Time to Dance!

There is a time for everything...
a time to be born and a time to die...
a time to weep and a time to laugh...
a time to mourn and a time to dance.

(Ecclesiastes 3)

It's time to dance now!

[Today I'm in Atlanta, leaving for Amsterdam on Monday.]

Good idea! I am sure you will find plenty of opportunity in Amsterdam.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Martin. The very thought of Amsterdam makes my H&S dance! smile Thank you.

Terrific color and texture and, yes, movement too. You've been playing!
Ginnie Hart: Yes, indeed, Ted. There's a time for everything, as you know! smile Thank you.

I'm ready if you are Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: I'm finally ready, Chris, yes! smile
Gorgeous colour.
Have a quiet dance.
Ginnie Hart: It will be a quiet dance, Michael, at least at first. Suddenly I have whirling dervishes in mind. smile

Lovely textures and fun processing. Enjoy the plane trip!
Ginnie Hart: You know I love to play, Jewlya. It was time! Thank you.
An interesting effect, how did you achieve it Ginnie?
Ginnie Hart: If I remember correctly, Nigel, it was the Fresco and Ink Outlines filters in PS. Those, along with Watercolor, are my favorites! Thank you kindly.

Have a safe journey. Do you work in Amsterdam?
Ginnie Hart: I'm retired, Kanyi, and take care of my domestic partner both here and there. She works for a pharma company and is in Amsterdam half of every month, with an apartment in AMS. We love the back-n-forths and I'm the lucky one, getting the best of both worlds while SHE works! Thank you.

Not the Byrds then, Ginnie...lol
Ginnie Hart: I was definitely around back then, Chad (HA! college age and early marriage), but no, not the Byrds. More like the Whirling Dervishes. smile Thank you.

A very impressive, artistic pic, I have the feeling as if the flower is trying to dance- the shadows are there, but it begins....Ga door, Ginnie, and I wish you a safe flight and a good beginning in AMS!
Ginnie Hart: The flower reminds me of a Whirling Dervish, Philine! smile And that definitely makes me want to dance! Thank you for your travel wishes.
Nice processing. Looks like a good illustration worthy of a book.
Meet me on the dance floor smile
Ginnie Hart: I'm there right now, Kunle. smile I have a feeling we all could use a good bit of dancing! Thank you.

Go for it, girl. Have a great time and enjoy yourself.
Ingrid
Ginnie Hart: Trust me, Ingrid. I'm ready and WILL enjoy myself! Thank you.
We seem to be finally emerging from winter over here so your visit is perfectly timed. Safe journey Ginnie ;o)
Ginnie Hart: Timing is everything, Mike, as they say. But it wouldn't matter. I'll take Amsterdam any way I can get her! We moved there last year the weekend before Easter in early April, so this trip will mark the end of our first year living there. Thanks.
molto originale! un idea carina!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, dear Paola, for stopping by and commenting! That means a lot to me.
You're right Ginnie. It's time to dance, spring is around the corner now!
Ginnie Hart: It'sdefinitely time, Richard. Even Mom would want it! Thanks.

And May your Dance card be full
Ginnie Hart: I have a feeling it will be, Vintage! smile Thank you.
I won't dance, don't ask me
I won't dance, don't ask me
I won't dance, Madame, with you
My heart won't let my feet do things that they should do

Have a good trip Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Just for that, Bill, I WILL ask you! smile You remind me of my older brother who always joked about his Baptist feet! Thank you.
That is certainly a dancing image, Ginnie. Have a dance for me.
Ginnie Hart: You, too, will dance, Mary. We'll both dance together! Count on it. Thank you.
Nice processing...
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Chntal.
Time to dance and sing! This is a gorgeous effect. You must share the "how to" with us one day. Safe journey!
Ginnie Hart: If I remember correctly, Martie, I used the Fresco and Ink Outlines filters in PhotoShop. Sometimes I just have to play/twiddle! smile Thank you kindly.
Fantastic. Like an oil painting. Great PP
Ginnie Hart: You're a sweetheart, Sujit. Thank you.

Time to put on some wooden shoes and do some klompen dancing along the canals. I'll be able to hear you from here.
Ginnie Hart: That makes me think of Michigan's Holland, Ruth, getting ready for the Tulip Festival and the klompen dancing. One day I hope to see Wilma and clan do their thing! I'll have to look for such dancing in AMS this trip!

Ginnie Hart: The magazine shop man will be the only one who will hear and he already likes you, Astrid. We can stop by and warn him first and then dance our hearts out! smile

Wow! Wonderful effect for a beautiful image. Well done.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, dear Reza.
Fitting, very fitting. If this summers BBQ happens will you dance with me ?

J
Ginnie Hart: Ohhhhhh. If the BBQ is gonna happen, Johnny, can you start advertising it now, so that we all can begin making plans?? That will help greatly. And YES, if it happens and I'm there, you can have the first dance! I promise. smile
Love what you have done to the photo! It's beautiful!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Jen. Thank you.

The treatment, and presentation of your image is exceptional, Ginnie.
The image, and the quote you chose, made me think of the main character from one of my favourite books..."Zorba The Greek"...a man who believed "...to Dance..." is to express the essence of Humanity.
Your picture is charged with Emotion!
Ginnie Hart: I didn't read the book, Ray, but I loved the movie! Your mentioning of it has made me want to see it again. Thank you for that reminder. And thank you for your kindest of words.
Condolences Ginnie, I just learned of you Mom's passing... I've been off the "grid" for a while. Best to you.
Ginnie Hart: It actually was my MIL, Hamilton...Donica's mom. And it was very fast, from her January 31st cancer diagnosis to her February 25th death. So we're still in a bit of a shock. But Time is the Healer, we know.

Welcome back!

So dance dear Ginnie as colours do, on your impressionist canvas of life!

And a time to to be a super photographer as always. As always, as you move on, best to you and Donica.
Ginnie Hart: As I always say, Dave, flattery will get you everywhere. smile Thank you kindly.
Beautiful colors and love the processing. Nice job. Amsterdam, that's great, enjoy yourself, you deserve it.
Ginnie Hart: We are so ready to go back to our second home, John. It's been 5 weeks since we were last there, when usually it's 2-3 weeks in between, since we're there about half of every month. Donica's shoulder surgery and Mom's death stretched things out this time! Thank you.

Just as you are coming back to Europe to dance, I am preparing to put on my American dancing shoes, Ginnie. Your photograph expresses so well the spirit of dance!
Ginnie Hart: Passing ships in the night, Kathryn? And how long will you be here in the States? And will you see your family? So many questions; so little time. smile Have a good trip! We'll be whirling dervishes. smile
