I hope you didn't tell the couple to take a hike! smile Lovely colour scheme for this series - and what a fantastic area you were in.

(PS. Oh yes, I agree. March light is hopeful and welcoming smile)
Ginnie Hart: HA! I didn't speak a word to them, Ian, trust me. grin Thanks.

Well I would Ginnie - but I'm afraid we are on different continents!
Ginnie Hart: It's funny, Chris, but after reading all the comments, everyone thought I meant HERE in Zurich...and I am NOW in Atlanta. I didn't really have a particular place in mind. LOL. I'd telecommute/port anywhere for a nice stroll. smile

Thought I would be first for once, rather than last ;o)

Looks chilly - but I do like the framing of the trees - so typical of lakesides in Switzerland - in fact I might have sat on that bench ;o)

Have a goog weekend Ginnie ;o)
Ginnie Hart: Well, since you're from "the third stone from the sun," Mike, it's appropriate that you're the 3rd to comment. smile It sounds like you have some good memories of Switzerland!

i agree with them, if there was some way to teleport, i'd be there snapping away in a blink of an eye too.. grin great shot! grin
Ginnie Hart: And I was actually thinking of here in Atlanta, Rian! grin But anywhere would be nice. Thanks.

Gee, Ginnie...I want to say "Yes", but I already committed to be at a friend's wedding.

I'll spend a little time over the weekend, pretending I am strolling about Zurich with you, and you are pointing out the sights and suggesting opportunities for my travel snaps...

Perhaps I might get lucky and manage something nearly as good a this gorgeous shot!
Ginnie Hart: I don't think anyone in the world needs to suggest anything to you, Ray, for your travel snaps! You do just fine all by yourself! BETTER than fine, truth be known. But thanks anyway. smile

fly me to Zurich, Ginnie, I'll take a stroll with you.
Ginnie Hart: It's a long shot, Viktor, but just as possible, I guess, as a stroll here in Piedmont Park?! smile
nice framing
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Ade.
Would love to take a stroll especially at such a beautiful place. The boats on the lake look so inviting. Great capture, lovely framing with the trees. Nice one Ginnnie.
Ginnie Hart: You'd have a heyday in this place, John. You'd go crazy with photo ops!

Lovely place for a stroll. Your capture is superb and once again you have those wonderful subtle colors.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Sherri. It's funny because when I picked up my grandson from school yesterday, the first thing he wanted to do when we got home was to take a walk...which we did, all around his neighborhood. smile

Ginnie, I love the colour tones in this one. Take not a hike, take a stroll. Nice work. Hope you are well.
Ginnie Hart: A stroll is definitely more what I'm up for today, Affi! Thanks. smile

Sounds like a good idea, too bad, you are so far away, be nice to get a lil chatter in.
Wonderful sharpness in this photo, the subjects are blurred out but i can take that as they are alive and moving =P Nice shot Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: They wouldn't stand still for anything in the world, Brian. They were definitely on a mission. grin Maybe we could meet here in the States instead...but I haven't a clue where you live. And it's supposed to be raining here in Atlanta all weekend, so we may need to take a rain-check!? smile

I wouldn't mind taking that stroll with you, seen the comments I think all SC will be with us, so we might ask them to take a hike grin...erm....I hope I do not offend our friends here, so yes first a stroll and than a hike, I think that is fair...
Great framing and the light is superb again, love the dark gray background and you know me, I never get tired looking at boats, so when we get tired of the stroll, I see that inviting couch/bank to sit on and let our thoughts wander around.
Dank je wel voor deze prachtige foto....TGIF once again..wink
Ginnie Hart: LOL, mijn lieve vriend! I should have known you'd come up with this comment. grin For our eyes only!

LOL at Astrid and all the other comments!- yes, a nice idea to meet you and other friendly SC'ers in Züri!
In Netherlands on sunday you could go by the Nederlands Spoorwegen gratis! through the whole country if you have bought a book- for we have "Boekenweek"- and I would like to stroll along the North Sea coast and to breathe deeply the fresh, salty air! But I will be staying at home and taking a little stroll around our Aasee- an umbrella in the hands for sure -like the Swiss couple! Een prettig weekeind toegewenst! Eeen fijn ingelijst beeld!
Ginnie Hart: I've heard about that Dutch "Spoorwegen gratis," Philine, and one day fully expect to take advantage of it!!! Just think, we could go to Zutphen and meet up with Wim, Irmgard en Marcus...and have you meet us there for a nice lunch. So many possibilities to come, for sure. The North Sea is another spot I look forward to, so we may have many strolls in our future, lieve vriend. Bedankt voor de gedachte.
interesting shot
Ginnie Hart: I guess "interesting" is okay, Olivier?! smile
Yes Ginnie but on the other sise of the Atlantic Ocean!
Fine shot.
Ginnie Hart: Maybe we could teleport to wherever, Richard! Wouldn't that be nice!
j'aime bien ce ton photo sobre et cette pointe de couleur du parapluie harmonie des couleurs ici sublime une belle recherche bon travail A+
Ginnie Hart: I hadn't thought of that, Patrick, but it's like the umbrella has become one with the boats! smile Merci.
Everyone seems to be producing pictures with sundued tones, Ginnir. I like this.
Ginnie Hart: You know me these days, Chad...very subdued. Watch out for when I let loose. grin
Nice street capture
Ginnie Hart: I guess you could call it a "street" of a different color, Chantal. smile Thanks.

I would like to take a walk but I think we are to far apart for that. Beautiful color tones in this image.
Ginnie Hart: Since we can "tele" everything else, Frida, surely we can figure out how to teleport ourselves to these different spots for rendezvousing?!

Nice Ginnie, like the DOF in this one ... the background is the star .. great
Ginnie Hart: It was the background for me, too, Klaus, so we're on the same page. smile Danke.

Wonderful scene. Love how you captured the couple walking..totally oblivious to their beautiful surrounds!
Ginnie Hart: I have a feeling they do this every day, Marcie, and ARE totally oblivious except to each other. How sweet. smile
I would be delighted to accompany you smile
Ginnie Hart: Awwwww. What a sweetheart, Bill. Let's go, then!
I know someone who very gladly makes that stroll with you wink
Nice atmospheric photo; the weather was not exceptionally good that day.
Ginnie Hart: I know that somebody, too, dear Wim, and she would not give a hoot about the weather! Neither would I. smile
STROLLING IS ONE OF THE PLEASURES IN LIFE. GOOD WEEKEND GINNIE.
Ginnie Hart: I totally agree, Albert. I know you and your wife do it often, which I love!

Ginnie what a wonderful idea play on the words could mean far more than is commented. Sling your hook take a hike in one case and in the other a nice stroll/hike arm in arm with your nearest and dearest.
Like the framing with the trees very coolsmile
Hope you have a wonderful weekend mijn vreind and take good care Musketeer tonguetongue
Ginnie Hart: You know me well, lieve Musketeer! smile Thank you.
Lovely framing for this Ginnie..and again the tones are great. Nice one!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks a million, Ron.
Lovely picture of this, shall we say, couple from the older generation. May they have many more strolls like this together. I'm sorry, I can't make a stroll with you in the U.S.A this weekend, but if you are ever in the U.K.I suspect a lot of us would be happy to stroll together.
Ginnie Hart: I know, Brian, this is OUR generation. HA! And yes, when I'm back in the UK, we'll have to make sure a LOT of us get together for a very nice stroll! Let's plan on it. smile

I'd take a stroll with you this weekend if I knew where you were grin

Its interesting how the DOF is in the front as opposed to the back, I like it. It focuses more on the Lake, yet gives a nice feel of a lazy evening/morning strolling
Ginnie Hart: Actually, it's raining right now here in Atlanta, Mia, so today's not the best of days. However, it's the thought that counts, so thank you! smile
I've been dreadfully busy and would love a stroll when I'm finished. Hope all's well. I've not been around much.
Ginnie Hart: I know that feeling of being busy, Mary. Right now it's eBay, Amazon.com, consignment and Goodwill trips, etc. Miles to go before I sleep! :|

Ginnie Hart: HA! You're a sweetheart, Louis. smile
I would be happy to meet you again at the end of the catwalk! smile
Ginnie Hart: You never know, José Angel...that might happen again some day. smile
looks like a great spot.
Like the composition
Rob
Ginnie Hart: Even on a chilly, overcast day, Rob, it was a beautiful spot. Thanks.
I am on my way for that stroll smile

nice shot Ginnie. i'd go with you on that kind of weather anytime. i'm seriously tired of snow here. lol! :p

cool processing with this old style colors!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Beat, for stopping by and commenting.
As always, a beautiful setting, clear and well composed picture! Just wondering what it would've done for the pic, had the focus been on the couple?
Ginnie Hart: It's funny, Dirk, but I clearly was not as interested in the couple as I was the harbor...besides the fact that they were on a mission with their strolling right along. It WOULD have been a different image altogether, you're right, if I had focused on them instead. Too bad I can't go back and re-do it!

Great composition, the 2 people walking into the frame really make the photo.
Ginnie Hart: They were almost an after-thought, Nathan, since I was focusing on the harbor and not them. But I'm glad it worked.
bonne fin de soirée et bon lundi A+
Ginnie Hart: I guess now it's time to buckle down and get back to work, Patrick, right?! smile

I will stroll with you any time, anywhere, Ginnie... I like the way the trees form a house shape...
Ginnie Hart: Awww. You're such a sweetheart, Larry, and have made my day. Thanks.
A beautiful atmosphere for this pair. I want to have the old atmosphere with a beautiful natural beach. So that it can walk along the beach .. with a warm atmosphere. Regards from Yogyakarta City, Indonesia.
Ginnie Hart: I think we all have this "experience" in our genes, Bram!
