Ginnie Hart: Gelukkig Nieuwjaar, mijn vriend. The whole year is ahead of is in so many ways, especially photographically. Don't you wonder what all we will discover and learn in the days to come! When I think of 2007, I am astounded by the growth of all of us on SC! Here's to another year! Dank je wel, Astrid.
Were you a bad girl and sent out for the night? I bet not! Best Wishes for a great 2008, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: HAHA. No, Mary, I was not a bad girl, but this time I DID do some more exploring in that big ole barn! This was from the "basement," accessed from the back. Best wishes to you, too, Mary, for a great 2008. Thank you.
Yet another Barn shot. And Ginnie, this is inspired!! What a welcome to 2008. Here's to more photoblogging with you great guys!
Love the PP here.
Ginnie Hart: Oh yes, Abisola. We have another entire year in front of us. One day at a time we have the chance to make it a better year! Thanks for joining the SC caravan. smile

Happy New Year Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: The same to you, Roger. Thanks for joining the SC caravan from time to time. smile
It looks like you found a good place to hide to get some peace and quiet - not a bad way to start off the new year! It looks like you are peeking out of a cozy fox's den, into the cold world outside.
Ginnie Hart: I love the image of a cozy fox's den, Patrushka. Sometimes that's exactly what I need to get perspective on life!

Happy New Year to you and yours.

Your original "Happy-New Year"-pic is suited to the occasion today combined with beautiful words! Dark and bright- belong together indeed, but the vista on a lovely snowlandscape is the main thing, ful of hope for our future!
And I hope to see many more views through your wonderful photo-eyes basing on heartand soul and a ver warm intererst in human life and human beings all over the world!
Ginnie Hart: Your words always touch me deeply, Philine, and encourage me to be the best I can be in everything I do. It is my commitment to you and "all over the world," to be very warm in my human interest! It's so much better than the alternative!

Happy New Year! I hope soon I will be meeting YOU!
Happy New Year for you Ginnie and your family and friends. All the best for 2008 !
Ginnie Hart: The very same to you and yours, dear Flo! Thank you.
A very Happy New Year to you too Ginnie. Lovely shot to end the year
Ginnie Hart: The end and the beginning! Thanks, Bill. This is the first day/year of the rest of our lives (yes, that over-used cliché!).

Same idea Ginnie. Don't we say: Great minds think alike. Let's have a modest start of the new year. My best wishes to you and yours
Ginnie Hart: Oh yes, Richard. Great minds! Maybe it's our age. smile Thank you!
Great shot Ginnie. A very Happy New Year to you. Hope it's a good one.
Ginnie Hart: The same to you and your darling family, Bernie. I always love to start the first day of a year with wonderment over what lies ahead...and then stepping into it, one day at a time.

What a great shot to start the new year with Ginnie. I must catch up with all your pictures that I have missed over the past week or so - what a treat!
Ginnie Hart: You didn't miss anything since Christmas, Paul, because I didn't post while I was gone. So this is it! But I do appreciate the kind thought. Happy New Year! smile
This image makes me think of a new day dawning and as you say a new chance to smooth the rough. Lovely image Ginnie. Off to see my Mum very soon, catch up when I get back.
Happy New Year!
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Jose-Ann--always the chance to smooth whatever rough edges we find! smile Have a lovely day with your mum. Happy New Year again!

Happy New Year Ginnie - a great start to 2008. This makes me think of the view some sheltering animal would have of the snowy landscape.
Ingrid
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Ingrid. Sometimes we need that cozy view! Thank you and the best to you and Mike this new year! I still grin when I think about "discovering" your relationship! smile

Happy New Year Ginnie ;o)

I see you found a bit of real snow - love the photograph. Looking forward to all your new ones in 2008. Mike
Ginnie Hart: I did find snow indeed, Mike. Three inches of it fell before my very eyes the day after we arrived in Michigan. It was one of my best Christmas gifts!

The best to you and Ingrid this new year, as you step into it together. I still grin when I think of how I "discovered" your relationship not too very long ago! smile

Looks cold and raw. I'm glad I'm inside.
Ginnie Hart: Me, too, Ron. It felt so cozy being on the inside looking out! Happy New Year!
Dearest Gramma Ginn. I have been terribly remiss with my lack of commentary on your photos these last few months, I have had some terrible times of late, which hopefully are behind me now. I have watched your photography though with keen interest, you have become a very accomplished and popular photographer and you have my sincerest congratulations for what you have achieved. Many, many kind wishes for the coming year and beyond. Neil.
Ginnie Hart: This is the first day/year of the rest of our lives, Neil. How much more cliché can I get than that! But it's true. We all are given a clean slate as we go into this year. I do appreciate your kind and loving words. May we all be surprised by joy this year! The best to you and yours in 2008!
Happy New Year Ginnie have more fun this yearsmile
Ginnie Hart: Absolutely, Nigel. smile The same to you.
My first thought was...wonder how this would look in a big print - because it looks like you have kept some detail in the dark areas.

A happy New Year to you and yours Ginnie smile
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Aksel, I did keep some of the detail. I went back-n-forth on that, but I'm guessing you would see it in a larger print. Thank you.
Happy New Year Ginnie, your post of today says it all, the photography is speaking loud and clear, beautiful.

Happy Happy New Year!!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Patrick. And the same to you!
All the best for 2008! (:o)

Wonderful window! I'm trying to picture where this is. On the front? So glad we ended the year with you, which also feels like we started the new one with you. smile I look forward to a new year of photos from you, lovely sister.
Ginnie Hart: HA! That tickles me, Ruth. Well, I know I was standing down underneath the barn from the back but I think I was looking out the front? Anyway, you know I just love your barn. What a place!

We were so lucky to end last year with you. And yes, it DOES feel that we started the new one with you as well! Don't you wonder what 2008 holds for us photographically!

Just beautiful !!! Happy New Year and what a nice way to begin the year ...
Ginnie Hart: Thanks a million, Ann. We begin this new year together here at SC. What a nice feeling.
Good contrast Ginnie, I like the way you have framed the outside with the wood of the barn.

Have a good new year and I look forward to seeing some more excellent images in the coming months.
Ginnie Hart: It'll be a good year on SC this new year, Les, because we've built such a supportive community. Thank you for being a part of it!
