When We Need Help

From our Mediterranean cruise in November, 2007.

(As seen on the way to the Monte Carlo Casino in Monaco.)

For the remainder of this week I have health issues to attend to in my family and will need to give them 100% of my time and care.
I'll return to SC as soon as I am able.

[Today I'm in Atlanta.]

Loved ones always come first. Take care, see you soon.
Ginnie Hart: You are so right, Aussie. Loved ones always come first! Thanks.
Excellent image Ginnie with good colour and DoF.

Hope all goes well for you and yours.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you very kindly, Les, on both counts. That means a lot.
I guess we are both sort of in that boat. I do hope that things will go fine!

I'm having trouble uploading, any ideas for help? It either times out or says it's out of memory?
Ginnie Hart: I do, too, Jen. Thanks for your kind thoughts.

Sometimes an image will upload faster if you make the image size smaller, as many on SC do. Other than that, the time of the day may make a difference?
p.s. - would never has guessed you took that in Monaco, it's beautiful!
Ginnie Hart: Isn't it funny what we find out through pictures! Thanks, Jen.
That is gorgeous colour. The blue really jumps out.
Ginnie Hart: It was a nice little surprise, Mike! Thanks.

Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Martin. I'm trying to remember. I'm having to be a "rock" right now but I will try to also take care of myself.

Ginnie Hart: I do feel your care, mijn vriend. Thank you so much. One day at a time. One foot in front of the other. That's how it goes, as you know! Ontzettend bedankt.

Richly coloured and textured image, Ginnie.
Is the Lady in Blue the "Bringer of Good Luck" for those who would go to gamble?
Ginnie Hart: That's what I figured and my original text was about that, Ray...until I made the text fit what's going on right now! Thanks.

See ya later. Look after her/them - she/they will need the support.

I think this is a most appropriate picture for the time to come.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you so much, Louis. This IS a time when I'm needed so the SC break is important. Thanks for being there.
When I was living in the south of France, near Nice, I went to Monaco and was amazed how clean is the city compared to others !!
Hope you're ok Ginnie and hope everything will be allright very soon for you and your family. Looking to see you back as soon as you possibly can ! smile
Ginnie Hart: I was impressed with what I saw, Flo, in the short time we were there in the rain. I'm glad to say "we did it."

Thank you so much for your kind words. One day at a time! I do hope to be back by next Monday.

What a strange little shrine - it doesn't look like the sort of thing you expect to find in a sophisticated place like Monte Carlo! I wish you well with your family.

Ginnie Hart: I wondered if it was because of all the gambling...like a good-luck charm? Thanks, Ingrid, for your kind thoughts for my family.

Sorry I am so late noticing this message. I have a similar, on-going commitment - hence my sporadic attention to shutterchance. I will be thinking of your Ginnie and praying that all goes well. (:o)

Hi Ginnie, family and friends are the NO1 priority. I love to look at your excellent photos and of course learning about the places were they are taken.
I have tried to do that on my site too on a few occasions.

Take care!
Ginnie Hart: You are such a sweetheart, Frida. Thank you for your kind words.
It is great that you have the same subject as Chantal today!
I love the colors here.
Ginnie Hart: I just went to check Chantal's site and you're right, Wim--definitely along the same lines. Thanks.
Also: good luck with everything you have to do. I hope there is nothing serious the matter.
Ginnie Hart: Your words are very kind, Wim. Things ARE serious but we're taking them one day at a time. Thank you.
Dear Ginnie, I hope all is well, and sorry for such a long wait for my return visit. I agree...I guess when we need help, sometimes the only thing we can hang on to is our faith. Hoping you are having a peaceful Valentine. Cheers - {H}
Ginnie Hart: Your words are so very kind, H. Thank you so much!

For me there is a difference between the pic of Chantal and yours although dealing with the same theme; the little figure of the Saint (and the perspective) in Monaco looks quite more tender, modest and quiet; I love her more!
Today my thoughts and best wishes are going to Donica and you...!I hope everything goes well!
Ginnie Hart: Same but different, Philine, you're right. I guess there's a place for each. On a corner of a house, this does seem very tender, modest and quiet. I like your choice of words (as always!). Thank you.

Very cool shot. I am thinking it would have looked even better if it was vertical and didn't have the things on the right. Currently there are a lot of elements in this shot which kinda makes it a little distracting
Ginnie Hart: I know, Navin. Those are good ideas, for sure. Thanks for your suggestions.
Oh! Ginnie. I did not see commentaries yours in my blog and I have worried about you. I hope you solve all the problems that you have in house. I wish the best thing you of all heart!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear José-Angel. God is our bedrock. One day at a time....
Hey dear Ginnie, I love your shots ( as always I do!!!) and you are very right to give yourELF and family a 100% attention and love. YOU & they deserve that! Take care, and become heatlhy soon, my dear!

Today its the 14Th of February, I want to wish you and your beloved one's, a happy Valentine's day with lots of LOVE

Greetings JoAnn/NL
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear JoAnn. Donica's Mom is quickly dying of stomach and liver cancer, so we are spending our time with her and taking care of things.

Sometimes I wish that words could have the enough enchanted strenght to make things happen...so I can do more than hope that all goes well with you and your family...
But there's one thing I can do...I can leave here a warm smile, meaning I'll be thinking of you and yours
Ginnie Hart: Words are "enchanting" to me, Lina, and your words especially are that for me. Thank you!

I hope you're finding little mercies tucked in, like this sweet little surprise.
Ginnie Hart: There are little mercies everywhere, Ruth, when our eyes are open to see them. You know. I know. Thank you for the reminder. We are at Mom's now for the next few days. Out-of-town family is coming to see her over these next 2 days (thanks to tomorrow's holiday) to say their Good-Byes. It feels like a wake, but we're trying to be "happy" for these last moments. Thanks for your support.
