Here Comes the Sun

During last week in Michigan, I helped get The Farm ready for my niece's wedding on Saturday.
This week I'll show images from those pre-wedding days...while I work on the actual wedding pics.

These are tiger lilies that grow wild in Michigan/North America.

The light helps to compose an excellent Bokeh Ginnie smile
Ginnie Hart: I do love what back-lighting does, Julian. Gracias!

Welcome back Ginnie. Your capture of lighting here helps makes this picture.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, SAVO. It was a magical moment for me.
Perfection!
Ginnie Hart: That may be a stretch, Larry, but thank you anyway. smile

Fine study of tiger lilies, Ginnie...I really like your excellent use of back-lighting on this piece.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Ray. It was a magical moment.
Impressive smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Debola.
I thought tiger lilies were orange, anyway, this is a lovely shot and those flowers would look nice around a wedding smile congrats to your niece!
Ginnie Hart: You thought correctly, Elaine. These were simply passed through some muting filters, that's all The flower theme for the wedding was sunflowers, also grown on the farm. I'll have to show one of them later. Thanks for the reminder. smile

Love so much about this picture, Ginnie. The backlight, the bokeh, the color treatment. Well done, I am looking forward to seeing the wedding shots!
Ginnie Hart: I have a ton of shots to process, Alex, and most of them will be in photo albums for the family. But I'll show a few as I go along, for sure. Thanks for your support.

Geweldige foto, prachtig licht, great composition, great colours, everything fits in this picture, KSK.
Ginnie Hart: You would have been in photography heaven, Astrid, the entire week. There was so much to see and do. Ever so often, Ruth and I stopped and picked up our cameras, taking pictures of each other. It was fun! DJW voor jouw liefde en support. IHVJ.
Indeed a perfect "sun work"!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, dear Bhavesh.
les tons que tu utilisent sont toujours si merveilleux. j'adore
Ginnie Hart: Merci, O-P. You're a sweetheart!

And very fine lilies they are too
Ginnie Hart: They're always more special when they grow wild, Chris...for some reason!
Lilys in the wild, I'm jealous. I like the processing.
Ginnie Hart: They seem more special in the wild, Nigel, for some reason. They grow for no reason at all but to be a peon of glory!
You have a very special way of presenting your images and this shows well here. I like the transparency of the blooms that you've caught here.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Alan. It was a magical moment.

I like the tone and the shadows on the plants
Ginnie Hart: Thanks a million, Vintage. It was a magical moment.
It is good you are posting again!
A beautiful catch here. They look almost colourless, which is unusual I think.
Ginnie Hart: Bedankt voor jouw support, Wim. I am glad to be back home since last evening. Lots to share in the days to come That colorless look came through many filters, for good or bad!

A beautiful post to start the week Musketeer,we could do with some sun in the UK instead of rain.
Hope all went well with the wedding.
Ginnie Hart: We had so much sun I had to be careful, Tracy, and stay out of it most of the time. My hair is lighter and my skin is browner (or redder). The wedding was great. I'll share more in the days to come.

What a subtle pic- what a lovely, beautiful flower, - "lichtdurchflutet" (sorry, I don't know an equivalent in English; lightflooded?) and full of expectations - a fine preparation for the wedding!
Ginnie Hart: I do like "light-flooded," Philine. It works for me!! Thank you so much.

lovely light and color choice Gin.

i think you need to tone down your use of this effect just a slight little bit. at least so as to reduce the dark fringing around the petals. it's a great effect but i think you can get the best of both worlds if you tone down some portions.

it's great to hear you're doing wedding pix...can't wait to see them! smile
Ginnie Hart: I'm sure, DrAW, there are a hundred different things I shoulda, coulda done. (sigh) I get to a certain point and just stop. Enough already! So you're undoubtedly right. Not sure what I'll show of the wedding pics themselves but I guess I DO need to show something. smile Hope you won't be disappointed. Thanks.

Welcome back! Love the border and delicate, warm lighting, Ginnie. Can't wait to see the wedding pictures. smile Its something I haven't seen much in your archive, and it would be great to see you expand on your photographic horizons!
Ginnie Hart: Well, it was a female photographer and I followed her around, Mia. I kept thinking...hmmmm, maybe I could do that some day. smile Never say never, right?! grin Thanks for your confidence.

I'm so proud of the sharpness of your images Ginnie - I wish I could hold the camera as still tongue
Ginnie Hart: Thomas, I don't get all the credit. Image stabilization (IS) really helps! But thanks anyway. smile
