A wonderful capture, Ginnie. I especially love the red oar. Neat crop too.
Ginnie Hart: It was a fun crop after I "saw" how it could be done, Sherri. smile Thanks.
I love the panoramic view of the oar. A lovely and unusual shot.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Michael. I was fun to "see" it. smile
A simple but elegant composition and finish. One of my favorites.

Well of course, I love it Ginnie, but then you knew I would! The crop is spot on and the placing of the red oar likewise - a perfect little still life. Thanks so much for the dedication.

...we moeten roeien met de riemen die we hebben.....
....we must row with the oars which we have .....
It is a Dutch saying, if things are bad, we have to hold on what with we have and try to use it for the best we can.......
I love this picture, Ingrid and Red Pen will love this image, I love the image because of the underlaying meaning...it is so true...hold on to the things we can use....even if it is small, there is always hope and when there is hope there is life.
Wow.....so serious talk here...the sun is out, Jeroen my son, came home safely after a two week vacation by CAR to France with 2 friends....tomorrow it will be his 20th birthday...all I want to say; HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND and put the troubles in the fridge..live...and enjoy.
Ginnie, bedankt voor deze geweldige foto..wat een roeispaan/riem/oar voor emotie kan los maken.
Een heel goed weekend!!!
Ginnie Hart: The more Dutch sayings I hear, Astrid, the more I want to speak it and think it fluently! If we don't have hope, we might as well be dead, right?! I'm so glad Jeroen made it home safely. Happy birthday to him tomorrow. He is no longer a teenager but a man! You may have to remind him of that from time to time. smile Altijd bedankt voor jouw aanmoediging.

Astrid, ontzettend bedankt voor deze gezegde en jouw persoonlijke interpretatie! Ginnie, I like this pic, too, especially the red oar, and I find it very friendly to think of special SC-members , you always have the talent to give such a personal touch by "hart en ziel" to this i-net-community!
Ginnie Hart: Jouw woorden "touch" mijn hart en ziel, Philine. Altijd! Ontzettend bedankt!

"Je moet roeien met de vrienden die je hebt”(Erik de Noorman)- you have ro row with the friends you have- a very appropriate saying for Ginnie and Astrid -and I have to add: "Je moet fotograferen..."
Ginnie Hart: Oh, how perfect, Philine. I love that saying! And yes, you know me/us. smile Ontzettend bedandt...opnieuw.

What a nice graphic image. Love it!
Ginnie Hart: It was fun, Ruth. smile Thanks.
Such a simple picture Ginnie, I'm sure Ingrid would like this one. The graphic type background contrasts beautifully with the smooth red of the oar.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks a million, Brian. This was fun for me. smile
I might not have used the red border, Ginnie, in this great image, but that is just my point of view. ps Have you seen Astrid's oranje van anywhere?
Ginnie Hart: Sad but true, Chad...BUT Ginnie is a border person to the very end, I'm afraid. sad And Astrid's oranje van is nowhere to be found. sad
A nice simple picture Ginnie with nice, strong red colours.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Bernie.
