Eye Candy

A short series on Seoul, South Korea, during our transfer day back home from Austrtalia back in May.

Inside the Gyeongbok Palace.
I'm sure there's more to this than meets the eye!

And it's my 500th post.  :)

[Today I'm in Atlanta.]

Congrats on 500! This is a great shot to celebrate with. There is a lot to see, but it is well organized and accessible.
Ginnie Hart: I didn't know it was my 500th when I queued this, Martin. Astrid was the one who told me yesterday before it posted, so I added it to my text. I'm not sure I would have chosen THIS image for my 500th but I guess it'll work. smile Thanks.
Wooowww! The quality work of art high. Very good tone and his composition.
Greetings from Yogyakarta Indonesia.
Ginnie Hart: The colors and details are just amazing to me, Bram. It's almost "too much," but I just had to show it. Thank you!

Very cool lines and colors. It's a little hypnotic.
Ginnie Hart: It's almost "over the top" for me, Jewlya, but I still had to show it. It is what it is! Thanks.

Congratulationssmile and what a festive image for the occasion. Amazing structure and so well captured.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Sherri. It is definitely a festive place and even though I didn't know it was my 500th until after I queued this, I think it does work for the occasion. smile

Reminds me of a few of the highly decorated Buddhist temples in Thailand...especially the ones with heavy Chinese influence.
Beautifully composed and presented, Ginnie, and quite appropriate for recognition of 500 posts.
Ginnie Hart: As I have told others, Ray, I didn't know it was my 500th until after I queued this, but I think it does work for the occasion. Thank you kindly.

Gefeliciteerd met je 500ste foto op SC, ...., you picked a nice one to celebrate the occasion, these colours are a joy for the eye, I have had the privilege to see the pictures you took at the Palace, it sure is one place to visit if we are 'in the neighbourhood'. I wonder if the colour combination has a special meaning, I saw some of the colours in the logo on the drum to.
Have a great weekend.
Ginnie Hart: Ontzettend bedankt, mijn vriend. Yes, you've seen all the photos and have had to guess which ones I'd be showing (or not). I wonder if you're surprised at the ones I've picked thus far?! Anyway, thanks for alerting me to my 500th. I did NOT know it was when I queued this, as you know. But it does bring out the festive side of the occasion. Bedankt!

A wonderful, bright shot to celebrate your 500th shot. I'm sure to enjoy the next 500 as much as the first.

It looks as though the painting could have been done by me. It's quite like my style.
Ginnie Hart: Awwww. If this is your style, Mary, then have at it. I'd love to see your rendition of it. Thank you kindly!

Congrats on your 500- that's some achievement! This certainly fits your description of it very well, although I think I might get a headache if I stayed in there too long.

Ginnie Hart: It was way "over the top" for me, Ingrid, and not what I would have picked for my 500th if I have known ahead of time. But I do think it works for a festive occasion. Thank you kindly!

Quite an achievement; it is not easy to keep a blog interesting and you succeed in doing that.
Today's photo did not load by-the-way.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Wim. My problem is the opposite of some: I always have too many images to choose from!! You couldn't load my image today? Hmmmm. I hope you try again?

Happy 500!! Wow.

Happy us.

Aren't these colors and patterns terrific? This just makes me smile. And your composition is spot on.
Ginnie Hart: It's so funny, Ruth, that SC counts the hundreds while on our other blogs we count the years! Oh well. It's fun, yes. This image is way over the top for me...too much, but it is what it was. So I just had to post it. Thanks, Sis.
You've done it again..and what a great moment to do it. Congrats on the 500th post. I'm still looking at this shot. smile

I'm going to take a look at what I've missed all this time. Take care..have a nice weekend!

Eye candy indeed. This is a visual feast.

A fitting photograph to celebrate your 500th with, many congratulations.
Ginnie Hart: As I've told others, Paul, I didn't know it was my 500th until after I queued this, but I think it does work for the occasion. Thanks a million.
Ingrid is spot on about the effect it would have on you being there too long ... Reminds me of an experiment that was done on the effect that different colours can have on the brain if one is shut into a smallish room paited walls floor and ceiling of all one colour. There was one particularley pericious pink that caused people to become screaming and sobbing wrecks within twenty minutes ...This certainly doesn't have that affect on me in fact it's amazing for a few moments.
By the way five hundred postings Ginnie ... Wow! you must be so so so old ..... ;-) ;-) richard
Ginnie Hart: Very, very interesting, Richard. I can just imagine what that kind of experiment would be like! This one, I think, might come close. smile Thanks.
Perfect title Ginnie. Congrats!
Ginnie Hart: It was all I could think of, ChiChi. grin Thanks.
Great shot for your 500th.Ginnie so congratulations. I love the painted designs, they must be worth a few close-ups in their own right.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Brian, I think you're right. It was so hard to pick the one image I wanted to show of this amazing structure. Thanks.

Ginnie Hart: You are such a sweetheart, Tim. I have so many more images to post I hardly know where to start. smile With all my travels, I have plenty of subject matter, as I'm sure you can imagine. Thank you kindly.
Another great picture, Ginnie! "Eye candy" indeed! I wonder what the history is of this? Every one of those decorations were hand painted...how long did it take, how many artists worked on it? It's amazing! Congratulations on your many photos!
Ginnie Hart: So many questions, so little time. I'd love to know every little thing about it all, Patrushka. Thank you.

Ginnie - I am a week late in saying CONGRATULATIONS on your 500th post! I thought your photos were wonderful when you started - but they are better then ever! I so appreciate your sharing the wonderful things you are able to see. Bringing the world to all of us! THANK YOU!
Ginnie Hart: You sure know how to make my day, Judy. I think you may be my biggest fan. smile Thank you.

The surgery, BTW, was done before it was scheduled to start because the doctor came early. It took only 1/2 hour. I have had no pain to speak of and was able to climb up and down the stairs the minute I got home. I'm a happy camper.
