Ha Ha!
At least the dragonfly has not been threaded on a hook and used for bait.

Nice one, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: HA! You're right, Ray! smile Thanks.
Wow! I LOVE the angle and the detail on this one. Very nicely done.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks a million, Caryn, for stopping by again and commenting.

Lovely Ginnie....Are you back yet? Hope you had a great time with your grandson?
Ginnie Hart: OMG, Ada. We got back from Michigan last night and dropped into bed at midnight. Now we're trying to get everything done before leaving the house at noon today for Amsterdam. We are always coming and going. We're CRAZY! smile Grandson Nicholas had a fantastic time on the farm. Now my work is cut out for me to process 600+ images!

Oh, you know these things creep me out and we have swarms of them. I swear we're having a plaguesmile
Ginnie Hart: Dragonflies don't bother me, Sherri, but swarms of them would definitely be a sight. This was just one loner, stuck on the end of that fishing pole! Very harmless. smile

You brought a big smile to my face, great tittle and yes sometimes it is all we do, hang in there and try to survive...I am sure the strong will survive.
Great detail in the wings, you must have been a happy chappy that the little thing posed for you!!!
...en om je gerust te stellen kan ik zeggen dat ik nog steeds hang grin mdo
Ginnie Hart: We both have brede glimlachen today, lieve Astrid! We know what it's like to survive and to hang in there...and to fly away. After hanging in there today, I will be flying away tomorrow. (Of course, I'm also flying away today, gauw!!) smile

I very like this pic- so fragile and -nevertheless as I hope- so stabile! Wonderful details in the wings indeed and a toning like on a cloudy sky (verhangener Himmel) when we don't know how the weather will be! !
Ginnie Hart: There is so much symbolism in Nature all around us, every day, Philine. I love that. Ontzettend bedankt, lieve vriend.
quel animal fabuleux
Ginnie Hart: So small and seemingly insignificant, O-P, but so symbolically "mighty." Merci.

How delicate it is, yet how tenacious. A wonderful capture Ginnie. What is it hanging on to?
Ingrid
Ginnie Hart: It's the end of a fishing pole, Ingrid. I took this at the lakeshore a week ago at Donica's cousin's house here in Atlanta. It was one of those lazy, summer days!
Ginnie, u just get better and better... Excellently delivered!
Ginnie Hart: Woman! Where have you been!!!!! Thanks for stopping by again. I know you're not in Holland...so where are you?? and do catch me up!!!
Amazing those delicate wings, Ginnie. Back to Amsterdam so soon! You should see if Astrid is available to meet you there.
Ginnie Hart: Astrid and I are at least 100 steps ahead of you, dear Chad. grin But you already knew that! Yes, so soon is often not soon enough, if that makes any sense.

Very delicate and full of detail. It amazes me how the wings carry these tiny insects.
Great capture and timing Ginnie.
Safe flight back to AMS mijn vriend.
Ginnie Hart: These wee creatures are a wonder to behold, Tracy. We have so much to learn from them! Bedankt, mijn vriend!

Ginnie Hart: Her was very cooperative, Alex! smile Thanks.
Great composition Ginnie. I hope this isn't a reflection on the airlinegrin
Ginnie Hart: HAHAHA! Me, too, Bill. I doubt it...since it's KLM! My favorite airline of them all! (Delta did NOT hear that!)

It's pretty hard to capture dragonflys ... you can ;-) .. nice one Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: I don't know, Klaus. I have seen a LOT of beautiful dragonflies here and mine, I'm afraid, hardly compares! sad But thanks anyway.

Sometimes I see them doing this for very long periods, and I think they must need a rest after catching all those bugs.
Ginnie Hart: HA! I like that, Ruth. You may be right because this one was very cooperative for a long time. I think he needed a rest! I'm in the airport lounge right now. Our plane will be leaving in another hour or so. See you on the other side!
I'm not sure if I've seen a natural history shot from you before Ginnie, but if any others are as good as this one keep them rolling along.
Ginnie Hart: I do have them ever so often, Brian, but not frequently, for sure. It's always nice to surprise you. smile Thanks.
You've captured one of my favourite animals. Great details. smile
Ginnie Hart: It was definitely fun while it lasted, Julia! smile Thanks.

Ginnie Hart: Yes, Brian, that's a fishing pole. Good eyes! smile Thanks.

And now you are doing a stan here smile

Precariously balanced are the words that came to mind - but then knowing the creatures they have little hooks with which they can hold on very tight.
Ginnie Hart: This one stayed put for a long time, Louis, so I was very lucky. Otherwise, I'm sure this image would not exist. smile
amazing moment and good quick execution. Regards from Yogyakarta Indonesia.
Ginnie Hart: This dragonfly gave me all the time in the world, Bram. I was lucky! smile
