Pretty Boy

Here's the honest-to-God story:  Back in October when daugher and friend were visiting and we were walking all over tarnation here in Amsterdam, I stopped to take a photo of a gable stone.  As soon as I clicked, I heard a voice nearby saying, "Take MY picture; take MY picture.  I'M a famous landmark!"

I turned around, saw this guy rolling up his work binding and said, "SURE!"

He immediately went into model pose and pretended he was coiffing his hair.  How could I resist!

WOW Ginnie, this is a good looking guy and you know what, THIS is Amsterdam too, people with a good sence of humor and I would say; you picked that up realy quickly tongue tongue, LOVE IT, I see the t-shirt of the guy, he is a hard worker....steigerbouw means he is in scaffolding, have a nice weekend smile
Ginnie Hart: You have got to be a teacher, Astrid! I feel that I am always learning something new from you. Now I know what the Pretty Boy does! Thank you, thank you. You can teach me something any time you want. I just hope I can retain it!

And I think you maybe have a bit of sun by now? We have some here in Amsterdam today. Yesterday we had a cozy day without it, which was just fine by me!

Thanks, as always!

Who could resist that smile! Great shot Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: That's what I thought, Scarlet. I think you could have some of it rub off on you after your recent experience at the dentist's! Do take care with your beautiful smile. Don't let anything detract from it!

I couldn't resist too Ginnie. Nice model, nice pose, nice portrait. Well done
Ginnie Hart: I glad to see I'm not crazy, Richard. smile Thanks.
Very nice catch Ginnie, he's easy on the eye too, a bit like myself.grin
Ginnie Hart: HA! And we're all so modest around here, Sesan. grin Thanks.
He looks a lot more affable than the scaffolders we have in Bath - wouldn't risk taking their photos. But then I probably lack your charm ;o) Nice portrait btw ;o)
Ginnie Hart: Awww. Mike, I'm quite sure anyone would turn their charm on for you! smile Thanks.

Yes! I wish everyone was so cooperative for us photographers!
Ginnie Hart: It's a rare time when someone offers their services first, for sure, Clarence. It was so unexpected! Thanks.

Hi Ginnie dear, sorry to be scarce these days.

I love it! And it only rubs in the fact that at the hospital waiting for Don I didn't take a picture when the guy in the waiting room saw me with my camera and said, "I don't normally like my picture taken, but you help yourself," in the most hilarious dramatic voice and manner. I was too shy, what a stupid girl I am. Opportunity knocked . . .
Ginnie Hart: Oh, Ruth! If we had a dime for every opportunity we've missed, regardless of whose initiative, we'd be very wealthy sisters, I'm sure! smile Next time opportunity knocks, I bet you'll snatch it up without blinking an eye. Just knowing the guy said what he did is precious in and of itself. Thanks for sharing that.
Ginnie you should have taken his number!
Ginnie Hart: HA! And then I could have given it to you, Jose-Ann, right? smile How fun, the thought.

This can be a famous guy if he keeps on posing. Soon he will be known as the most photographed scaffolder and then he will be famous.

Great picture and processing.
Ginnie Hart: LOL, Louis. You always bring a smile to my face. Thanks.

What a lovely, happy looking chap he is too. I'm glad you took him up on his offer ... I wonder if he'll ever see this?
Ginnie Hart: I doubt it, Ellie. That would be a needle in a haystack...unless he Googled Pretty Boy! smile Thank you kindly. Hope this weekend is relaxing for you!
Nice relaxed portrait. All the best, Dave.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks a million, Dave. Hope you're having a relaxed weekend. smile
Really a great portrait!
Is he aware of his appearing on your blog?
I like those friendly daily encounters, great smile here. Mine told me his whole life walking over roofs, loved that too. Thanks for sharing ! (our guys should meet wink i love workers, they build for us !). Have a nice day, Ginnie*
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Karine, our boys should definitely meet. Mine said the same thing: "Please take my picture." smile I love it.
