photoblog image For Sale

For Sale

(A houseboat on the Amstel River in Amsterdam as seen a year ago.)

Some of you know that my life is going through drastic change right now.
I am going through a divorce and our house of 11 years is now up for sale.
It took a lot of blood, sweat and tears but it is now ready for the market, in spite of the lousy economy.

Please wish us lots of good luck for a speedy sale.

All it needs is one, good buyer!

I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope things work out well for you, things will! i just know it. On the lighter side of things, you now also have posted another lovely photo, not as cheery as usual but has all the technical details covered. take care!
Ginnie Hart: I'm a firm believer that we're never given more than we can handle, Brian! Thanks for your support, which means a lot to me.

Best of good fortune to you, Ginnie.

Those brooms look like they are still getting on very well! [grin]
Ginnie Hart: Those brooms still have lots of work left to do, Ray, but the major work is finally done! And I'm still alive and well. smile Thanks.

A fitting image. Hang tough.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Sherri. It's a bittersweet time, often with a roller-coaster pit in my stomach. But I know I will be stronger in the end! It will be worth it all (a good song smile ).

i'm also sorry to hear about your current predicament right now.. let's all hope for the best.. smile and nice image you got here for today, nice work.. grin
Ginnie Hart: I am the eternal optimist, Rian, so I am definitely believing and hoping for the best. It's a very bittersweet time, however, as you'd guess. Thanks for your support.

Ginnie - here's wishing you all the best and the strength you need to get through this tough time. You've captured an amazing image here. Sometimes some of the most beautiful work is created in the toughest of times. Take care.
Ginnie Hart: What you have said reminds me of the Psalms of David, often written in his most trying times. Thanks for that thought, Affi, and your support.

Hang in there Ginnie, great image

Wishes for a quick sale - that goes without saying.

This is another gorgeous photo - I really like the angle.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Martie. We'll see what the Universe has in mind. I have done MY part and now must wait patiently!

The one's that buy this boat are the luckiest in the world, on a boat there is a simple way of lving, I did not say an easy way of living.
Geweldige foto, amazing picture, only two words.....TE KOOP... they mean a lot, both for the one that sells, there is the heart-ache and to the buyer...the joy of a new beginning....
Dankjewel voor deze prachtige foto.
Ginnie Hart: Simple is where it's at for me, lieve vriend. Dat weet jij. My heart no longer aches at selling this house, though I will have many happy memories from here, especially with Nicholas in the woods. There are other houses/homes and other woods and other memories to come that will heal the aches and pains of the past. That will happen for both of us. Dat weet wij!
on le dirait prêt pour les grandes croisières
Ginnie Hart: Large cruises or just sitting still in the harbor (as so often happens with houseboats), either way is fine with me, O-P. smile

Oh yes, Ginnie, good luck and happiness! Some chaos ( the board "TE KOOP' hangs some obliquely- first I thought of a container) - but there is also some order- two brooms might sweep clean, clearing up, clering away- sometimes we need that in order to live on- in a good, lucky and hopefully- happy way!
Ginnie Hart: I feel like the worst of it is behind me, Philine, though the bittersweetness remains, of course. That will take time to heal. But there does seem to be much light ahead, dear friend. Thanks for your support!

Our thoughts are with you. All the best. Brian & Alix.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you for your support, Brian and Alix. That means the world to me. It's not quite as devastating as to those who have lost relatives in your fires there, I'm sure!

Been there before Ginnie good luck.the price of freedom can be high, but your prize when free will be good will it not.
Ginnie Hart: The prize is definitely worth all of it, Vintage. That is for sure!
Oh! Ginnie, is not the good news, although a time ago, by your words in your photos, I thought that the background of this situation was this one. Now, definitively I understand the subject. I hope not to have made inopportune commentaries in this time. I hope you have luck and in spite of the crisis that there is you can obtain good income by the sale of your house. A great hug, Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: It's been going on for a long time, José Angel, so you have been perceptive. Soon it will be over and life will go on in a new direction. It will be worth it all in the end!
A fine image Ginnie. Great tones again!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Richard.
Nice angle...
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Chantal.
Lovely perspective and colour tones.

Good luck with the sale of the house, and the very best for the future.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks for your kind support, Fotografa. It will hopefully all be over soon so that we can move on with our future!

I like the symbolism in your image Ginnie - two new brooms to sweep your life clean! Best of luck with the house sale - change is always difficult but good things can come of it.
Ingrid
Ginnie Hart: I totally agree with everything you have said, Ingrid, and am encouraged by your words. Thank you!
I've been there Ginnie ... and know you'll come through it.

Ginnie Hart: It's not my first time, Richard, so I know the truth of your words. But thanks for the reminder.

Keep smiling Ginnie: you'll be ok
Ginnie Hart: A positive attitude and a smile on the face will make the road less bumpy, Chris, for sure! That's the way I have always operated and I know it works. Thanks for your support.
I like the selective saturation Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Navin. I just looked at your Goa pictures and see that you had a GREAT trip! WOW!

Good luck for the sale Ginnie - must admit its not the best of times though. All things must pass ;o)
Ginnie Hart: I'm definitely counting on "this, too, shall pass," Mike. Thanks for your support.
It will all work out. Brooms and hard work will result in stars, as shown on this boat. Meaningful, I think.
Ginnie Hart: Ohhh, I like the way you put that together, Mary. Thank you for the thought...and your support.

Best wishes to you Ginnie, and hope you get that sale! smile

Love the image, the brooms are such a funny touch!
Ginnie Hart: The brooms made the image for me. Ian, when I first saw this boat. Now, a year later, there's lots of symbolism here for me. Thanks.

Love the image...your point-of-view....how you've processed it. Sorry to hear of your struggles. Wishing you strength and courage to face each bump as it comes!!!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Marcie, for your care and support. It's a bittersweet time right now but I am optimistic that it will all be for the best.
Positive thinking helps a lot Ginnie. Keep that chin up!
Ginnie Hart: I am a total believer in the Power of Positive Thinking, Bernie. It's so much better than the alternative!! Thanks for your support.

Oh that vintage is such a romantic isn't he? Wishing heaps for the future Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Actually, I'm one, too, Aussie. grin Thanks for all your good support. The SC community sustains me these days.
First the image Ginnie, excellent as usual. As to your drastic change I am sure that things will work themselves through as you want them to, perhaps this time next year this stage will seem a long time ago, just as long as e keep on seeing your lovely pictures.
Ginnie Hart: I am so expectant and optimistic, Brian, of what lies ahead. I still have to get through TODAY but I am promised strength for each step I need to take. I have come a long way already, which encourages me ever onward and upwards. Thanks for your support.
Another good picture Gennie as usual. I..or we..have never experienced anything like you are going through. Both Joanie and I wish you all best for the future..and hope to see more of your pic's later. Bless you.
Ginnie Hart: I hope you and Joanie NEVER experience a divorce, Ron. It's like ripping two pieces of paper apart that have been glued together...you end up keeping a torn part of each other even after you leave. It's a bittersweet time for me right now. Thanks for your support.

You would wonder if this houseboat now has a new owner. Great picture and yes everything ends in a sale. Good luck with your sale and may it not end there.
Ginnie Hart: I sure would hope for their sakes that it sold a long time ago, Louis! And I do hope for OUR sakes that ours will sell quickly as well. Time will tell. Thanks for your support!

interesting pov gin smile
Ginnie Hart: It was a big boat, DrAW, and was easy to look up to. smile Thanks.
First, I love the photo.

Good luck on the sale.

I went through a divorce after 25 years of marriage. I found that life can get better and my change turned into something better. Sending love your way.
Ginnie Hart: I was first married for 21 years, Michael, and I thought I would die from that divorce (since it was in the context of finally accepting my gay-ness). But I didn't! In fact, I am learning how to thrive. But THIS time, I do hope and pray it'll be the last. I do not ever want to go through this again! Period.

Great capture Ginnie,

sad to hear your news; i know what you're going through. good luck for the future.
Ginnie Hart: I am counting on a LOT of "good luck," David, for the future. It's daunting and yet exciting at the same time. I feel like the sky is the limit!
Best of luck with everything Ginnie; we're on the move shortly and its not an easy time for change.

Love the prow of this old barge. Chris
Ginnie Hart: It's never easy, Chris, but it's worth it in the end! Thanks for stopping by again!
The first reaction when you hear something like that is being sorry. But we don't realise that one does not have to be sorry but understanding and respectful with your mates' decisions and circumstances. The future will bring you better moments. You are a great woman Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Your words are deeply touching, Albert. I do believe in the best in situations like this. I am optimistic, even when I have my down times!
A fine picture Ginnie, do the brooms mean a clean sweep for you, hope it all works out, difficult though it will be for you.
Ginnie Hart: A clean sweep, yes, Les. Lots of symbolism in this image for me!
Excelente composicion y tonos, me gustan, muy bien compuesta.SAludos
