Since October is the month for America's baseball play-offs before the World Series starts on October 24th, here's a week of pics from when we attended the game between Atlanta Braves and the Houston Astros on August 2nd.

Besides Coca-Cola, Atlanta is also the home of Delta!
I would be totally remiss if I didn't pay homage to this airlines that gives me so many frequent-flyer miles to fly back-n-forth to Amsterdam every month (often via their Sky-Team partners, like KLM).
And thanks to Donica for all the miles she flies that makes this happen!

Speaking of which, she flies back to Europe on Sunday and I fly back on Tuesday.

[But today I'm in Atlanta.]

Again, nice layers in this shot. Something about baseball stadiums really works well for that one third one third one third rule.
Ginnie Hart: This was fun for me, Jewlya. Glad you've enjoyed it as well. Thanks.
What I like most about this is the line of pennants, and the way the various elements stack up.
Ginnie Hart: Those pennants, Red Pen, mark off all the years we DID make it to the play-offs! So it's very impressive, indeed. Thanks.
How it is possible that these nocturnal photos have so good definition at that little speed? You used tripod? They are impressive by the clear thing that is!
Ginnie Hart: I had my little gorilla tripod attached to a side railing near my seat, Jose. So, yes, I DID use a tripod. smile Thanks.

well framed Granny!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, NaCha.
Can I send a dollar so that you can put it on mega millions for me, will give you something if I win wink. Love the colours.
Ginnie Hart: I love it! Sure, Sesan. Send me your dollar and I KNOW you'll share your winnings. grin Thanks.
I like the patterns most in this shot, have a nice weekend Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Your shot today, Dotun, is a cracker of a shot. Bravo. This is nothing compared to that!!!
I think Delta is flying to Nigeria now!
Ginnie Hart: That wouldn't surprise me, Etomi. They go just about everywhere. But KLM is my favorite airlines thus far. Thank god they're a partner. smile

Ginnie Hart: You're such a sweetheart, Tracy. Always so encouraging. Thank you. Donica will appreciate your travel wishes, as do I.

I'm with Red Pen, it's the line of pennants etc.
Ginnie Hart: Well, those pennant are very awesome, Aussie, because they represent all the years we DID go to the play-offs. A lot! Thanks.
An intrigueing shot; I like it.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Wim.

Great shot again Ginnie. I love the different color and the feel of this image. (in all my years of visiting the US i've never managed to get to a game :-(
Ginnie Hart: Maybe one year you'll make it, Scarlet. In the meantime, I'm glad I could give you a peek. smile Thanks.

I like how the Delta name and logo stands out in this picture. The Mega Millions draws my attention. Sigh.

Great shot.
Ginnie Hart: HA! Donica makes sure we're park of that Mega Million every week. I just watch and listen. grin Thanks, Louis. Have a great weekend with your horse and family.
So we can welcome you back to Europe and more great pics of Amsterdam etc?
Ginnie Hart: Yes, indeed, Bill. The photos are already queued up. smile Thanks.

Nice! What are all those flags with years?
Ginnie Hart: Those pennants, Ruth, represent all the years we made it to the play-offs! 1995 was the one year we won the World Series. smile So fun. Thanks.
Nice composition, colours, clarity Ginnie. Very intriguing shot.
Ginnie Hart: You're a sweetheart, Bridge. Thanks.
What a life Ginnie.. flying all over the place. How exciting. Have a great weekend and thanks for this magnificent insight into baseball. There are just so many areas of interest on all of these photos.
Ginnie Hart: Well, Gale, it IS our life, going back-n-forth to Amsterdam every month because of Donica's work. That's why I always say on every post where I am. It's confusing enough for me, so I'm sure it is for everyone else as well. It also makes me change the photos I show, depending on where I am, if that makes sense. Thanks.
Ball fields have so much stuff to shoot. This is a nice capture.
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Gail. I did find that out that night. Thanks.
Interesting tongue
Ginnie Hart: HA! THGA!
The score board is interesting... full of stat's no doubt. But it's left standing when compared with a cricket Test match scoreboard between England and Australia. Stat's ...don't we just love them? I like the contrasting 'subtle' and 'in your face' lighting in the diferent layers. richard.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, we love the stats, Richard. Guess we can't live without them! smile Thanks.

Another top shot Ginnie ..
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Shakara.
Great shot, were you there?
Delta is also an Airplane-company name, I flew with "Delta" this year and we had a stopped-over in Atlanta .

Today I posted The history of "the Zaanse Schans" (North of Holland) and its "houses and windmills" I never write so much but this post should be enough for the weekend.

have a good weekend!!smile
Ginnie Hart: Yes, JoAnn, I was definitely there. smile

Zaanse Schans is one of my favorite places in Holland. But it's been 9 years since I was there! You, too, have a great weekend. Thanks.
toujours le bon angle!
Ginnie Hart: Always a lovely comment, O-P. Thanks.

Aren't air miles a wonderful thing? I still have over a million miles to use. One of these days I will get back to the states and make a tour of the SW states.

Interesting detail in this shot Ginnie, guess those are the corporate boxws we are looking at?
Ginnie Hart: I don't know if those are the corprorate boxes, Mike. I think they're behind me, behind home plate. But what do I know. Anyway, there's a lot here at this stadium, for sure. Thanks.
I like very much this serie !
Ginnie Hart: Thanks a million, Zeb.
Oooh! Powerful shot Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Chris. smile

My favourite so far Ginnie smile
Ginnie Hart: Really! And I was thinking it wasn't quite sharp enough or something in the bottom third. Thanks for saying so.
Lots of good horizontals in this Ginnie. Very colourful too.
Ingrid
Ginnie Hart: Thanks a million, Ingrid!
Another great nightime shot. All the best, Dave.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Dave.

Another colourful piece of advertising, perhaps a bit later than the Coke one as it looks a lot darker. Well seen.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, it was later, Les, as the night progressed on! Thanks.
