'Huffed and puffed and still got four flames to go'. lol
Nice capture Ginnie and happy birthday in arrears to your grandson. p.s your chimneys await yougrin
Ginnie Hart: He had enough huff-n-puff left to blow out all the candles at once, SAVO! Good for him. smile And yes, what wonderful chimneys those are!!!
He's doing a good job on the candles and you captured the moment perfectly.

A surfer dude in the making? Or just fond of surfing penguins ;o)
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Mike. He loved the movie, "Surf's Up," and he also is a little Hawaiian boy in his heart. His mommy got married there last June 1, so he's smitten with the place. smile

Haha! I love this cake!
Ginnie Hart: It sure does go well with YOUR picture from today, Nathan!!! HA! How fun is that. Nicholas' mommy got married in Hawaii a year ago June 1...and Nicholas has been smitten with the place ever since. smile
Awesome memory that you've captured smile
Ginnie Hart: I see that YOU capture awesome memories yourself, Brianna. Thank you for stopping by and commenting. That means a lot.

I was wondering about him the other day. He has grown so much. Looks like a fun time. I like the lighting here.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you so much, Sherri. You know what it feels like to watch them grow up before your very eyes!

Wonderful Stuff, Ginnie.

I was presented with grandchild #5 just a couple of days ago.
Ginnie Hart: Apart from the two step-granddaughters I "inherited" when Amy married her husband, Nicholas will probably always remain my only natural grandchild, Ray. I guess that means I get to really spoil him forever! smile Congratulations on #5!
its a great moment and also your grandson has a great birthday cake. Nice colour Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Bram. He loved the "Surf's Up" movie and he also loves Hawaii, so that's the theme on his cake. He's my little surfer dude. smile

Lovely colors and composition. Very nice. The crumpled box and unusual collection of cake decoratons makes this sing.
Ginnie Hart: I like the way you put that, Jane. Thank you. I have a sister who often says, "It makes my heart sing" when she sees something she really likes. This boy makes MY heart sing, for sure. smile

This is always 'THE' moment....make a wish.....
Nothing wrong with being proud of your grandson, he is very lucky to have such a loving grandma.....who is the best bowler on his team, tongue he knew who to pick.....
Geweldige foto van een prachtige middag.
IHVJ MLSMV
Ginnie Hart: Now I wonder if he DID make a wish? I was too busy taking the pictures to notice. This was in between our second and third games of bowling. Maybe he was wishing our team would win, which we did. smile He did make me very proud when he announced that he wanted me on his team. He's no dummie. grin It was so much fun. Ontzettend bedankt, mijn LAV.

Perfect timing and a beautiful memory
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Tony. It was one of the best times we've had as a family in a long time. We'll have to do it more often!
Of course you are proud of him smile Love the penguins too!
Ginnie Hart: As the saying goes, "If I had known it would be so fun being a grandparent, I would have done it first!" grin Thanks, Bill.
I hope he blew them out in one puff.
Ginnie Hart: He did, indeed, Chad. Now I wonder what his wish was! smile

LOL.. and I bet he gets hopelessly spolit by his grandmother! Nine candles, eh? ...SO how old is he, Ginnie? wink
Ginnie Hart: HA!! At his age, it's still easy to count. smile And yes, he is hopelessly spoiled by all of who who decided long ago that you can never love him too much. Believe it or not, he has TEN (10) g'mas:

Ginnie Hart: They do a great job here when you pick a them, Chantal. We all were pleased with this one, since he loves Hawaii, where his mommy was married last year.
Big Z - Ha ha ha, (well almost a) wipe out!! smilesmile
Hope he had a nice one, and wishing him the very best.
Ginnie Hart: That movie is one of the all0time best animation movies, Fotografa, isn't it! It has a great moral to the story, too.

Ginnie Hart: Your sister, my grandson...hmmmm. smile It sounds like you have seen the "Surf's Up" movie. If so, wasn't it great! The people who come up with these animations deserve all the kudos they can get, IMHO. Thanks, Mia.
Lovely picture Ginnie..another for the family album.

Sounds like fun! Where is my piece of the cake? =P
Ginnie Hart: HA! I'm sure there's one piece still to be found, Brian (or NOT!). grin
As you know mine are 13,12 & 10. And I can just feel the excitement in this picture. Lovely composition of a special special time. Warms my heart and made me smile immediately. Cheers HC.

I m sure you had a wonderful time and that image is just so perfectly exposed and focus is extra sharp inspite of lowlight conditions. What makes this shot even better is that you haven't used flash in this
Ginnie Hart: I can't remember the last time I used flash, Thomas. This is a new lens for me (28-300) so I was getting used to it that day. I was very pleased with what it gave me. Thanks for your very kind affirmation!
My children Ginnie. Cheers, HC.
Ginnie Hart: I didn't think you were old enough for them to be your grandchildren, HC. smile
Heureux anniversaire à lui
Ginnie Hart: Merci, O-P.
Such a lovely picture Ginnie, you deserve to be so proud. How old is he? That's one amazing birthday cake.
Ginnie Hart: He's 9, John, and full of life and energy! It sure has been fun to watch him grow up. Thanks.

Wow, very nice portrait. I'm sure this picture is going to go in the photo album to look at again and again! And Happy Birthday to your grandson, Ginnie!
(I remember a picture you posted of him with his cousin at the farm in Michigan. He has grown!)
Ginnie Hart: You have a good memory, Kay, and YES, he has grown. These special times are precious to me. I'd like to believe that when he's older, he'll look back on them with fond remembrance. Thanks.
Looks like a great day for him!
Ginnie Hart: It was a great day for ALL of us, Heather. smile
