Standing the Tests of Time
This is a short series of my impressions of the Grand Canyon in our state of Arizona, visited on December 1st.
It's 277 miles (446 km) long, 4 to 18 miles (6.4 to 29 km) wide and over a mile (6000 feet/1.83 km) deep.
My 8-year-old grandson asked me where you stand to see the Grand Canyon.
So in case you wondered, this is where...one of them.
Notice the trunk of the juniper tree on the right. It's at least 1000 years old,
twisted by time and the elements!
