Atlanta Architecture

VZ/Viktor/Nostalgia is an architect in Atlanta.
Both before and after our lunch this past Friday, we walked around the neighborhood near his office where magnificent buildings stand.
One by one, Viktor named the architects for each structure.
This one, he said, is his favorite, by TVS
(Thompson, Ventulett, Stainback).

This AA is for you, Viktor!

[Today I'm in Atlanta.]

Ginnie Hart: Tracy Island??? Wow, a namesake! Well, it IS an amazing building, Tracy, and I understand why it's Viktor's favorite. Thank you, my friend.

Thank you, dear. It was very sweet of you to post the TVS tower in honor of our rendezvous. I have tons of pictures of this building, but not from this point! You got me here, dear.

Ginnie Hart: I do hope you post YOUR images, Viktor. In that regard, I'm glad mine is from a different perspective. As we were driving through Midtown last evening from Stockbridge, seeing this at night, I was wondering if you have any night shots of it? I hope so. THAT would be stunning.

Thank you, dear new friend!

Great angle, Ginnie! And great angles! Crisp detail and look at that clear blue sky! (:o)
Ginnie Hart: I LOVED the blue sky, Roz, which we don't always get these days. Thanks, as always.

A magnificent perspective and composition in order to show off this great and powerful modern building (I'm a fan of modern architecture and I know that Atlanta is a centre in this)
Ginnie Hart: I realize that you're a fan of architecture, period, Philine. I'm most eager to hear more about that when I meet you soon! Thank you.

A graphical shot to an extent. Great capture of lines and I like the angle. Airconditioners must be working overtime in those glassboxes on a warm summer day smile
I think with your building pic abillities VZ should commission you to take his building pics - although he probably can do it himself. Then try another architect tongue
Ginnie Hart: I always wonder about all those glass structures in Atlanta, Louis. I sure hope they've figured out how to make the glass heat/cold resistant!

And yes, I think Viktor can probably take his own photos but I would love to tag along and do it for him. smile I like that idea. Thanks.

While I look at your architecture pic once more , drawing the lines with my fingers I find out that there are seven V's !!!!!!! Nobody of the SC -visiters has detected this phenomenon evoced by your fantastic perspective!
Ginnie Hart: Nobody, including ME, dear Philine! You amaze me!

You can be proud of Atlanta, what a fine city. This is lovely, and how nice of the sky to cooperate.
Ginnie Hart: Atlanta is one of those cities where people come to study architecture, Ruth. I need to go around more to see what all is here. I'm sure I'd be awed because this is only one of MANY such structures, all very different. Thanks.
