The Life of Riley

...while the rest of us worked our tails off!

This is Bishop, the farm cat, who lollygagged around while we worked 8-hour days,
getting ready for the farm wedding (in Michigan last week).
She LOVES attention.  How could you resist her??

On Friday I'll actually show a wedding photo, I promise.

Ginnie Hart: I'm not around animals very much at all, Elaine, but whenever I see Bishop, she steals my heart. Thanks.
Bishop is a beauty-full cat, all right. I'd love to give her some TLC! She looks a lot like my cat. Great image as always...
Ginnie Hart: Sometimes you never see hide nor tail of her, Larry, but when she comes out from wherever, she wants all the attention she can get. smile Thanks.

She's working, Ginnie.

Her job is to keep everyone's feet on the ground.

Beautiful portrait.
Ginnie Hart: I think you're right, Ray! She did have a grounding influence on all of us. smile Thanks.

No resistance here, Ginnie! I'm sure she would love this picture if she could see it. What a sweet cat.
Ginnie Hart: What a nice thought, Kay. When she shows herself, she sure is beautiful. Thanks.
I love it...animals on their backs or rolling around is pure happiness for me!
Ginnie Hart: You would totally love this cat then, Heather. She loves to roll around on her back. Thanks.

aaaaahhhhhh, I had the pleasure of meeting Bishop and she even loves me....erm.....few of you know that I have a 'slight' dislike of cats.....however.....I think Bishop is the exception to the rule.....
This picture is just fabulous, love the eyes.....MLS....you did so geweldig, een KSK voor this one... wink
Ginnie Hart: I knew you'd get a kick outta this shot today, MLMA. So this is for you. Even YOU cannot resist. grin Ontzettend bedankt voor jouw support!

This is fantastic, Ginnie. Not only a great photo, but the processing is splendid. Good to see Bishop is doing well.
Ginnie Hart: I don't think I saw her once during the entire wedding day...too much going on, I guess. But it sure was fun to see her the rest of the week. Thanks, Sherri.

I'm not the biggest fan of cats but he looks so adorable.
I like how his eyes give the picture that extra POP
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Kizz, for stopping by and commenting. I'm not a big cat person myself but it sure is hard to resist this one! smile

Selective coloring works well here. Lucky Bishop, I need some lazy time myself smile
Ginnie Hart: Lucky Bishop is right, SAVO. I guess we can learn a lesson from her...to always take time to relax, no matter what's going on. Thanks.
Lollygagged, thats a new onesmile Cute cat.
Ginnie Hart: It's a good word, Nigel. grin Thanks.

I couldn't resist her Ginnie: she was just doing what cats do so well!
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Chris. Exactly! smile
Such a lovely pussycat smile she looks like she is very spoiled over there.
Ginnie Hart: She is definitely spoiled, Delia, if/whenever she wants attention and comes around to show her face. smile
So nice, I would like to see a sepia too
Ginnie Hart: Because I used the selective coloring, Chantal, I made the decision to NOT go the sepia route. I should have tried it, however, to see why I made the decision! smile

A sweet perspective- I would like to scratch softly this beautiful cat- a cat with real greenish cat-eyes!
Ginnie Hart: Real cat-eyes, indeed, Philine. Somehow I just had to leave them "real." smile Danke.
Gorgeous - both the cat and the image
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Brian & Alix!

She was doing her job, Ginnie. How many times did someone stop to rub her belly. It got someone to slow down for a moment, calm down, smile and walk away with a different headspace, probably with a smile on their face.
Ginnie Hart: You are so right, Mary. I guess that's what they're here for...to give us perspective?! Thanks.
Lovely portrait Ginnie. You caught her whiskers brilliantly and I'm sure she is totally adorable.
Ginnie Hart: She would hardly lie still enough for this picture, Janet, so I'm just glad it came out. Thanks.

excellent choice of selective coloring here.. cats sure are lazy, aren't they? grin great shot!
Ginnie Hart: They sure seem lazy, Rian, you're right. I have a feeling she keeps pretty busy in the barn when we're not watching. smile Thanks.
Great shot Ginnie and well thought out to leave the eyes still in colour.
Ginnie Hart: I'm glad I thought of it, Brian. smile Thanks.

Isn't she a green-eyed cutie! You must've been crawling for this one, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: It took the longest time for her to lie still enough for this, Mia. It was pretty hysterical. Cats never do what you want them to do, of course. smile Thanks.
LOL.. doing what cats do best, Ginnie.. nothing! You've really made the most of the gorgeous eyes.
Ginnie Hart: I have a lot to learn about and from cats, Alan...one thing of which is that she paid no attention to what I was asking her to do! HA! But she finally did turn her eyes towards me. smile Thanks.
I can resist no cats. i love them allsmile
Ginnie Hart: HA! They've wrapped themselves around your little finger, I see. grin

Lollygagged? That is a new word to me. And I don't even see the lolly smile

Excellent conversion though.
Ginnie Hart: That's a fun word to use every once in awhile, Louis...when you're just lazing about! grin Thanks.
There are loads of cat pictures Ginnie..but this is so different. Its beautiful.
Ginnie Hart: You're very kind, Ron. Thank you.
very beautiful shot, like selective color here ...
Ginnie Hart: Thanks a million, Mohammadreza.
Very nice shot, I like interesting unusual position, we booth see some composition problems - cut ear and smellers, but green eyes attract attention ;p)
Ginnie Hart: I guess you could say this is all about the eyes, Miro, and nothing else. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Lovely picture, Bishop looks very relaxed...Cheers, HC
Ginnie Hart: She just wouldn't lie still, that's all. I finally got her to turn her face towards me...and I snapped! smile Thanks, HC.
Lovely, lovely capture.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Kunle.
