week, Christophe...showing off what I saw at the one-day show here in town last July. It was a fun day.
Back to Harleys then Ginnie. The iconic machine certainly makes fo good photography.
Ginnie Hart: Those who love these beasts really love them, Chad, as you know. This one was a beauty! Thanks.

Ginnie Hart: I never even saw me till I uploaded this, Mariana. It's it funny how that happens! Thanks.
Great shot of a "hog" Ginnie, all the more so for being part rather than the whole.
Ginnie Hart: Those bikes sure know how to hog the show, Brian. grin Thanks.
Wow!!! esta es muy chula, me gustan todos esos reflejos! una foto estupenda!! Saludos
Ginnie Hart: Muchas gracias, MA. It's always fun to see beauties like this so well taken care of.

great looking chrome...
Ginnie Hart: I think that chrome is what keeps these bikes going strong, Tracey! grin Thanks.
Great shot Ginnie! Did you happen to get the owner's email? I'm sure they'd love to see this!
Ginnie Hart: No, Dawn, but I bet his name was on the yellow sheet of paper (which I do have a picture of)! smile Thanks.

Too much chrome for me Ginnie, wouldn't want to keep polishing it. My old bikes were all black to make it easier. A grand image though.
Ginnie Hart: It's kinda like the stainless steel appliances...too many finger prints, right?! Thanks, Les.

Fantastic framing. Love the shiny chrome.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Marcie. That chrome surely helps make this bike! smile

Now that is shiny! It's by the name you can trust, right?

Have a relaxing weekend.
Ginnie Hart: As far as most cyclists are concerned, Maria, this IS the name to trust. But I have no clue why! grin Thanks.
Superb shot and detail capture Ginnie. Wonder how many hours of spit and shine it took to get those reflections tongue tongue
Ginnie Hart: Only God knows, Fotografa! grin Thanks.
Superb shot! Not much into motorcycles but this picture is very nice. Love the refelctions in the chrome. Great self portraits!
Ginnie Hart: Motorcycles scare me, Pernilla, because of how dangerous they seem, but when I get past that, they really are beautiful...and powerful! Thanks.
A beautiful machine and I like the selfportraits. I drove an 1944 Harley once: quite an experience.
Ginnie Hart: Now THAT one was older than me, Wim, but not by much. grin Do they still build them like that, I wonder?!

super-cool-chrome-deluxe. I would not have the patience to clean and polish this! Knockout shot!
Ginnie Hart: Me neither, Rhys...at least not if I had to do it every day! Thanks.
Excellent shot. So many reflections! All the best, Dave.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks a million, Dave.

chrometastic...worth the load time!

nice shorts too, btw smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you David. I have been in communication with our administrator about the load time. You're not the only one who has complained. The ones who are complaining, however, are non-SCers, which is very confusing to me. I am not doing anything different from what I always do, so this is a puzzle to me.

Let's hope it can be fixed! In the meantime, thanks for your patience.

This here hawg is a beauty - could pull any trailer to the park.
Excellent picture.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Louis. I'm guessing it was the envy of many an eye that day.
Excellent how you have captured the sun and the skies as reflectoins in the bike...
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir!

Excellent shot. Look at that shine!
Ginnie Hart: I know, Kay. I think it was the envy of many people that day. Thanks. smile
What a pic! How do you do it, Ginnie? smile
Ginnie Hart: You tickle me to death, Larry. smile Thank you.
I've never ridden a motorcycle and don't want to ride a motorcycle, but if I HAD to ride a motorcycle, this would be it.

I know some people who would be drooling, here ;-)
Ginnie Hart: I know exactly what you mean, Linda. I had a Motobecane moped in Pasadena in the late 70s when the kids were little and loved it. But I remember when a man at church told me he didn't realize I was so stupid! Well, I didn't have it for long but I did enjoy it for tooting around town while the kids were at school. smile
All i can say here is "ooOooo shiny" Nice capture Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks a million, Brian. It was such a beauty!

Amazing shot - crystal clear sharpness and perfectly framed.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Thomas.
